Title: The Best James Bond
Description: Which actor best epitomizes 007?
Lord Saturos - August 4, 2004 06:07 PM (GMT)
I personally believe Sean Connery-time and time again-managed to perfectly execute the suave, collected mannerisms which made 007 an icon. Who do you think?
Could it be Sean Connery? Or perhaps the lesser-known George Lazenby? Maybe even Bond greenhorn Pierce Brosnan?
Dark Chaos - August 4, 2004 06:29 PM (GMT)
A tie between Connery and Brosnan. Brosnan's not bad, he's just a victim of bad writers.

Connery - Old school Bond. Cool cannot describe him.
Brosnan - Modern Bond. Made Bond both cool again and modern.
Dalton - Deadly serious, slightly psycho Bond. Took Bond in a new, interesting direction.
Moore - Bond which is slightly hard to take serious, but still cool.
Lazenby - Shitty Bond. 'Nuff said.

George Lazenby was the one in 'Her Mahesty's Secret Service', wasn't he?
That film was so flippin' boring. I swear, I fell asleep halfway through. I have never done taht with any other Bond movie.
Grand Master Eastwood - August 4, 2004 06:41 PM (GMT)
Aye, Lazenby was in OHMSS, which itself is a crappy Bond film anyway. But even so, everyone else became James Bond. he just tried to act like Sean Connery playing James Bond.

Sean Connery IS Bond.
Pierce Brosnan is very good in the role, pity the films after Goldeneye were rather crap.

Sean Connery, nobody can play a british m16 operative than the british man himself. Although Pierce Brosnan is a very...good and recognizable Bond.

Dude.
Connery is SCOTTISH.
I don't rate your chances if you called a Scot English...

Connery. Because Scots are badass. And he was the original.

I hate to correct you.. as I may just incur your wrath, but he said British...and last time i checked, Scotland was part of Great Britain, so he's right.

Lad, you try tell a Jock he's British.
I dare you.
I also bet you you'll come back with less teeth.
Lothar Hex - August 18, 2004 10:34 PM (GMT)
I've got a mate who is Scottish and he hates being called British.

........... you know, the 'new guy' is the guy who did Goldeneye. Perhaps you mean Goldfinger. :smek:
I dig Brosnan, but they didn't let him be mean enough, like he was in 'Tailor Of Panama' (which many people consider to be the best non-Bond Bond movie). I hope the next pick is good. Someone like Clive Owen.
