Agh Crap! The already completely screwed up the plot of YGO (I know cuz I have the jap version) but then again 4kids did a decent job on Shaman King i suppose, and I don't even read One Piece so I wouldn't be able to tell any changes. However I did know right away that people would be upset about this.

Well, I saw the theme song in English about 3 weeks back. It's not TOO horrible. This is 4Kids' last chance to redeem itself. I love One Piece, and if 4Kids messes it up, I will be one VERY displeased robot monkey!

Well 4kids didn't do too much of a bad job on Shaman King, and that was a Shonen Jump too. We'll just have to wait and see.

Eh this is old news to me but...
Well as much as I don't like 4kids especially after what they did to Shaman King. I really don't mind One Piece getting picked up I'm reading the manga anyways and besides from what I heard they're going to use the actual opening and have very few edits. The only one I've heard about was Sanji's cigarette being replaced by a lollipop so it shouldn't be too bad.
Still I really don't mind... now if they picked up Naruto now THAT would be a disaster.

UC and I were talking about that earlier today. I can understand them gettin gshaman King and One Pices, but Naruto is a FREAKIN NINJA SHOW WITH TONS OF BLOOD!!! I hope that either FUNimation or...uh...that company that dubs shows like Kenshin, 009, Wolf's Rain ect.

But in any case I've heard that One Piece won't be as butchered as Shaman King was and thank goodness it won't end up as bad as Megaman NT Warrior did.
Plus they're going to use an english version of the real opening so it's not like the music is going to be changed and possibly no mentions of "The Shadow Realm" and what not so I'm sure One Piece will be a good dub considering.
