At 500 pts chariots are good only if your opponent uses infantry (i would always use horsemen,for eg.:Silverhelms).Replace the carrions with a scorpion.If you need to win some points for other units,use a swarm.The army that i had the best results is a defensive army;and i always use a LHP.Also,from what i have seen,you need more dispel scrolls.That's a personal opinion though,just try everything ;)
