I have just recieved my new iBook (900 mhz, 40gb Combo) and am having problems with the region setting function. With the previous iBook, which opearted OS9, you could actually change the number of times that the regions could be changed, ie after each change you could reset the number to 5 again. I have not been able to find this anywhere in OSX. Has this been removed or am I missing something?

Do you come from New Zealand? If so, I do to!

PS (to others), Kia ora is Maori for Hello.

Welcome to the forum!!!

As far as I know you can't, you only get the 5, but there is a work around, you disable the Apple DVD player's auto play, then you use separate 3rd party DVD software, like VLC that can play DVDs as MPEG-2 files that they actually are, not only that but it can open several other formats like .wmv that actually look halfway decent, unlike WM player.
