[safari] Dude, Microsoft hasn't had a original idea since they stole one from Apple. They've never innovated a single thing.

Yeah, but this one should bring many new switchers, it will disable most file copying, even for legit uses. That should **** off more than a few million users.

Let me ask you something here. Why do we want "Switchers?" The way it is now is just right for Mac folks. Only 3-5% of the computer users in the world use Mac. What virus writing hacker in his right mind would want to mess up only 3-5% of the world's computers? I think that we should try to keep it a SECRET instead of inviting the rest of the crazy world into our private party. Just let them muddle through the microsoft mush and live in their Windows environment oblivious to the joy and gratification known only to 3-5% of the worlds geeks.
Apple dosen't really need more business because Microsoft is not going to let them go under. They need the competition to keep from being a monopoly.

Please do not encourage anyone other than possibly very special loved ones to come to the Mac table and partake of the feast. Just let them eat cake. They do not need to know about this Mac stuff. It's our secret.

Good point. But Macs are so much easier. Plus, if we encourage people to switch, we make their life easier. PLUS, You're right. Most people use windows. If everyone used a mac, there would be almost no need for tech support. Now, I'm not saying macs are perfect, but they're pretty close.....
Please Note:
Any posts that force users to switch will be locked.

The Sysop.

Yeah but most windows viri are caused by bugs in the crappy programming(if you can call it that) most pro hackers use Linux, Unix and the other non main stream OSes that the big companys and governments use.

The stuff you all talk about is tru - but I have only just switched from using windows pcs' which i had used for atleast 14 years. I switched at the beginning of this year and I have noticed how much easier it is to use. But still, I don't do this as a profession or anything, but once I had mastered the OS X, I got straight into making my own scripts, programs and as you guys mentioned before; virii. It is just as easy (if not easier - since it is Unix based) to create virii as it is on a Windows, Linux, Unix or any type of those OS's you can think of. All you need to know is Binary codes and how to play round with Kernels.

So no matter where you look there will always be a form of hacker, infact most of my buddies i know ( who happen to hack) use mac, you cannot blame microsoft for that kind of hoo-hah (in fact it was hackers that got me to switch - lol ), even if mac are a greater breed of machine.

This is true. The way I look at it is, the smart ones will figure it out and switch... this is good. The dumb ones think they have the greatest $499 machine on the planet and think we are morons.... they are the ones we DON'T want.
Let them drown in their own sea of $9.95 games and "dynamic video ram".
I gave up arquing with PC'ers a long time ago.

One favorite story of mine is this...
I have a bud who is a systems admin for a ton of PC's. I use to pick on him all the time. Nothing serious, just buds kidding each other. (BTW, he HATES Microsoft!)
Then, in the middle of the work day, I got an email from him (apparently while having a bad day). It simply said...

"Mac users suck... because they're right!"
