Title: Spyware on my Mac?
tiasuda - October 8, 2003 02:40 PM (GMT)
Hello,
I suspect that the company I work for has installed spyware on our machines to check if we are surfing the net during worktime. Is there a software out there that would allow me to know it?
Or how can I protect my surfing by making it anonymous?
Thanks a lot !
Tia

Welcome to the forum!!!
If I recall, thats a illegal, as it classifies as hacking. You should be able to see it via Process Viewer: HD>Applications>Utilities>Process Viewer or via the terminal(Cool! Geeky UNIX code!) HD>Applications>Utilities>Terminal by typing top at the prompt, handy if you've got a Mac at home with the kids, and your trying to monitor how long they've been on it type uptime it works best if each user has a separate user login.

Duo,
I'm not exactly sure that this person is using Mac OS X.

Thanks for the answer :)
But as said by Sysop I am using OS8.6! Any way I can do your check with it?
By the way, I am using a computer on a company network with firewall. Any chances that something might be hiding elsewhere?
Thank you again,
Tia
