Boy, I sure can't wait for Final Fantasy MMDCLXVII!

It's a shame the Sony Conference was rather boring with the exception of the motion sensor controller shenanigans.

The lukewarm reception of FFXIII and FFXIV was hilarious though.

Only problem w/FFXIV so far is the following.

1) It'll probably be alot like FFXI.

2) PS3 Exclusive, for the fail.

3) When are they going to stop fucking making these games and MOVE ON?

1) I happen to find FFXI one of their nicer universes. I wouldn't mind them continuing in the same vein with it. Particularly since it's the only MMO (I know of) to their name.

2) It is also for the PC, my misguided friend. But who knows, maybe they're just saving up for whatever next gen console Microsoft has planned.

3) That's like asking when they're going to stop making Mario games.

Looking at the main people listed behind it's development, we've got the Producer of I, II, III and XI, the Director of IX and XI, along with the art director of Vagrant Story and FFXII. Sounds like a fucking good line up to me.

The nimrod in the conference said otherwise about what system it'd be available for, and I quote "It'll be exclusive on the Playstation 3", which lead to the preconception of no PC play.

Anything but fucking Nomura and it'll probably be awesome.

Fuck Nomura. Every single FF he's made has been utter shit. He should stick to Kingdom Hearts, because his fail isn't obvious due to being masked by Goofy shenanigans.

Too bad a shit-ton of people would try to crucify you for that statement, especially since we all know Final Fantasy VII is the greatest J-RPG, nay, THE GREATEST RPG EVER.

As for FFXIV, can see where FFXI being a good community comes in(Certainly better than WoW w/its LOLHORDE and LOLALLIANCE circlejerking between each other), but the system was so slow for leveling and having to go through fifty menus(Huzzah for exaggeration) to use spells was blargh.

The upside to FFXI though as an MMORPG was how it allowed you to do whatever you wanted, whenever you wanted. Like, you could be WHM one minute and WAR the next.

Also, Nomura's designs get boring after a while, since he seems to have some kind of strange fetish with leather, belts, and zippers.

Maybe he could create an entirely new character who has the ability to generate belts from their body to swing through the city like some leathery Spider-Man.
