moonpupy - April 17, 2004 10:27 AM (GMT)
WELL???

Vriishnak the Twisted - April 17, 2004 05:03 PM (GMT)
This has come up repeatedly, and each time it's been voted down. The site is Warhammer Palace, and LOTR is not warhammer. So no.

Prince Cal - April 17, 2004 06:09 PM (GMT)
I do not care, and tombguard has voiced his opinion, so this is a none starter

Chgopainter04 - April 22, 2004 12:45 AM (GMT)
Well I for one enjoy the LOTR game and I would love to see a forum for threads here.

Vriishnak the Twisted - April 22, 2004 01:25 AM (GMT)
The thing is, there's no reason you can't post your threads here, in the other games section.

Not only is there not enough demand for a LOTR section to be worth it, this isn't a LOTR site.

Kroq-Gar - April 24, 2004 01:18 AM (GMT)
yes but the problem is this in the Poll done by Tombguard the NO won by 1 vote that means that half the people here wants this LOTR section...and that's enough i think to add it...i think even if 1/3 of the person were for the LOTR section they must be heard because this is a consistent portion and surely that means that there are more people playing LOTR than 40k...but 40k has got a big section and LOTR nothing...consistent minorities have to be heard...after all this change will take away nothing from other people..so what's the problem in making this section?

mumba_jumba - April 24, 2004 04:06 PM (GMT)
i am so sick of LOTR (as any of you who know me know, im a contrarian) and i hate everything mainsteam, rap, orlando bloom   , Lotr ect.

it's kind of a a round about way of saying it but i voted no.

Vriishnak the Twisted - April 24, 2004 07:18 PM (GMT)
The one thing that stands out to me, and I've already pointed it out here, is that this is Warhammer Palace. Not GW Palace, not Wargaming Palace, Warhammer.

LOTR is not a warhammer game, and the licensing prevents combining the two lines of miniatures. Why should this site have a LOTR section? Logically, the name would have to be changed, no?

Prince Cal - April 24, 2004 08:53 PM (GMT)
I do tend to agree as we can just post it in other games, but maybe we should have sections for the specialist games as like warmaster and epic are related to he major games systems

mumba_jumba - April 25, 2004 10:27 AM (GMT)
I think other games should be a category for other forums I'd display it as such
Other games (title)

Warhammer world games
40k world games
others

Chgopainter04 - May 3, 2004 07:51 PM (GMT)
Well I agree. This is Warhammer Palace. I would love to see a section for all GW games but I take it that people are against it. I see no problem with starting threads in the other game section.

Prince Cal - May 4, 2004 05:44 PM (GMT)
I just feel it is not really pure games workshop

Elven_Warrior - May 9, 2004 04:48 AM (GMT)
hell yes high elves or lotr should have theyre own chatigory

Tombguard321 - May 10, 2004 10:05 AM (GMT)
Lotr now has it own section but only as a trial if it does well it would get kept.

Prince Cal - May 10, 2004 03:10 PM (GMT)
Fine as it has a category I will start posting in it. I play a high elven army.

Elven_Warrior - May 11, 2004 06:07 AM (GMT)
yes its been beaten down unfairly lotr is the cheapest warhammer you can buy its easy to play easy to paint the best in my opinion too bad i didnt get here sooner to vote

King Ulrik Flamebeard - May 11, 2004 10:52 AM (GMT)
I'd just like to point out tha LOTR isn't warhammer, it's completely different. Even though GW makes the models they actually don't own the rights for the games, that goes to New Line Cinema.

It seems very easy to play, and to me seems a lot like warhammer skirmish, or border patrol.

Prince Cal - May 11, 2004 04:29 PM (GMT)
Easy to play and paint. No conversions is a big rpoblem. I play it but prefer 40k and fantasy.

Elven_Warrior - May 13, 2004 06:18 AM (GMT)
prince you insult me and fellow lotr players i was frced into lotr its the cheapest ironic seeing i collect one of the most expensive armies its a hobby its fun its relitivly simple so we need it

Rob - May 13, 2004 06:27 AM (GMT)
I despise LOTR *Shudder*. Its not Warhammer and it doesnt belong here as much as a monopoly or chess category would!

Elven_Warrior - May 13, 2004 06:29 AM (GMT)
IT IS WARHAMMER! ITS THE SAME THING you have bases movement phaze its the same thing or are you braindead?

Play nice, next time i will not be soo kind. Friendly advice

Rob - May 13, 2004 06:31 AM (GMT)
It is not Warhammer  The only similarity is Games workshop make it! I hate it when n00bs go "Oooh do you collect warhammer? I collect lord of the rings warhammer!" Its not warhammer. Does it say warhammer on the box? The models are different proportions! The bases are different shapes. The rules are different. The stats are different. The armies are different. Aghhhh

Elven_Warrior - May 13, 2004 06:38 AM (GMT)
SO WHAT ITS GOT MOVEMENT PHAZE SHOOT PHAZE FIGHT PHAZE ITS APART OF IT ITS BETTER THAN WHATEVER YOU COLLECT!

Again people are allowed there own opinion and your going against this, stop it.

Rob - May 13, 2004 06:42 AM (GMT)
Thats a matter of opinion. LOTR isnt Warhammer. If it was warhammer then why doesnt it have warhammer on the box? Its just another war game made by Games workshop.

Elven_Warrior - May 13, 2004 06:45 AM (GMT)
tyranids have round bases why not us it dosnt say warhammer why should it its models you paint its exactly the same or else other companies would make it

Rob - May 13, 2004 06:48 AM (GMT)
Right. Think about Boots Chemist. They make more than one product dont they? They are 1 company! Companies can make more than one thing and it doesnt mean its the same. And there are other war games around which you can paint the models! Does that make them warhammer? I dont think so.

F’lar of the Shadowborn - May 13, 2004 09:16 AM (GMT)
Come now children lets not fight, it's only a game...

@Elven Warrior I'd edit that last thing you said, if I were you, before a mod sees it cause it's called flamming.

Anyway, wether it's Warhammer or not, it's here so if you dislike it, ignore it, maybe it'll go away ;) .

Tombguard321 - May 13, 2004 09:57 AM (GMT)
Elven warrior, This is a friendly warning please stop it at once.

Now for my own opinion towards this whether or not you like Lotr, then fair enough people are allowed their opinions but when it gets to this point people tend to voice themselves to much and that is not allowed.

So lets get this Warhammer, 40k and Lotrs all get sold in one average store, meaning its a product of GW however each have there own name and sometimes people term them as this.

Warhammer Fantasy
Warhammer 40k
Warhammer: Lord of the rings

Though each have Warhammer stated on them it doesn't mean they are actually warhammer only products.

Elven_Warrior - May 14, 2004 06:05 AM (GMT)
i apolagise for that but i was just really annoyed ill just go with tombguards opinion he lured me into that insult anyway why dont he get some blame?

Prince Cal - May 14, 2004 03:12 PM (GMT)
QUOTE (Elven_Warrior @ May 13 2004, 01:18 AM)
prince you insult me and fellow lotr players i was frced into lotr its the cheapest ironic seeing i collect one of the most expensive armies its a hobby its fun its relitivly simple so we need it

How do I insult you. I was pointing out the wider opinion. I play it but maybe I take pleasure in the game I play I do not go for somthing beacause it is cheap. I go for it because I like it.
Also this is a nice and friendly point from me:
Accept this is a warhammer forum and enjoy it. No need to try and get it turned into a lord of the ring forum. Do not flame as it allows you to get along with members. Also please spell properly, it is stupid and annoying if you make no effort at all.
