I've been studying the rulebook and other army books (notably Hordes of Chaos) and found a little link between the four powers of Chaos and the eight winds of magic. Some of these are guesswork so feel free to add some corrections.

Winds of Tzeench: Wind of Fire
Wind of Change (Metal)
Winds of Slaanesh: The Serpent Wind (Light)
The Shadow Wind
Winds of Nurgle: The Wild Wind (Beasts)
The Celestial Wind (Heavens)
Winds of Khorne: Wind of Life
Wind of Death

Erm... The Chaos Gods have their own magic, and those lesser lores are derived from pure Chaos anyway. And Khornate magic lores? Come on... :P

The lores of magic are all derived from chaos, yes. But the gods of Chaos are also derived from the four aspects of Chaos. each wind is part of Chaos' energy. therefore each wind would have it's respective power associated with it.

Ok but I have to agree with Squiggoth that Khorne could not and should not have a lore of magic deriving from him!

I am not saying that Khorne is using the lores of magic, just that because he is part of Chaos, and the winds of magic are Chaos streams in the real world, those aspects of chaos are derived from Khornes power. -_-

I would venture to say that the power of chaos that streams forth from the warp-gates is undivided in nature. It's an agglemation of all the different gods, and you can't really nit-pick over which god fules what wind. Because i can see arguements for different lores associated with different gods.

Alright, i concede. The argument against this pretty universal. Vilicate again corrects me. I suppose the idea of Khorne was kind of dodgy. looks like i was outspoken :mellow:

I don't think I corrected you. I'm not really sure on the matter myself. I was just putting forth what I thought. The idea is a good one, even though I'd attribute Khorne to the Lore of Beasts.
