Oh no, it couldn't be the THC. It couldn't be the fact that Marijuana is a drug that messes with the chemicals in your brain, messes up your ability and want to do work, it messes with your motor skills. It can cause memory loss, and not to mention hair loss. Don't forget the whole paranoia thing almost every long term pot smoker has. Oh, and maybe the whole, "MAN MY POT WAS LACED WITH SOMETHING," is a once in the blue moon thing, right? Lets be honest, Pot is a gateway drug, no it doesn't usually fuck you put on the first try, but it can. Now no, it is not always laced with something, and it doesn't always make people go to other drugs. However, when you know more than just a handful of people who go into much heavier stuff, and started on weed, it doesn't make it something that never happens now, does it?

Besides, it puts a dent in your pocket and makes you eat all your food, and you don't even feel better in a few days, let alone a week. Pot is like a loner friend, can make you have a fun time, but totally raids your fridge and borrows your cash whenever he can.

Okay, after talking with Venge a bit in IM, he is not particularly against Marijuana as much as idiotic pro-marijuana hurr-durrery. So I'm just going to say this:

Marijuana is not a gateway drug. There is no slippery-slope. There are fucktards with addictive personalities that pay monthly for world of warcraft and whatever other shitty fucking korean MMOs they can find just to have something to obsessively do all day. Now, drugs? Are another thing to do obsessively. There are two kinds of people who would escalate from marijuana: Idiotic thrill-seekers who just want to blow their brains out in any way they can think of (They've got short life expectancies with or without drugs) And the sheeple idiots with addictive personalities that just want something to do chronically without thought, who will move into the more and more addictive drugs simply to try them and burn all their cash.

Marijuana takes its toll on the body in short-term effects and minor long-term effects if you OVER-use it. Using marijuana regularly will obviously take its toll very rapidly. But if you use it sparingly, for the occasional thrill with friends, there's little harm in it. But, that said: Be accepting of people regardless of whether or not they prefer to be sober or not. Ganja stimulates a very friendly, creative and passive state of mind, right? Cultivate it with respect for others' desires, and everyone is satisfied.

I know plenty of peeps who be smokin' da reefa, mon. Don't do it myself, and don't plan to, but yeah.

I'm pretty sure a majority percentage of people who do it are complete idiots, but that has nothing to do with the drug itself.

Alright, so... spoken by someone who has smoked for over a year and did so on a weekly to semi-daily basis? Well.

Simply put... Marijuana is just like any other recreational thing out there. For some? It's a lifestyle. For others, it's a toy or activity.

Could the same not be said about watching TV? Some people make it the object of "relaxation" in their life, perhaps after work or just to do something. Others will go days or even weeks without so much as glancing at a TV for their own viewing pleasure.

In the case of pot? Some people will smoke it all day, every day. Others, such as myself? Will go weeks at a time without so much as thinking about it.

That's all it is my friends. A recreational thing that is turned in to an "addiction" by the same people who are obsessed with "Sex in the City" or "Everybody Loves Raymund."
