Title: [S]View New Posts

alarson2 - August 1, 2003 08:09 PM (GMT)
I am wondering if I am doing something wrong here. When I first log into Mac Forum I click on View New Posts. But almost everytime I do, I am directed to a page that says that the menu is disabled. How does one find the new posts without going thru the entire list and trying to spot categories that may have changed?

It could be also that there were no new posts since the last time I visited but usually in the helper lounge I can see that there are new posts. What do you do? What is the correct procedure for really keeping up to date with all new posts?

Is this the error message?

Sorry, but we did not find any matches to display. Try again and broaden your search criteria. If you were searching for new posts since your last visit, it's possible that there are none to show.

A screen shot of the page I am directed to:

here

I wasn't saying that there was something wrong with the forum or the host I was just asking what you do when you first sign on?--what do you click on to see the newest posts?

I have been trying to use the Assistant too and it seems to be pretty handy. It dosen't look like it is all the way accurate though. When I open it it always says that there are no new posts.

Maybe I have to refresh the page or clear the cache to get a line of communication going.

Its a problem with the search system, thats what it uses, I think its due to the several recent upgrades, since it happens every invision board I goto.

Yeah, IF is working on the search, now that I think about it, that's the problem.
