High Lord Axus, I use the OS X TK army builder you sent me all the time. An invaluable program, I keep it in my dock now. Great work.

basically it came about from the chaos one, go to the board announcements to see it. The advisors give you advice, that is the text, each advisor. Each advisor will have different views about the army units. So if you want to create a cavalry army then you choose the cavalry advisor.

Anybody want to become an advisor? All you will need to do is write some stuff about each unit and your general attitude with the rest of the buttons (Grumpy, happy, arrogant etc).

Kingphesphestus, if you want to become an advisor, I can take stuff directly from the book of the dead topic, I will just need your attitude.

Im happy to be an advisor if you like, takeing the advice from book of the dead is fine by me, if you'd like more detailed advice let me know, As fro attitude please pm me with what exactly you mean.

For attidude there are two things that I can do

1) Point you to www.worldofchaos.co.uk and tell you to look at the 'gods' in the chaos army builder

2) Explain it

Basically the way you will put across points and so on, if you are arrogant I will put a touch of arrogance in it, a foolhardy general would be foolhardy etc.

Okay, the new version now has characters, fixes a problem with Tomb Swarms cost, and allows you to save your Legion, as ever, I would love feedback

It does not have anything new about the advisor yet or ability to edit/validate, sorry.

I am probably being pedantic here but maybe there could be updates to the program, rather than downloading the whole new program again. Is this possible?

Because I m on a slow connection, it takes about 10 minutes to download each time.

As you appear so open to suggestons, here's another one:

Maybe have drop down menus where you can choose units/magic items instead of scrolling through them one by one (Now we all know how annoying back and forward is on IE explore dont we?

I scrapped the menus that I used in Axus of Evil (The Chaos one) as they looked pathetic with the new colour scheme, I will however try to find a way to add your wish.

Here are some prelimirary ideas

Jumping 5 units at a time
Jumping to special,rare etc
Opening a new window to choose the unit from a list

And yes, I am very open to ideas, that is how mine shall be the best army builder out there.

Ok then heres another one: :P

The main reason why and my friends use armybuilder (the official one) right now is to:

1) Create an army to a specific points limit, so the program calculates the points for you

2) Print out the army list so that it can be used in a battle- the inclusion of stats here is vital as more often than not the army books or codexes are discarded in the bookshelf until there is some rule query

3) Examine the stats/points of other armies

4) Create a edited out text version of the army list for post on the internet

While your army "creating program" B) addresses point 1, 4 (dont worry about point 3 at the moment, i'm not that cruel to you), the failure to include stats in the printout has left me to only use your program for online purposes only in terms of posting. Any chance of including them in somehow, like on some type of spread sheet

Also another suggestion: maybe intergrate a probability/combat simulator program into your builder to test units.

Okay, I will make it so that it prints the stats too (I am too kind) However when I get contacted by GW saying no (make that IF) I will have to change it.

A combat simiulator, hmm might have a go at that, currently I plan to continue my programs for our allies in SoC as a gesture of good faith and why they should ally with the Tomb Kings

Whan you say intergrate other armies into it, i assume it is in the same program (load the files like AB?), or else as seperates?

No no, I think that more critisism is useful, if I cannot do something I say why

1) Yes send me the app, my email is the same as my MSN

2) Yes I still want advisors, unless you get to me fast you will not be included in the update (tonight some time I hope)

3) Other armies are for other apps

The latest version of the TK LC is being uploaded at the moment, it is only a little smaller, but everything counts.

The edit unit should be fixed
You can now see the entire unit name
Fixed a typo in the advice of dear old Plasmapuff

i have not had any cause to update it a lot, there was apparantly still a problem with the edit button, i either fixed it and forgot or people are not using the latest version.

Probably the first, I will upload the newest version today

no offence but your army legion creator has a virus... my virus scan detected it when i downloaded it...

No it doesn't, there is something about the way that the Mac compresses files that makes some virus scanners think that it is infected. Nobody who has actually used it has ever had a problem with it.

its the none mac one that has the virus... i downloaded it a few time but all got virus...
