Well something has changed. Unforttuneatly Owaria has had a few problems IRL and so has asked me to take over his duties as Editor for the Herald, so here I am. Now for my plans....


In theory his idea was good, three members write the articles and the rest send them in to be put into the mag too. But the problem then stands at whether they can do it. As shown problems IRL can arise and means that the articles and mag won't be done, thus making everyone all sad and cry.

So I plan to make a few changes; the first being a team. I don't mean three or so I mean a good number, still thinking on it but most likely about six or seven of us. So while I dwell on this you can show me what you can do, here's how -

This is gonna be CV style, I want experienced members. I'm sorry for all those new members and hobbiest willing to help but for the best articles that will help you grow in painting, gaming or converting are best from those who know how to do them. But of course you're all still welcome to submit articles.

So...

Name -
Armies - (with pts)
Experience - This is the biggest part, as said experienced members only. But I want to know how long you've been playing, and your skill (be truthful here, no "I teh Uber god of FB!!!" kinda stuff), you painting skills (painted armies, pics if possible) and regular opponents, tourny history.


Yes I'm going in depth here folks, if we're going to do this then we're going to do it well.

Examples - Yes, I need to see example of your work. So any tactica, guides, article you have written up send them too me. You can do it either with the article attached via email (use word preferably) or a link to your work on the net (be it here or somewhere else).

Why? - The hardest parts of applications... why. Why should you be given the chance of a part in the team? What makes you a good member? Are you objective? Look at both sides? What could you bring? Think on these questions and anything else you think is relevent.

Or PM the above form with links to your work, if it's on the net.

Now other stuff, as well as writers we'll need artists. To make it look good we need someone to create a front cover and maybe bits of art work inbetween too, apart from using GW pics (with a disclaimer of course) we'll need something to make it look good.

Thoughts on submissons

Not all need to be how to use armies or such, stories, painting guides, conversion guides and that are all welcome. Basically anything that will make the mag good. But the articles will need to be written well, using spellcheckers, proper grammer etc I will of course look through them and see what I can see maybe even send it to others as well, but ultimately it saves time and effort if you can do this on your own work.

Obviously with the change and problems the issue is going to be pushed back, so I'm afraid the third issue will appear when it appears. We won't know when till the team gets together and gets it all sorted, and discussed. So please be patient.


If I think of anything else I'll let you all know, so lets try to get this back upon it's feet.

Am I still part of the writers as I was originally appointed and so am part of the team.....

I'm afraid you'll have to reapply too Cal, as I said I'm doing it different to Owaria. So this means a complete change, of course there's a chance you'll still end up on the team but its not automatic.

There's isn't any, when enough people apply and I choose six or seven then we'll start on the mag.

Anyone? So far I've had two submissions, I'm aiming for six or seven (tho preferably more so I can choose others from).

If you're worried about being busy, it's not that bad because if you all remember this is a ezine that appears every two months. So that's about eight weeks for you all to create an article and get it looked in etc, surely we can do that?

I'm not gonna name names and ask for specific members, as it be unfair, but there are some great members that could do some wonderful work on this and help turn it into something great.

So come on people, apply!!

This a one off offer? As in write a single article or you offering to become part of the team? Either way ta, if you could do one I'd be mighty grateful.

Well, it's a one off offer because I don't have any articles elsewhere on the 'net that would get me a job. :) But I'm happy to write stuff assigned to me, so...well, it'll be up to you, I guess.

As I said you don't need to have it on the web, you could write a small piece. The basic idea is to show me your writing, how compitant you are and your spelling (don't bother pointing mine out...) and what you're capable of.


Like I said anything you'd like to send me is welcome, but if you're sending me an article please make sure you put what it's for. If you're aiming to apply to get on the team then make sure you include the rest, but if it's just and article then make sure I know. ;)



Please people, everyone got worked up a month or so back when this was revived. Where's your support now? We do have some great members here that could do wonders with an article or two, or art work ("Is there an artist in the house?" ;) ) hell even stories. Sure articles are good but a short story adds something extra.

I'm gonna keep screaming and bellowing about this untill you all start to help, so that's pieces of work and anything else. I'm not fussy what it's about, just as long as it's written well.


And remember either put it in a word .doc and attach it via an email or a link via PM.

I offer my services. I belive from our chats on D.net you know what I am capable of. I will try and get it done, but I am not sure if I have the time. Let me know if you want me. I can do anything, even magic tricks - well ok not magic tricks. ;). Now that the Godfather is back, we can make this site rock...
