I play a variant of DBM for the age of muskets 1740-1870 covering the 7 years war, Napolionics and American Civil war.
I have a SYW Russian army in 15mm painted up. 6mm are quite small but the formations on a table with the nuber of figures per stand look really good!

Both periods have great looking armies. I like the SYW stuff better. The grenadiers look awsome and the standard musket troops usually all wear the tricorn hat which looks cool trimmed out with lace.

I also think that Essex's makes some of the best looking figures for the period.
Old Glory also is a good souce only being slightly bigger than Essex figures but still mix and matchable but I think that both only do 15mm and 25mm.

6mm is quite off the beaten trail as to people using them.
