Title: LOL! The she-ogre has a beard!
Description: You think I'm joking? Think again!

Goblit Skullhelm - December 15, 2004 05:40 PM (GMT)
Okay, I'd seen the female maneater before, but never with the optional beard!
Take a lookie!

 The ogre models just get funnier and funnier! Mind you, I'm not actually using the beard on her, it looks terrible. Terrible but hilarious.

Also, the entire ogre range is now on the US site for those who haven't seen it. Here!

*Insert Janice noise*
Oh my god!!
*Take off janice noise*
I actually think someone is making she-men and he-she's as the new high elf mage is disturbing.
Though I think I will add a unit to my 2k army as they are very cool models. But need to be converted to fit my them.

I'll probably get the ninja ogre.

Health Hazards - December 15, 2004 09:24 PM (GMT)
What is next, a half male and half female ogre.

*Health Hazards waits patiently*

A tad chauvinistic, no? She's carrying a giant rolling-pin...

You'll notice it says in italics that the beard is false (for those who hadn't noticed the discrepancy in hair colour). Still, I like the model :).

And hate the army... *seethes with rage for a while*

Amusing. Stereotyped, but amusing, I suppose.

Luc_Arkhame - December 15, 2004 11:15 PM (GMT)
How can you have an ogre ninja? Ninjas are supposed to be stealthy by trade, somehow I don't think an ogre could sneak up on someone unless they had no hearing, sense of smell or the ability to feel the earth shaking slightly under their feet.

Benedictus - December 16, 2004 01:12 AM (GMT)
Which is the amusement factor. The ogre's obviously liked the ninja look and has decided to mimic it.

You say that now, but I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want to be hit by the thing! Or sat on...

Benedictus is right, that's a maneater model. Maneaters travel the world as mercenaries, and dress in the manner of the armies that employ them. Therefore, the Nipponese ogre is a ninja!

I love the little gnoblar on the ninja ogre's base.

I heard rumors of a Samurai ogre? Do we get the ninja ogre instead?

Isn't he cute? :)

I'm not sure. I hope we do, 'cause that'd look nifty, but I suppose the ninja ogre is more amusing.

Well, to me it looks like the ogres are from arabia, lustria, tilea, empire, nippon and the female must be from norsca. Really cool models, and a great idea from GW, I say! :)

Which one do you think's from Lustria?

From what I can tell, working clockwise from the top left, there is one from Araby (obviously), a merchant (he's carrying treasure and his gnoblar has an abacus), one from the Empire (he's carrying the Hammer of Sigmar, stolen from a statue!), the female who is from nowhere in particular, the ninja from Nippon and another one from the Empire.

Well, yeah... Didnt see the Abacus.. But the style and gold just very much resembles lustrian metalworking. And the necklace he's wearing, looks very much like a lustrian trinket...
