Hi
I am new to the forum and a new mac user. I am certianly glad to find the mac forum.
I have a question about viewing PDF documents in Preview. I need to know if there is a way to search the document for a specific word, like alt f on a windows machine.
Thanks
Welcome to the Mac Forum!
I'll check but I don't think there is in preview at least. But your Mac should also have come with Adobe Acrobat Reader, use apple+f to search the document.
Thanks for the info Duo, I prefer to use acrobat anyway. I didn't realize that I had it allready.
A good tip: In the finder, locate a PDF, highlight it then use apple+i to bring up the get info window for that file, under the open with tab select the app you want it to open in then select change all, now all PDFs will open in that app.
NOTE: This also makes screen shots open in that app since Apple changed the format that it uses to PDF in the 10.2 install, in 10.1 it used to be .jpg.
