Title: Why does my wireless suck?

I don't know if this has been done to death or not (HOLY CRAP THE REAL RAY PENBAR IS BACK), but I'm having trouble with wireless and my DSi. Best part is I can't get a stupid Nintendo Wi-fi card, because apparently Nintendo hates its fanbase and discontinued the stupid thing. So this bodes really well for me.

My question is this: What's a cheap, reliable router that's also compatible with the Nintendo DSi? (I already checked their site, but some of the information they provide is questionable, given that they state outright that it's "probably" outdated.) I just want to accept the user agreement, go to the shop, and get my damn Mighty Flip Champs. And the 160 points for Club Nintendo would be pretty nice.

In return for your services, TFS, I won't kill any of you should I snap and go on a GTA-esque rampage.

Just a quick check: Is your router set to only allow certain MAC addresses access? My original router had that problem, I had to go in and register my DS's MAC address.

As well, if you're in a secure area, could turn off your password. I had a friend who could not get on the internet with her wireless, even though it signed it, due to their WEP key.

I don't personally have a router, which is why I'm looking to invest in one. The problem seems (seems being the operative word) to be my campus's wireless network having some kind of firewall that says, "Screw your DSi, son," which is why I'm looking into buying my own router to just solve the entire thing with blunt force.

What the hell is my router? *Looks it up.*

Netgear WPN824v2. Old model, but there's probably an equivalent of it. DS and Wii work fine on it.

Also, University networks fuck over DS because you need to open a web browser and confirm that you're a student before logging in as a guest. Not sure if it's the same with PSP, but the wireless networks definitely are the bane of most handheld and console connections.

Good point, Kevin. That'd slipped my mind several times, although I should have figured it when I was performing a network test earlier.
