ok i just got a new powerbook ... and im new to the mac scene so i dont know exactly what model it is...but its the little white one.
i was trying to work on an important essay and i needed to use a question mark...i tried for hours to get it to make one..but all i got was the "e" or "E" with an accent over top of it...(i know i must sound dumb or something but i really need help)
so if any of you on here know how to make a question mark show up on the word or apple works or whatever..that would be great! thank you!

Hi -- Welcome to the forum.

I have an iBook and the question mark is just to the left of the shift key on the right hand side of the keyboard. Does your question mark key make an e? ÷÷??µ˜??ç??åß?ƒ©???¬…æ«‘“?øˆ¨¥†®´®´?œ÷¿¿¿¿¿¿¿. If you hold down the option key you can make foreign symbols like the ones to the left and if you press shift+option you can make an upside down question mark. Maybe your key got taken off and put back in the wrong place. It's there on the right side of the keyboard- second row up, just to the left of shift.

Here, copy and paste this one; ?

Also, make sure you are on the right keyboard. There should be a little flag in the finder. The flag represents what language of keyboard you have.

Yea i know thats where it is...beside the shift key and all..but when i hold shift and push it, all i get is an "E" with an accent over it...and when im not holding shift and i push it all i get is an "e" with an accent over it...The same thing is happening with all my square bracket keys...i push them and i get some other special characters, but never the actual square bracket (the key that i pushed!!!)

errrr!!!!...Oh and yes i have my keyboard set up as canadian
so unless canada has changed their language for question marks to look like e's then im in somewhat of a predicament!
thanks for the help guys
