Does anyone find any of the Dogs of War useful? I'm in a border princes campaign, and captured aldium, so i'm allowed an extra rare... So I was thinking of fielding a hellblaster, and either a group of flagellants, or maybe a Dogs of War unit, but i've never really looked at any.

So, anyone have a suggestion?

Pikemen are useful they can atack in four ranks so make sure they don't get charged in the rear or side and you get a great close combat unit.

I do not really like Dogs of War, I do not find them very efficient for the points. But they are a great addition to the army to add some fluff or extra color.

i like DoW, but out of those choices. Go for the flaggelents.

I fanything you should go for pikemen or ogres as they are so hard and will alllow you a lot of flexibility. But I would recommend that you add the points elsewhere so to have more numbers as they are expensive

I'd have normal Ogres, not Golg######s, were I to have anything.

Personally, I have halflings, a hot pot and will be adding some pikemen to my army soon (If I can get some cheap plastic guys to convert into them), as they all add character to my Averland army.

This may be about adding DoW to Empire armies, but shall we extend it to other armies as well? I'll move this to the DoW section for a needed kick.

I personally hate DoW. I refuse to have them alongside my Elves. They just aren't up to the standard of the old races.

*raises left eyebrow* :huh: This is a no-brainer. Forget the Hellblaster + unit. Take the STEAM TANK!!! :lol:

i have not ever used DoW but would like to in the future,
i love them but they can eisily ruin a armies atmosphere, like dwarfs with the mercenary ogres or high elves with the bearmen it makes no seince.
But when feilded as the whole army they are da bomb
