Anyone else like this show?
I do.. the writing is great, and the animation is awesome... that suports the humorous writing. The characters designs kick some ass too.

Bloo's gotta be my favorite..

Kirbopher15 - September 1, 2004 11:48 PM (GMT)
This show was actually a lot better tha I thought. I think my favorite characters are Edwardo (SPANISH DEMOOOOON!!! XD) and Franky (why 'd they give her a guy's name!? >_<) and I sadly missed last's weeks' episode with the SECRET DOOR SECRET DOOR SECRET DOOOOOOOR...

flamegirl - September 1, 2004 11:49 PM (GMT)
to be honest, this show isnt that bad

Kenji the Fox - September 1, 2004 11:50 PM (GMT)
Bloo is tight, man! Mack is cool too. And Frankie, and Eduardo, and Wilt. And the bunny guy.

The animations are the joint-joint as well.

Lexum - September 1, 2004 11:56 PM (GMT)
Yay!! [/sarcasm]

I'm so glad to know I'm not the ONLY one... w00ters!

flamegirl - September 1, 2004 11:56 PM (GMT)
ive only seen it once though

Kenji the Fox - September 1, 2004 11:58 PM (GMT)
I try to see it whenever I can.

Aethos - September 2, 2004 02:43 AM (GMT)
Heh to me it's the GREATEST show on Fridays... or heck the greatest show on Cartoon Network right now!

There's nothing I really hate about the show. The plots are well thought out, the comedy is good, plus there are a lot of great characters. My favorite character being Frankie just because she's awesome and such.

God, you all sound like a bunch of 10 year old kids.

While I admit the show is excellent for a children's show, it's kind of the point why I don't like it.

IT'S A KIDDIE SHOW.
You guys(If you registered honestly) should be watching Adult Swim, or another channel's version of it, or at least complaining your parent's wont let you watch it. While I'll admit Teen Titans is cool, that's because in the comic book, PEOPLE DIED. That and there was actual swearing, that and I like superhero shows. HOWEVER, that is one of the few shows I can sit through on normal daytime CN, yes I can sit through FHFIF, however. It's still kiddie, and just because I can sit through it doesn't mean it's stuff I'd wanna watch. </Balant rant more about the fact that teenagers are going "WHOMAG JAWESOME!" to a little kid's show than about the actual show itself.>

So it's WRONG for people above the age of 10 to like shows other than Adult Swim?

So yeah I admit it. I'm 20 years old and I LIKE FHFIF is that wrong? I think it's original and better than most shows on Adult Swim. (aka Family Guy, ATHF, Home Movies.) and I find that there's nothing wrong with that at all.

People just have different tastes that all. Sure FHFIF would be considered "Kiddie" but there are people my age who like Fairy OddParents and Danny Phantom too. I happen to be one of those people so does that make me immature or something for watching shows without heavy violence, some cussing, and innuendo?

What I look for in a cartoon is NOT how much blood is shown on screen, how much cussing there is, and definately not how much fanservice there is. What I look for is how well the cartoon is done in terms of story, characters, and most importantly how the cartoon flows throughout each episode. This is why in my opinion the old Dexter lab cartoons are better than the new ones, why I never liked Courage the Cowardly Dog, and why I never liked future seasons of The Simpsons.

Now I admit that more "Adult shows" like Futurama and Sealab have some good moments. Heck they're probably my two most favorite non-anime shows on Adult Swim but they're not the beat all to end all. I'm pretty diverse in my cartoon watching and I'll enjoy anything that holds my interest. If that makes me kiddy then go ahead and say that because it doesn't bother me.

*sigh* Sorry about that I just get pretty angry when people claim that anything but Adult Swim is kiddy. It's like they're saying that people my age aren't allowed to like anything that isn't TV-MA or something. It also reminds me of when all those OoT fans said the Wind Waker was kiddy because it wasn't 3-D and angsty, and yet that turned out to be one of the best Zelda games ever made.

Cartoons are NOT just made for kids. That's just a stereotype in today's world. Heck to be honest any cartoon is enjoyable. I remember times when I'll turn on the TV and see an old episode of DuckTales, Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers, or Darkwing Duck and I'll say "Hey I remember this show!" I'll sit down, watch it, and enjoy it because even now when I'm considered too old to like cartoons I still enjoy many of the cartoons I saw as a kid and none of them were ever "uber mature" like every one seems to expect in cartoons nowadays.

It's good that you liked the show and all but dismissing it because you think it's kiddy isn't a really fair reason to not like a show

But then again hey that's just my opinion >.>

Urutapu - September 2, 2004 04:57 AM (GMT)
I have no shame, Cyclone. :D

*watches it all teh time* >>

Iota - September 2, 2004 05:01 AM (GMT)
Oy, FOP, and Danny Phantom rule. Meh, I think FHFIF is ok, but I don't think that watching cartoons automatically classifys you as immature. Hell, I love Family Guy, ATHF and Futurama, but I'm not about to stop watching some of the shows I love just because someone will call me immature.

Like what Aethos said, I look for how it's written, the jokes, the storyline and such.

(FOP and Danny Phantom are some of my favorite shows on T.V. today!)

Lexum - September 2, 2004 02:34 PM (GMT)
WOW.. that was odd... I didn't expect this to turn into a debate... however... I think that Aethos is 100% accurate... I agree with everything he said.. including the shows he listed.

I despise Sealab and ATHF... the jokes are just plain stupid... I'm 19 and I like revisiting old shows like Darkwing Duck, Chip and Dale, and whatnot. Danny Phantom is a great show, and Yes.. I do watch Kim Possible.. MWAH HA HA!!! The Weekenders too... yay for Tino's Mom... (she's evil)

Most of this may surprise most of you.. but I really don't give a damn what you think of me, I watch plenty of shows that my roomate's all "Dude.. you watch that show?" I watch Digimon too... but the 3rd and 4th season sucked... bah!!

AND!!! I like sonic too (duh...) I've voiced my opinion on here many times.. that's what the forum's for.. not for flaming, as is obvious.

I've also noticed that a lot of the people on this forum are either sixteen or younger.. and that's the audience for Adult Swim.. "These shows are not intended for those under the age of fourteen" meaning that that's the age group their aiming for.

There are shows some shows on Adult Swim that I won't even bother watching... Harvey Birdman is just as jouvenille...

The Venture Brothers is borderline... I watch it rarely.... The Brak Show went down hill quickly.. and The Family Guy is also borderline.

I want my old Toonami back... before the 8 episodes of DBZ... when it was the shows that CN probably wouldn't go back to... but a few of them on now I like.. i.e. Card Captor Sukura, Ronin Warriors, Outlaw Star, Cowboy Bebop, Inuyasha, Gundam Wing, Gundam 08th MS Team, Duel Masters, Megas XLR, Teen Titans, Tenchi Muyo (and Universe), and Justice League Unlimited. I'm sure I've missed some...

But yeah.. I guess I went off... but oh well.. time to get back to my school work

I AM a 10 year old kid.

But its cool .

Hmm... Not living in America, I don't have this show, or Adult Swim, but I gotta say, when I went on holiday there, I watched both CN and Adult Swim (which has alot of shows that Uk's Toonami channel does not). FHFIF is good, and so is some of the shows I watched on Adult Swim for the first time. But, I don't prefer either. I'd rather sit down and watch Cartoon Network for a whole day than watch some channel with shows on that aren't 'kiddie' as it has been put, but are crap. To tell you the truth, there are things with plotlines a helluva llot worse than CN, which is why I don't care it's 'kiddie'. At least it's better than The Weakest Link with that b**** Anne Robinson on BBC 2 (or used to).

That's because Adult swim is for, well adults. Also, America has Toonami.

This is the most original idea for a show I have ever seen this year. Who knew a small idea like that could become a show... But every time I see Bloo, I keep thinking of Pacman. Also, did anyone know the granddaughter of Mrs Foster is the same voice who does Vicky in Fairy Odd Parents?

flamegirl - September 6, 2004 04:08 PM (GMT)
i noticed that. i thought it was Vicky, but i wasnt sure

FinalHazard - September 6, 2004 04:10 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I noticed the similarities in the voice. But Frances sounds calmer and less on-edge than Ms. Babysitter-From-Hades.

And yes, I watch the show. I like it too. Pretty good for a new cartoon.

AkumaTh - September 7, 2004 07:43 PM (GMT)
Here's proof. Wow, she done alot...

Iota - September 11, 2004 08:02 PM (GMT)
... The same person who does Vicky does Tootie? And Sam in Danny Phantom!? Weird, Vicky and Sam sound really different...

Lexum - September 12, 2004 03:51 PM (GMT)
Ever heard of a voice actress named Jennifer Hale... damn.. she's done a lot.

The computer voice for KND.
Numbuh 86 for KND.
Emma Emmerich in MGS2: Sons of Liberty.
Electra for The Cowboy Bebop Movie.
Billy's Mom on The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy.
Princess Warbucks, Ms. Keene, Sedusa, and other voices for The Powerpuff Girls.
Jessie in The Real Adventures of Johnny Quest.
Mallory Mallard on The Mighty Ducks series.
Lydia in Sonic Underground.

Among a crap load of more...

I just thought she should deserve some credit here... since were on the subject... even thought it IS off subject... eh... oh well.

... and to quote Bloo from Friday's episode:
"Fingie, Lickie goooood."

Gordo - September 12, 2004 04:02 PM (GMT)
Weekenders rule. Lor's best. Tino's mom is just your ordinary mother, even if you can't realise it. The normal mom's usual abilities are just made an everyday thing for Mrs. Tonitini.

Foster's Home is awesome. I thought it would have been really babyish, just like I thought PPG would. But I guess they're aimed for anyone who understands this stuff.
EDIT: Sam in Danny Phantom's voice is the same as Lor's. Took me forever to figure out where I heard it!

Aethos - September 18, 2004 10:35 PM (GMT)
I have to admit though that last night's episode had to be the best one yet. There were just so many funny and random moments.

Venom Orca - October 4, 2004 09:35 PM (GMT)
Fosters Home is a good show, mainly because of the writing talent there.
If I remember correctly its based on characters Craig McCracken had in his scetchbook and is loosly based on his childhood fantasies or what have you.
Why do you think the human boys name is Mac? "(Hint) Craig McCracken --Mac".

Anyways, I watch a lot of animated programs, childrens stuff included, im not ashamed to admit it, and lets just say im way past a young adults age. Most of the animated stuff is better than the live action programs anyway. If the show is intelligent and well written, ill watch it. Although I do like mindless fun too. I cant tell you how many brain cells ive killed watching Beavis and Butthead, Sealab 2021 and that sort.

I like animated programs mostly for the humor value and the fantasy element, I guess I never really grew out of my childhood love for cartoons...which is good.

Fosters ranks up there with the best of them... =P

flamegirl - October 4, 2004 11:01 PM (GMT)
i thought this show would be really gay, but bloo is hilarious, and itz awesome
