Title: Those Cute Little Links

alarson2 - July 16, 2003 03:06 AM (GMT)
how do you guys make those clickable links that you use all the time? I'd love to know how to do that. Like on Duo's post about the dragonballz bedding there is the word "here" and the here takes you to the google search page. Is that complicated?

NO, it is NOT complicated!!!
1. Click the button that says "http://". It's below the Bold button and the Italics buttons. It's next to the IMG button.
2. Enter the URL.
3. Enter the word that you want the person to click on. (This, here, click me, etc.)
4. Click OK, and your done. You have this big tag thing in your post, DON'T delete it. Hit Post message & the link will work. Duo or James will show you the hard way of doing this, I have to go right now.

The "hard" way, this only works where HTML coding is allowed.

(a href=http://www.google.com/mac)here(/a)

just replace "(" and ")" with "<" ">".

where "here" is the word(s) you want it to be and "/a" is where you want it to stop, or it wont stop going till it runs out of text, I think the Sysop has removed the ablity to use HTML or I'd show you all kinds of effects.

Its not as hard to do the cool stuff as it looks. Try searching here for TONS of HTML stuff, if you go to more recent stuff (or just search for HTML Duo Maxwell1) you'll see some very cool stuff that was only very recently discovered to work on those boards that me and Shadowlord practiced.

Off to see if I can still use HTML in my sig. [iBook] [SWupdate]

I think HTML is enabled in signatures. If it's not, PM me.
