Title: [G]IDVD won't burn...help!
Description: no disc found, won't burn project
Droober5555 - September 3, 2003 07:48 PM (GMT)
I'm having problems burning my project. It asks for insertion of blank DVD. But once I put one in, a message comes up saying, "no disc was found in the drive. Please insert a blank DVD-R disc." I don't know what to do from this point. Please help.

This may seem obvious, but try a different disc. Shut down the computer and start all over with the burn. I know this helps sometimes when for some unearthly reason my machine won't burn a CD. Welcome to the forum and good luck!!

I had a similar problem a while back when I got the iBook back from repair, it wouldn't burn disk no matter what I used but then I updated the system to 10.2.6 and all was fixed, try updating everything if you haven't.

what kind of mac are you on? i think there might be a firmware update on superdrives for the imac and some powerbooks try looking for those updates.

Thats a good point, I remember now how they were saying, "All those with Superdrives, Important Update!"
