Title: Tome Of Knowledge - Peoples version
Description: Your Turn

Ok, I've decided to do something. You'll notice that the Tome Of Knowledge thread that's pinned has strunk, that's because people was asking more about their lists that advice of units etc.
So I spoke about this in the mods section, but never went any further. Till Now! So this is basically going to be a dwarven tactica made by you all, so what I want you to do is tell me YOUR uses/experience with a certain unit/character/war machie and after a while we'll move onto another and I'll make one big wad of info on each set etc (Though help from an experienced dwarven player wouldn't go a miss ;) )
All this will then but stuck up in the Tome Of Knowledge, here you'll be able to see a bunch of article written by players and you should get a better picture of how to use the army (being as not everyone plays the same way etc).
Thanks, and I hope we get a nice big set of information for all the members
Thanks, KU

Can I also post about slayer units????

If you have helpful thoughts on using them yes, tis what I made the post for. For any dwarven commanders to post their thoughts/tactics/combos to help new players and such.
If you just want advice on the slayers or anything just make a new thread
Thanks, KU

ok, nice
I would say take a goblin-hewer against skaven, put him on a hill, so the skaven player cant totally shield his units with skirmishers and go after the large units of clanrats and storvermin, that tactic served me well, but it is only good the first and second time you shoot, because about the third time you shoot, the units haven't got much ranks left so they cant be a problem in close combat and after that you can concentrate on his skirmisher with the rest of your missile fire. but i would say take it in a regular dwarf army so you can combine it with cannon, BT and ST.
EDIT:I've playtested it and it worked well, very well

I also like the hammer tactic in the back of the army book, only with the following exeptions:
1)I do take war machines, because if your enemy has a load of shooting, and you didn't knew he would do that, you can shoot his shooting guys into pieces with a cannon or two and its always handy to let your opponents unit shrink in size so you can outnumber them
2)Slayers, I never take slayers when using it, maybe they are handy for protecting your flank, but is you shoot al the untis down who are only trying to flank you, you just dont need them and you can spend the points on making the rest of your infantery regiments larger, and just because they arent that good and I like warriors or longbeards more :P
But be sure to always have a bsb when using the hammer, cause if you lose the combat you might flee, and if you flee, you are more than likely pursued of the table
If done this lots of times against almost every excisting opponent so it works well to me :D
Maybe it would be nice if you add a anvil of doom, but I never playtested that so I dont know ;)
