[finder] Hi,
I have installed Mac OS X on a PowerMac G3, everything is seemingly ok except that I am unable to get an IP. The set up here is a Windows 2000 Server with a DHCP server. The Mac is connected to a router which serves this LAN. In the Network Preferences I have set up Configuration to Auto, the next box choice is: DHCP, on the TCPIP tab, Configured via DHCP, and I left the rest blank.
Now, I sucessfully did a loopback ping on my NW card to test it. Also, this computer - before it was formated - was successfully connected to this same LAN before, so I know that the problem lays in the area of config and my lack of knowledge with Mac.
Please let me know if you need more info from me on this.
Cheers!! [idisk]
