Title: Mercenary Code
Description: The rules governing this sub-forum

I've had to deal with people repeatedly being stupid and ignoring the rules in the Roleplaying For Keeps section, and coming here to do things they shouldn't. So, because some people are stupid, I'm going to post rules here. They shouldn't be needed, as it's common sense to read the main section's rules first. But apparently very few actually do that.

Rules:

The Mercenary Conclave is a recording forum ONLY.
You are required to have a thread in the Merc Conclave to record characters and story developments that occur in the main RP thread in the main Roleplaying For Keeps section. Spam RP's aren't required to have one, as they tend to be completely random, and aren't required to be coherient.

This means you do not RP here. Nor will I allow RP's to be set up in this section anymore, as the last few to try it that way decided to RP in here too.

Thread Owners must make the thread and update regularly.
When you start an RP, rally some support. Then record all the characters in the first post of the Merc Conclave archive thread. You should edit this list to show who's playing, and as whom, as often as necessary. Use the edit button to make the list longer and shorter. If a player quits or a character dies, then you can either remove the profile, or better, move it to a "Dead/Gone" section.

The second post should summarize the RP's background and history. It should outline the scenario.

As the RP's story moves along, the thread owner should post summaries of what has happened in the story since the last update. Don't edit the second post, just make a new response. This way, as long as the RP is actively updated, it will stay up on the Conclave. Editing will let it drop off the bottom, so it'd be harder to tell the dead RP's from the live ones.

NO RP'ING IN THE CONCLAVE. PERIOD.
The only person that should ever post on a Conclave thread is the person running the RP. Nobody should ever post a RP post on it, or attempt to recuit on it. IT IS AN ARCHIVE ONLY.

If the thread is in violation of the rules, I'll either fix it, or lock it. Don't tempt me to do either. Also, if I find a Merc Archive Thread that doesn't have a coresponding thread in the RP section, then I'll get unpleasent. Make sure the RP is started and moving before a thread is started here.
