Title: WWE Thread
Iota - February 10, 2009 07:17 AM (GMT)
Bill nuked the last 1000+ page thread in a fit of... well, he just sent me this picture:

Interpret that how you will.
So here's the new thread. Shit, I need to feign current knowledge to start the thread...
SO, HOW ABOUT THAT CHRISTOPHER JERICHO? I HEAR HE'S QUITE THE LAD. SAY, IS JONATHAN CENA OUT OF THE FUCKING COMPANY YET?
Joe The Hedgehog - February 10, 2009 07:41 PM (GMT)
There ya go.
Might aswell start this off then.
First, an update on Jericho's situation:
He won't be 'buried' or 'punished' for what happened during the weekend as WWE said it was self-defense. There's also been a few stories to suggest this was actually all a work to build Jericho's 'heel' character. Take that for what it's worth.
And there was also a very... interesting interview with Paul London recently.
| QUOTE (Highlights from Paul London's Interview) |
False Count Radio interview with Paul London. Hosted by "Pacific Coast Player" JT Evans, "The Albert Einstein of Pro Wrestling" Alex K, and "The Juicin" Jobber. To hear the full interview go to http://www.falsecountradio.com or click the download link above.
False Count Radio was privileged to host Paul London's first post WWE interview and he wasn't afraid of speaking what he had in mind. Here are some of the highlights of this near two hour interview:
-When asked if he was shocked about his WWE release, London immediately said "No", but was shocked that they were still paying him.
-London said that he never liked Billy Kidman as a person, but admired his work in WCW "when he was 100 lbs. lighter". He also said that Kidman "threw him under the bus".
-"The Albert Einstein of Pro Wrestling" Alex asked London how it was working with the Dudleyz, in which London stated that D-Von was great to work with, but that Bubba was an "asshole".
-A caller asks him what he thinks of Evan Bourne using the shooting star press, to which London replies that "it's ridiculous" and gives a funny story why he thinks that.
-Caller A.G. Vito asks what the reasoning was for him smiling on the day Mr. McMahon "died", where London discusses how hard it was not to laugh at the whole thing.
-London says that Rob Van Dam would be his dream opponent, as he not only idolizes the wrestler, but also the person.
-Calls Matt Hardy a "piece of shit" and a "coward".
-Says his favorite match ever was against Jeff Hardy at a house show in Mexico That Was Never Seen.
-Juicin Jobber asks if London plans on training wrestlers, to which London said he would like to in the future.
-Says he's very happy for Brian Kendrick and wishes him the best.
-JT Evans asks London what the fans can expect in his PWG debut, which London replies "an uncensored, unrestrained spirit...the fans can look forward to honesty".
Paul London also discusses being in the 2005 Royal Rumble, feuding with Chavo Guerrero, President Obama, the four way tag team ladder match at Armageddon 2006, Juventud Guerrera injuring him, possibly going back to ROH or TNA, word association with names such as Rey Mysterio, Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Batista, John Cena, Triple H, Vince McMahon, and much more!! |
To say Paul was blunt is an understatement.
AkumaTh - February 11, 2009 02:09 AM (GMT)
Christian is on MUTHER FN ECW!!!!!
Joe The Hedgehog - February 11, 2009 02:28 AM (GMT)
He's right too.
Tonight's Main Event on ECW is Jack Swagger vs Christian in a Non-Title Match.
Iota - February 11, 2009 02:48 AM (GMT)
Christian as in "Edge and Christian" Christian?
An EnC reunion would actually get me to turn on a WWE program.
Joe The Hedgehog - February 11, 2009 03:00 AM (GMT)
More chances of Cena getting a losing streak.
But yes, the same Christian.
Left TNA months ago, was rumored to be signing up for a WWE Contract (And was led by WWE to look like he'd come back at the Rumble), and well, here he is.
EDIT: Christian beat Swagger thanks to Finlay.

But. But. It'd be so awesome.
Joe The Hedgehog - February 11, 2009 03:10 AM (GMT)
Not denying that, but still, I doubt it would happen.

Are you kidding me?! The old thread had great memories in it. ACCURSED MODS, I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE.
In the meantime, might as well give my predictions for No Way Out this Sunday:
WWE Championship
Elimination Chamber Match
Edge vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Triple H vs. Vladamir Koslov vs. The Undertaker vs. The Big Show
Sure, on paper it seems as though there's no way Edge can leave with the title considering he's up against ALL the men he's wronged in the past year. But here's the thing, they're gonna need someone who can carry a good World Title match at Wrestlemania and with all due respect to guys like Triple H and Taker, Edge is the kinda guy who you wanna see lose the World Title at an event like Wrestlemania. As much as I'd like Edge's World Title reign to be ended ASAP, something tells me that he'll still be champ by the end of this one.
World Heavyweight Championship
Elimination Chamber Match
John Cena vs. Chris Jericho vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Kane vs. Rey Mysterio Jr. vs. Mike Knox
Okay, there REALLY should be no debate about this one. I by no means would ever downplay the abilitie of the challengers, (except Mike Knox) but let's face it: They're building up for Cena vs. Orton at Wrestlemania because I don't see Orton going up against anyone else in this match. If otherwise were to happen I'd be the most surprised wrestling fan on the face of God's green Earth.
ECW Championship
Jack Swagger vs. Finlay
Finlay's a good fighter and all, but with or without Christian's return, I don't think he's gonna win the ECW Title either way. Swagger may not be undefeated anymore, but his title reign sorta begun and I think they're gonna keep it on him for a while. That's just how it goes, really.
No Holds Barred Match
Randy Orton vs. Shane McMahon
I do wanna play the sentiment card and say that Shane McMahohn wins, but Orton's monster push as of late doesn't seem to be faltering and I doubt that it will be any different going into this match. Shane can fight with the best of him but Orton's got that mean streak and an even meaner kick to the head to back up his words. Look what Orton did to Mick Foley years ago, for Christ's sake. At the end of the day, Orton has to keep his push strong going into his World Title match at Wrestlemania and beating Shane is the only way to do it.
Shawn Michaels vs. John Bradshaw Layfield
I really was hoping this match was gonna happen in the home state of both of these guys at Wrestlemania, but I guess they've got something bigger in mind for these two by then. In any event, after everything that's gone on ever since November, it seems HBK's last hope for all this crap happening to him is there and then. No one wants to see HBK being a sell-out and he owes it to his fans to beat JBL in order to do so. I can't imagine HBK keeping this up anymore even if I wanted this to happen at Mania. It's gotta end soon so I predict HBK's win and in turn, his freedom from JBL.
Is that it? I expected more from them, but...
Joe The Hedgehog - February 14, 2009 05:16 PM (GMT)
Might aswell post my predictions too.
WWE Title
Elimination Chamber
Edge ( c ) vs Jeff Hardy vs Triple H vs The Undertaker vs Big Show vs Vladimir Kozlov
It's obvious who I want to win.
Honestly, there's only three people who could win this. No offense to Taker, but we know he WON'T win this match, and he sure as hell won't be one of the final two after everyone is eliminated either. Kozlov... what the hell do they see in him? Big Show isn't ready yet, especially since I think he's turned face again. So that leaves three.
Triple H: Well, it's Triple H.
Edge: He's the champion, and well, this would keep the heat he has onto WM25 when he loses the title. Chances are he'd be facing Triple H at WM if he does win.
Jeff Hardy: He's only been in one Chamber match, but if you remember last year, he quite literally destroyed EVERYONE in the match, including D-X at the same time. And then it took not one, not two, but THREE Pedigree's from Triple H (the last being on a chair) to keep Jeff down. And if Jeff wins, it'll be him vs Matt at WM25 for the WWE Title. If he doesn't win, expect to see him winning the MITB Match like he was meant to do last year.
World Heavyweight Title
Elimination Chamber
John Cena Retaining The Title
Next.
ECW Title
Jack Swagger ( c ) vs Finlay
Well, while Finlay should get another title sooner or later, it's kinda obvious Swagger will win. Also, Swagger does NOT have just three losses on his record. Look at his House Show record. He's lost EVERY HOUSE SHOW he's been at.
But anyway, this'll set up to either Swagger vs Dreamer or Swagger vs Christian at WM25, so expect Swagger to win this.
All Or Nothing
HBK vs JBL
HBK wins, he's free from JBL and JBL will pay HBK all the money he needs. JBL wins, he owns HBK for the rest of his career.
Well, this could either be as obvious as Cena's match, or we could have a suprise on our hands.
On one hand, it's a JBL PPV match, so 99% chance he'll lose. On the other hand, he has suprised us in the past, so anything can happen really. I expect HBK to win, since to be honest, I'm a bit bored of the storyline now.
No Holds Barred
Shane McMahon vs Randy Orton
Well, in the past, I'd say Shane had (pardon the pun) no chance in hell. But as we've seen over the years, Shane can take a fucking beating and still get up. Hell, anyone who can take a beating in a Hell in a Cell match and still walk is a tough son of a bitch in my opinion. Shane has pulled out suprises in the past, holding victories against HBK, Triple H, Kane, Angle, Rock.
Orton is gonna be very dangerous in this match, as anything goes. Which means he can do whatever he wants, including kicking Shane's head off.
However, the McMahons specialise in these matches, and Shane is even more dangerous than Orton, as Shane is almost as risk-taking as Jeff Hardy and there's nothing he won't do to make sure Orton won't even walk to WrestleMania.
I actually expect Shane to win this, as while Orton will have momentum going into WM25, there is one thing he should know by now.
No matter who you are.
No matter how many times you beat them.
The McMahons.
Always win.
Lightspeeds - February 16, 2009 12:37 AM (GMT)
Hey guys the Free for all just started.
Edit: Well the ppv begins and we start with...the Smackdown Elimination Chamber?
Edit: And EDGE IS THE FIRST TO BE ELIMINATED, expect him back later.
Edit: Match over Triple H wins. FUCK! Oh well bring on Shane vs. Fuckslut.
Joe The Hedgehog - February 16, 2009 01:54 AM (GMT)
Edge didn't come back, so the NEW WWE Champion is...
...oh, it's Triple H again.
Great.
EDIT: Next, it's No Holds Barred.
BAZ - February 16, 2009 02:57 AM (GMT)
quick update, RKO won, though no punt this time.
Swagger is still ECW champion. He'll be facing christian next.
And currently on is HBK vs JBL......I hope to god this isn't Shawn's swan song. He shouldn't go down like this. Not to an arrogant F***er like JBL.
Edit: HA! FU JBL! Shawn wins with one sweet sounding sweet chin music. Although....Shawn's wife did hit JBL, that might come back to bite them later.
And now the final match. World title elimination chamber. And Cena is starting in a pod for this. Yo Joe, who do you want to win and who do you think's going to win?
WHAT THE?! EDGE JUST AMBUSHED KOFI!! AND NOW HE'S IN THE FUCKING MATCH!!!!!!
WildFox03 - February 16, 2009 03:12 AM (GMT)
Wow...Triple H wins? So why did they made Jeff loose the belt then? *scratches head*
BAZ - February 16, 2009 03:18 AM (GMT)
I don't like this. Yes Cena should probabily drop the title, but not to Edge. Are the WWE writers determined to redicule Triple H's and Ric Flair's title reigns by making Edge have the most major title reigns?!
WildFox03 - February 16, 2009 03:27 AM (GMT)
I knew that something was not right in the picture. Like Kofi had legitmitly a chance in this...
BAZ - February 16, 2009 03:32 AM (GMT)
edge is the 3rd man released from the pod and get's attacked by an enraged Mysterio. Then Jericho get's involved.
SHIT!! Cena got pinned. Edge, Rey and Jericho remain.
The Wise Mankey - February 16, 2009 03:45 AM (GMT)
Are you KIDDING ME?!
This will not end well...
BAZ - February 16, 2009 03:48 AM (GMT)
It didn't. WHY WWE?! WHY THE FUCK DOES THAT MOTHERFUCKER DESERVE TO BE IN THE TITLE PICTURE ALWAYS?!
Sorry, I am angry. It means Orton will face Triple H and Edge will be facing Cena.....this just isn't right. Rey had a chance for a second title reign. It should have been Rey.
The Wise Mankey - February 16, 2009 03:50 AM (GMT)
*head desk* They can't even go THREE HOURS without Edge being a World Champ.
That does it, I'm officially sick of Edge's shit.
WildFox03 - February 16, 2009 03:52 AM (GMT)
You aint the only one Mankey. I mean We get it! "Ultimate opportunist" WE KNOW! They over-using this now! GEEZ!
Joe The Hedgehog - February 16, 2009 03:57 AM (GMT)
So let's see...
Smackdown has both World Titles again.
It's gonna be Orton vs either Edge or Triple H at WrestleMania.
Well, No Way Out I think takes the title of '2009s Worst WWE PPV'.
Lightspeeds - February 16, 2009 04:04 AM (GMT)
Oh yeah, because these swerves WWE are pulling are becoming outright piss poor.
WildFox03 - February 16, 2009 04:09 AM (GMT)
I mean not it so obvious that if there a title match with Edge not involve, where damn sure that something will happen. I mean right from the start, Edge was quickly eliminated...and then with someone like Kofi kingston in the EC,you had to wonder that something was up..*sigh*
BAZ - February 16, 2009 04:09 AM (GMT)
I'd hold on that worst PPV title Joe. Don't forget it's Wrestlemania next. Whoever wins the money in the bank match better not come from smackdown or else asshole will steal it and do what he did the last two times and rob a title like the dipshit he is.
.....actually Joe you just reminded me of something. Orton, though a heel, has been getting a lot of RKO chants recently. Maybe they might make Orton skip the more obvious choice and go for Edge instead.
But now the countdown to wrestlemania begins, 49 days.....we need a 17th victim for the Deadman (hoping it's Koslov), 8 suicidal people for the MITB match, a new playboy cover as always and, most importantly, a legend to shut Jericho up. I'm hoping a recent legend comes back to whip some ass.

But couldn't he just beat up Knox, he was the most worthless person in that match!
AkumaTh - February 16, 2009 04:34 AM (GMT)
I can't believe Edge lost and won two different titles in one night!

Your forgetting a match with a celebrity involved. For a instant I thought we would had a Mickey Rourke / Chris Jericho match. XD
The Wise Mankey - February 16, 2009 06:15 AM (GMT)
Blackmist - February 17, 2009 02:46 AM (GMT)
This is what I miss. A great promo and a hell of a lot of emotion. Thanks, Piper.
Joe The Hedgehog - February 17, 2009 03:17 AM (GMT)
Shame that's been the ONLY good thing on Raw so far.
Anyway, next week, it's gonna be HBK vs JBL again.
The stipulation this time?
The winner faces the man who has never lost at WrestleMania.
The Undertaker.
Lightspeeds - February 17, 2009 04:06 AM (GMT)
Well now we know who Orton's facing at Mania.
BAZ - February 21, 2009 03:00 AM (GMT)
Rewind check is needed on the JBL vs HBK match. Koslov says he's going to beat up one of them, and then on smackdown he will try to beat the Undertaker. He may win that but Wrestlemania........no. undefeated streak for koslov will recieve a major blip in the form of the Deadman.
Plus, the king of kings is on the warpath with Orton. Sorry Akuma, you may say this is orton's year but he's going to be beaten badly now.
Lightspeeds - February 24, 2009 02:07 AM (GMT)
Well Raw is on and Vickie has been made interim general manager and Cena tells her to stick it.
AkumaTh - February 24, 2009 02:22 AM (GMT)
A MITB Qualify match with Miz, Morrison and Punk!
Lightspeeds - February 24, 2009 02:33 AM (GMT)
Joe The Hedgehog - February 24, 2009 02:38 AM (GMT)
So wait a sec.
CM Punk beat BOTH Miz and Morrison at the same time?
In the same match?
OH HO!

It's easy to get a win when they bicker with each other...
And it's frikkin funny to see Santino with Dolph.
Lightspeeds - February 24, 2009 03:02 AM (GMT)
That match is over with a loltastic finish.
Next match: HBK vs. JBL
Unshocking news: Manu's gone.
