Title: The seal is broken! It's your turn Soukou!
Description: Akuryou VS Soukou
Akuryou Densetsu - January 16, 2009 03:48 PM (GMT)
Prologue:
Fighting fire with fire is a concept wich has been around since the dawn of time. To defeat the hero whom fell to evil, Eforia, spirit of the planet, created a hero from the world's fallen evil. This dark force was sealed within the first warrior that ever dared to defy the tyrant God King of Uruk, Gilgamesh, and wounded him.
This warrior would be known throughout legends as Akuryou, the warrior that overcame death and utterly destroyed a God.
For many centuries this gaurdian was summoned in times of need, untill time made the world forget and magic was only found in the worlds of fiction.
Gilgamesh however, had long claimed his desired wish to become immortal before his defeat and by destroying the sources of magic in the world, the balance of the universe tried to restore itself by manifesting it's energy within the last few magical outlets of the world. Gilgamesh and those that followed him.
Ironicly, the very restoration of balance that Gilgamesh manipulated to restore himself, also brought back the return of the worlds gaurdian.
A long war began between Akuryou and Gilgamesh, one that neither side seemed capable of winning. It wasn't untill one of Gilgamesh's own elite warriors betrayed him and took down his entire isle Kingdom with her, that some of the worlds ancient magic was forcibly restored to the world. In order to keep his army alive, Gilgamesh lost enough power to lose his immortality and perished in a final dual with Akuryou.
Eforia's gate, came to fall in the war. Without this link, the seal that kept the dark and twisted power seperated from his mind, would soon fade away from Akuryou.
---
Far below his mountain fortress, the last remains of an entire country slowly perished in the flames that had devoured it. The world was tainted, with it's endless wars, battles for power over other people. The world did not need a conqueror, it needed a destroyer. Only when all was gone, could there be peace.
He leaned down on his balcony as he looked down upon the barren waste-land before him. Everything in this world relied on power.
"And there is no one in the world with the power to stop me now."
Soukou Von Blaqk - January 16, 2009 04:36 PM (GMT)
The dark hall way was illuminated by one little light, a dark haired male stood beneath the pale glow. He began thinking of why everything ends by his hands.
REGRET had called him out once again, they had given him miniature details about his assignment, and they had asked to meet in person outside a hotel, just outside of town.
Soukou took a deep breath and found the energy to open the elevator door.
He pushed the button to go to the ground floor, which opened up just by the doors of the apartment building he currently resides in.
Within minuets, he met up with an agent of REGRET. They asked to be called by ‘Enigma’.
“ Okay, Enigma, what do you want? ” Soukou asked sternly.
Enigma simply handed over an A5 sized photograph of a male.
“ Akuryou?”
Soukou scrunched the photo away in his pocket as Enigma vanished before his eyes.
Too many thoughts were raging in his mind, the downpour of rain began to get on his nerves; he looked up at the sky, catching droplets on his nose. His eyes wandered towards the mountain fortress, he couldn’t understand why ‘Enigma’ wouldn’t give his or her real name. He knew all of the REGRET agents; he worked closely with all of them. He knew something was off about ‘Enigma’.
These thoughts aside, Soukou knew what he had to do. Deep inside there was a force stronger than himself which drove him to fight against challenging opponent. First Akuma Dior then Hikaru Kimura and Ashura Kashika.
And now Akuryou.
“... Am I ready for this?”
Akuryou Densetsu - January 17, 2009 12:49 AM (GMT)
An insane laughter echoed throughout the silent night, a dark apparition darted down from the mountain path, slithering across the dead land as if he were a liquid shadow. In one sudden dash, it slammed itself down into the ground as it reached the foot of the mountain, the shape exploding into a swarm of black raven, leaving behind a cloud of feathers as they faded in the sky.
"You should've just given me your wallet." A man grunted, raising a knife toward the damsel infront of him. His wrist however, was swiftly caught. Before the man could react, he was dragged into the shadows, with not a single sound following it.
Hesitantly, the woman got up to her feet. But as she peeked down the alleyway, her eyes met that of two yellow iris', drifting in black sclera. Startled at first, she slowly backed away, yet couldn't help but ask. "D-did you...?"
"Did I save you? No. Will you live? No. The both of you... were merely in the way of this 'hotspot'." Further choosing the ignore the confused and frightened woman, he closed his eyes and held out his hand. Slowly, dark matter seemed to be pulled from the concrete, taking the shape of a long jeweled spear in his firm grip. With it, he began to scrape symbols on the ground. Once the Ame-no-nuhoko, the heavenly spear of creation, were to pierce the Alter-Seal he was preparing, everything that lay on the 'branch' of this magical hotspot would be devoured as if it were pulled in by a black hole. The same tactic he had used on the previous cities and the many more to come.
Dark clouds gathered above the city, the rain starting to pour down more furiously then it did before as the woman, frozen with fear, could only stare in disbelieve at the weapon that materialized out of nowhere.
Soukou Von Blaqk - January 17, 2009 01:22 AM (GMT)
Soukou slowly began to run to his destination. His inability to fly was is weakness, travelling on foot constantly posed dangerous hikes through unknown terrain. He would usualy have some form of transport given to him by REGRET, but the mysterious Enigma had given him nothing. Soukou was starting to doubt this person was even an agent of REGRET.
His run turned into a sprint. His daemonic heritage boosted his top speed, which compensated for lack of flight. He was mear seconds away from his goal, though he grew cautious of getting closer. He was petrified at the overwhelming darkness which suddenly clustered in the sky.
"No, I'm stronger than this." He found a strange calmness in talking to himself, after all who knows you better than yourself?
Soukou dropped to the ground once he could hear voices and crawled forward, hoping to be un dectected.
Akuryou Densetsu - January 17, 2009 11:37 PM (GMT)
"Incedo."
Bright green light illuminated the walls, the powerfull glow emitting from the seal that was scraped into the ground. The tip of the spear was hovering just a few inches above it, a dense gravitational pressure visible between it. The spear was slightly lifted up before striking down the center of the seal, the tip sinking straight through it into thr ground. Within seconds a large dome, visible only to people with a natural affinity towards magic, eveloped the entire city. The spear slowly continued to travel down, the seal spreading around the dome like a magical web.
"Der wind schläge einer der schwarzen Krankheit.
Der rasende Fluch ist ein nicht vermiedener unfall."
Slowly the earth started to tremble as the magic network flowing underneath the city started to collapse. The air felt humid, though the wind blew violently. And whispered words, were given meaning to the ears of all that listened.
"Without a shred of mercy. The coming black flame, the death of Babylon. My will opens the gate of Hades."
He payed no heed to his surroundingd, after all, no-one could prepare themselves from an attack like this. No-one could get here in time. No-one could predict where he would strike. No-one possessed the power to do so. And by the time there'd be only so few cities left that 'they' could encounter him, they'd be insignicant in power anyway at that point.
Soukou Von Blaqk - January 19, 2009 09:40 PM (GMT)
"False alarm..."he said comforting himself. The voices he grew timid of were just locals. He pushed himself of the ground and ceased concealing his energy levels. At this exact point, a sudden rush pulsed passed his ears. Definatly a surge of Magical energy.
His thoughts were confirmed by the large dome surrounding the city. Something was definatly changing around him, this strange power ... He had never felt this power before. He knew what he had to do, it was almost like destiny was calling out to him. It seemed far too conicidental for this just to be happening today of all days. He reached out into the magical void, finding the source of the magic.
Soukou couldn't teleport to the source even if he did find it, the dome surrounding the city would interferre by warping him to different edges of the city - He'd never get to the source in time if it was a danger to the city. He ran, as fast as he could. He doubted his super speed could get him there in time, there were no visable shortcuts anywhere.
A sudden surge of power brought Soukou into a flight-like dash, lifting him from the ground, could he get there in time with this added energy? The sources signal grew stronger.. and stronger.
"Am I getting closer at all?"
Suddenly, a second power signal became clear. Stronger than that of the source.
This is it... he managed to get there,...
"Am I too late?"
Akuryou Densetsu - January 20, 2009 10:24 PM (GMT)
"Those on the path of conquerers need no one!"
The chant continued, his voice getting louder, the spear sinking deeper the more he drew to a close of the destructive spell. Letting both his hands hover over each other, the palms faced downwards right above the spear as if to lend strenght into pushing down.
"Everything before my eyes faces eternal destruction!!"
The scraped seal lit with a strong blue glow as he spoke the last few words, locking the spell in place. He pulled both hands back, only to raise his right hand up in a way as if he were about to strike down. Thousands of ghostly chains appeared, spread around the entire dome. Immune to touch and hardly visible to eye, they were all connected to the seal on the ground.
"Chains of annihilation! Release!"
Countless of tiny glyphs seemed to dance in his eyes, twirling around the iris as his hand moved down to drive the spear into the seal completely, to finish the spell, without a worry of what happened around him.
Soukou Von Blaqk - January 20, 2009 10:44 PM (GMT)
Soukou pushed his feet in front of himself. The friction produced slew him down to a skidding halt, at a too close for comfort distance to the intense power sources. Instantly recognising this spell wasn't finished, he knew he had arrived.
"... In the nick of time." he said calmly.
He rushed again towards the malevolent figure inducing the spell. It was strange, this was a side to him he didn't know. Rushing in head first to attack? What was he thinking of?
His fist seemed to pull itself back and lunge itself towards the spell caster.
Destiny, it seemed, was dictating his movements and power.
Akuryou Densetsu - January 21, 2009 02:51 PM (GMT)
Eyes, cold and dark like the void of space, stared straight in the face of his attacker. The expression on his face was blanc, unreadable, except for a slight hint of curiousity perhaps. He had hoisted himself up into the air, upside down, with only his left hand resting on the wrist of his attacker as if his body weighed nothing. He pushed himself away, spinning around his axis as he landed on both feet. He continued to stare at his assailant for awhile, untill his eyes slowly wandered to the seal. The blue light had slowly turned red and with a powerfull blow, the spear was ejected from mark. Both the spear and the dome crumbled to pieces as they slowly vanished from sight. The spell had failed due to the delay between actions. Slowly he raised his hand, pointing at Soukou.
"You die."
Soukou Von Blaqk - January 21, 2009 09:40 PM (GMT)
This was bad, Soukou had never faced such a powerful foe before. He was begining to think that he may never again. Not after his daring attack before he even had a chance to register the opponents strength.
The strange powers he possesed both amazed and terrifed Soukou. It was clear to him that facing Akuryou was his ultimate destiny, he had followed the clues. He was slowing starting to believe all those tales he was told as a child of the White Knight, of one man being the destined hero of mankinds future. Could he be the fabled White Knight's reincarnation? Of course not. He was no hero of mankind, a daemon will always be seen as a daemon. Soukou stopped daydreaming and focused on his enemy.
"At the risk of sounding cliché... Bring it on."
Akuryou Densetsu - January 21, 2009 10:15 PM (GMT)
"Che!"
A mocking grin played along his lips, the pointing hand opening it's palm towards the 'intruder'. It was clear he didn't plan on having to fight seriously, nor even see Soukou as a threat. With his other hand he moved the wet strands of hair out of his sight, combing it behind his ears. He had already turned his back on Soukou when the green flame left his hand, a low level blast that didn't even require a mantra.
"Insolent pests." He muttered, regarding this matter as dealt with.
Soukou Von Blaqk - January 21, 2009 10:46 PM (GMT)
Soukou, feeling the sheer weakness of the attack, deflected it with minimal effort. He was suprised that Akuryou couldn't even slightly notice his super-human aura. And his tail for that matter, a most distinctive feature of those not human.
Soukou called to his enemy :
"I'm still alive, you know."
Akuryou Densetsu - January 21, 2009 11:08 PM (GMT)
His calm demeanor had faded the moment he turned toward the voice, however, not towards the effect of being scared or angry or shocked for that matter. A wide grin showed his teeth, his hands moved over his face once to wash away the rain. His eyes widened slightly, he leaned forward for a moment before arching back in a maniacal frenzy of laughter, almost as if he were excited.
"No way! No Way! Who'd expect any of you would show up this early."
His hands slid down his pockets.
"I had predicted you guys would go for a strategical 'last stand'."
Like a wild hurricane, large amounts of energy exploded from his body as he stopped suppressing it, whirling around his body like fire around a torch.
"Let's see what you're made from... Arondight!"
The energy focused on a single point close to his hand, by the time he had lunged forward towards Soukou he was wielding a knight's sword as he made his first attempt in slicing his opponents left arm off.
Soukou Von Blaqk - January 21, 2009 11:35 PM (GMT)
Soukou had to act quickly, it would take too much time to get his sword out in time. He timed his actions with precision, he took a sharp dodge to the right. Watching the blade as it passed his vision. Too close.
Soukou unzipped his guitar bag, revealing a sword. Knowing now was the time to use it for the first time in ages. Being hidden away in a guitar bag was a simple disguse, but it didn't draw the authorities attention. Not that it mattered now, the future of the world was at stake.
He took a few steps back, pointing his shimmering blade at his enemy. He was once again impressed at Akuryous power, summoning an ancient blade was a skill worth praise. Soukou admired his oppents abilites, he was truely the greatest enemy he will ever know.
Soukou allowed his true power to flow. It would be worth it, his regular form may never be as powerful as Akuryou, it's all part of the challenge.
"Allons-y."
Akuryou Densetsu - January 23, 2009 09:33 PM (GMT)
The face wide grin remained on his face, filled with an utter madness, a desire for carnage. Something that would be all the more worthwhile if he could achieve it through the means of a difficult fight.
"Soukou..." The name was spoken in a low hiss, his eyes narrowed as he watched his familiar opponent.
His shoulder shook for a moment, a suppressed chuckle escaping his lips before he burst out in a crazed laughter again.
Good! Good! You came prepared." He shouted.
He put a firm grip on the sword in his own hand, the hilt seemed to be vibrating, details seemed to be phasing in and out of existence constantly. Either the blade was resisting it's wielder, or the summoning of the blade was imperfect, perhaps tainted.
Either way, his wielder did not seem to notice or care, immediately swinging the blade upwards towards Soukou as he lunged forward.
Soukou Von Blaqk - January 26, 2009 07:44 PM (GMT)
"Akuryou..."
That manic laughter sent chills down Soukou's spine. He had heard this laughter before... the insane, maniacal laughter. He actually began to smirk when he heard his name spoke by Akuryou. Allthough there wasn't much time for that - Soukou readied himself to parry.
Akuryou Densetsu - January 26, 2009 09:37 PM (GMT)
The blade smashed into that of his opponent, an explosion of thousands of metal shards occurred on impact as Arondight broke under the stressing pressure of an unstable mana input. In the flash of light that occured from the impact, Akuryou had left the alley for higher grounds.
A magnifecent gathering of magic electricity bursted out from the rooftop closest to Soukou, a second attempt at forging a capable weapon was prepared.
"Power of Kings, forged by a benevolent power deep beneath Lake... under the winter moon, brightening the skirts of a long cloud, the blade running forth..."
Soukou Von Blaqk - January 26, 2009 10:13 PM (GMT)
He gasped at the explosion of energy surrounding him. Soukou looked up at Akuryou. He thought he could reconize the chant he was saying.
"Excalibur..?"
It seemed so utterly useless. He knew his blade couldn't stand up to the immense power of Excalibur... even if it became corrupt like Arondight. And there was no way he could get to Akuryou, not now...
"If there was just.." Soukou began muttering to himself. He eventually found a route to Akuryou. He leapt into the air and bounced off the walls and any ledge he could grasp climbing to Akuryou.
"I need more time... " Soukou rummaged through his pockets, dropping the photo as he pulled out a flash bomb. He threw it up, in hopes it would blind Akuryou for a moment, distrubting the summoning.
Akuryou Densetsu - January 28, 2009 03:45 PM (GMT)
He closed his eyes, a loud hiss escaping between his clenched teeth as he faced away from the light. Thought delayed, the summoning was not disrupted and the collected energy easily ripped through the roof when he turned.
He lost his balance for a moment, but allowed himself to fall down along with the part of the roof that came crumbling down into the building. Out on the street, the windows could be seen reflecting the light that came from inside.
He coughed for a moment, using his free hand to wipe away the dust from his face. The energy in his left hand had already attained the shape of a sword. "I am... am the the King of Knights..." He still coughed a couple of times inbetween, as debris kept falling around him, a strong wind emitting from the sword shaped light in his grip.
"I am the bearer of Avalon, heed my command Eforia! The king of Hero's calls for the right to bear 'the sword wich promises victory'. It's steel is my body, it's strenght is my blood... It's spirit my form."
A slender hand moved the energy up to point forward, a small glint of silver could be seen close to his hand, the hilt slowly showing itself in the grip of it's bearer.
Soukou Von Blaqk - January 28, 2009 10:10 PM (GMT)
He leapt from his mid climb, he gained no extra time from throwing the flash grenade. Landing on the streets below he raced towards Akuryou, he drew his blade again thrusting it forward.
Soukou built a small flame in his hand, allowing it to travel down his sword hilt to the blade. He swung his sword and launched his fire ball towards Akuryou - hoping to distrupt the spell. Though the battle had only begun - he felt as if he had been fighting with Akuryou for an eternity in a never ending battle of clashing metal and blood. Several outcomes of this battle raged in his mind, he knew now there was no way out until one was dead.
Akuryou was powerful - more powerful than he let on. Soukou could not reach the same strength.
"... I ... Will ..." he began to deny he could even hit Akuryou. Let alone kill him.
He didn't want this ... he knew if there was a way to purify Akuryou he'd find it - for know killing his best enemy is the only option. It seemed all invane... the energy emiting from Akuryou...
"The King of Knights ..." he said softly "... A fitting title"
The rain became a raging storm. The wind and rain blew in Soukou's direction - he could hardly see. He held his sword infront of his body to defend any attack.
Akuryou Densetsu - January 28, 2009 10:36 PM (GMT)
"It's not enough..."
The sword he held seemed to be made from a yellow crystal, emitting a strong light wich slowly pulsated. Agonizingly slow the silver color at the hilt spread, revealing the crafted sword of perhaps the most famous legend. But his opponent was already in front of him once again, leaving no time to fully summon the blade at once. He held it up in the air with both hand at the hilt, he would just have to fight, pulling his blade into reality piece by piece untill he could unleash it's power. Till then, it would most likely function just as well as any other sword.
"...I am the king..."
With a thunderous battle shout he leaped up into the air, slashing the blade downwards at Soukou.
Soukou Von Blaqk - January 28, 2009 11:18 PM (GMT)
"I see Exalibur isn't fully summoned." he sniggered. "At last some good luck."
Akuryou moved fast. Soukou managed to deflect his unsummoned blade, leaving a shallow cut on his face. The cut stung a little, nothing he couldn't handle. Soukou knew his sword will shatter if it even tried to block Exalibur. For now, he had to distact Akuryou from bringing the legend into this reality.
" ... Very well, King Akuryou." he said, mockingly. He swung his sword upwards at his enemy.
Linken Rocuta - February 2, 2009 10:10 AM (GMT)
"Kanskje blodet utleie tiltre!"A fierce battle cry bellowed out in to the open, accompanied by the sounds of hundreds, nay, THOUSANDS of blow horns and bass drums! Lights in the sky flickered and a chorus of angels sounded... But it was not angels... Valkyries! Hundreds of Battle Maidens seemed to descend from the heavens. They halted roughly 500 some-odd feet from the ground, their song continuing as a light that seemed to dissipate the clouds themselves shined on to the battle.
"Maiden's of Odin, I request your leave." The same voice as before, now speaking English, seemed to dwarf the song of the Maidens. Though they turned around, and began their ascension back to Valhalla and Asgard respectively, their angelic voices continued to ring out, piercing the clouds like bullets through water.
A sharp light seemed to zip through the one prominent beam that had been focused on the fight, as a loud
~SHNK~ was heard, and their swords were recoiled for but a moment. If they would only look to their right and left respectively, they would now see a figure standing adjacent to their position, a mere seven feet away, with his back turned.
"A bit flashy, I know. But I don't request it. It is the honor of any Hero descending from Valhalla itself." He turned around now to face them, a piece of the blade Excalibur in his hand.
"Interesting sword you've got here. I haven't seen a legendary weapon such as this since the world was shrouded in snow, and battle was actually held with honor." His insult towards the two was ended by the tossing of the sword piece back at the owner, this Akuryou. The sword piece seemed to, by it's own accord, float back in place.
The figure that questioned their honor seemed to be in his late twenties, though that was far from the case. An analysis and description from head to toe, would reveal these following details: His hair was a unique silvery-blue color. It held a feathery, spiked look to it, though remained absent of any sort of hair product. His eyes were a bluish violet that seemed to pierce through one's own soul, and send a chill up one's own spine. His face in general was handsome and held few scars, though one was prominent among others, and was positioned diagonally across his right eye, the upper point of the scar pointing towards the middle of his face, and the bottom point positioned directly at the peak of his right cheek. His wardrobe was unique, and consisted of no armor, per-se, but the finest and strongest of cloth, woven together and composed of the tiniest wood particles possible. It was golden, white, and black in color, all of which were generously distributed, and in good taste.
(Just in case the description isn't enough, and I really didn't want to waste time, this was the inspiration for my character's general design. The hair isn't correct to the T, and the clothes aren't EXACTLY what I have picked out for him, but they ARE the exact inspiration. Yes, I do like Ragnarok Online. Deal with it. :| )
"In case you got lost when I shouted out before... what I said was simple... May the Bloodletting commence." With that said, he brought up his right foot, and slammed it into the ground. Cracking was not even close to what he had done to the surrounding area. A crater of sorts formed below him, and the pressure of gravity seemed to increase itself tenfold as he began to radiate a heat that burned the eyes, and made the skin of his would-be-opponents numb.
"You may... be wondering... Why it is... I have come here..." A pause in his reasoning was due as he shifted his positioning, taking the
Tiger Stance, and putting fourth more of the heat. Strangely, snow began to fall in a very minuscule flurry, and the ground almost seemed to be frosting over.
"I have come to settle this dispute. Three warriors stand, only two shall remain, and then, perhaps only one. Do you feel it? That burning... Is no fire. It is my ambition... my rage... my passion... It is the cold fury... of Linken Rocuta!" His arms bulked up slightly, his eyes began to glow an icy blue, and the gravity seemed to let up a bit as a thunderous clap of wind and ice spun around Linken like a tornado, if only for a brief moment. Ready or not, the two warriors would be faced with an onslaught from one of Valhalla's greatest. Linken Seki Rocuta, the Guardian of Yggdrasil, the Ally of both Thor and Magni, the Right Hand of Hel, and The Champion of Freya.
"Odin be good tonight... I will honor you with the blood of a God killer."
Venge - February 2, 2009 11:18 PM (GMT)
"OI. OI OI OI OI OI OI OI OI!" Off from the distance, a cry loud enough to be heard, but not loud enough to shatter any ear drums, that would just be annoying and painful. He was holding a warhammer is his right hand, and had a sword strapped to his back. He had spiky black hair, was wearing Ray-ban sunglasses, and even sported a confident grin. He was wearing a black pinstripe blazer, on the back of it in gray, it depicted a hammer surrounded by angel wings. He was wearing a button up black shirt under it, which looked to have another design on it, with gray markings coming onto the front right side of it. He also had on a pair of dark blue/light gray jeans, and was wearing slip on vans. He walked up to the three warriors, and looked to the new one, a Mr. Rocuta.
"Flashy entrance, I must say." He grinned and winked, "Think you could hook me up with one of those Valkyries? I mean, I've been trying to get my wings for a little while now, but you can never be to early to bang a defender of the heavens, know what I mean?" He laughed, flicking the warhammer around in his hand. "Now, these two were having a very nice duel, one of which I was actually enjoying." He stared directly at the eyes of Linken Rocuta. The purple eyes shown back at him, and while they pierced his soul, the man didn't quiver, didn't shake, not a single hair stuck up on his body. He looked to the ground, and slammed the hammer into it, putting his right foot on top of it, as he put both hands in his pockets. "A mans duel even. Now, you're wanting to interrupt it?" He said, his head tilting back slightly, "I think we may have a problem.[/B]"
"The name is Venge, viking of the Caribbean. All the north was taken, and the pussy pirates down there weren't doing things correctly." He looked at the frost forming around Linken. "Ice? Quite a fitting technique for a norseman." He said, as he took out his sword, and pointed it at him. "Lets find out, who is the better warrior of Odin between us."
Akuryou Densetsu - February 20, 2009 11:53 PM (GMT)
A crazed grin crept on his face, the moment the tip grazed Soukou's cheek. He struck his blade down upon that of his opponent to parry the attack.
"Any hero that bleeds, can die..."
He moved his body forward, like a prowling jaguar about to jump his prey. However, before he attempted another swing at Soukou, he thrusted himself backwards instead, out of his enemy's reach as he turned his head towards the bellowing voice in the sky, his free hand shielding his eyes from the light.
"Wonderfull.... terrific!" He called out, as if the entrance of Linken had been that of an outstanding theater performance, a demeaning grin played on his lips as he studied the newcomer. The sword shaped crystalized mana exploded in a fountain of harmless shards as he pointed the incompleted Excaliber towards Linken, leaving nothing but the now fully summoned hilt in his hand.
"This hand of mine burns with the desire to destroy all that you are... like it did so many years ago to others of your kind."
He moved his hand away, placing it at his side as if here sheathing the hilt in an invisible scabbard.
"For you to grovel before me, when not even your gods can save you..."
With a bright flash of golden energy and blue electricty, he swung the hilt upwards, pointing it towards the sky. With one motion, he had almost summoned the blade up to eighty percent, only the tip of the blade still missing. His right eye no longer donned the rune engraved yellow iris, instead it had reverted back to a blue-ish purple. He had used half of his stored mana to immediately force as much of the blade into existence as he could.
His appearance also seemed to have become that of a slightly shorter persona whom moved her hair back into a pony tail. The Akuryou had taken the form of a dark and twisted version of a Valkyrie, adapting her form to the needs of the blade and the opponents she was about to face.
"I am eager to find out.. how much your weaponry has improved after all this time, hero of Valhalla. I was rather dissapointed with it the last time..."
She moved the blade infront of her, holding the hilt with two hands.
"This is not a mans duel, we are whatever we desire to be, this is a war in wich many do not possess the power to participate. Make your choice... the three of you..."
Soukou Von Blaqk - February 23, 2009 10:55 PM (GMT)
His wound felt like nothing and healed rapidly. A silent hissing sound emitted while it healed, fusing the skin back over the cut. As he looked at his rival he watched has his attention lingered to the newcomer. He thought of charging up an attack to surprise Akuryou.
It wasn't until Akuryou took the form of Valkyrie that Soukou knew he was in danger. Valkyrie was much darker and was giving out a stronger pulse of energy, albeit not much, than Akuryou. This wasn't the only thing plaguing his mind, just where did Akuryou go? Or was this new form still him? Either way he still had to stop them. Even if he was doubting the REGRET agent, his destiny was already written - and he was determined to find out how it ends.
"I may not be able to transform" He began, to himself. He held his hand to his chest and then thrusted it outward, pointing at Akuryou/Valkyrie " - But I will defeat you."
Soukou powered up a fire ball - manipulating the heat to cause some real damage ...
Akuryou Densetsu - February 23, 2009 11:23 PM (GMT)
She scowled briefly, seeing Soukou regenerate was't very pleasing, taking from her the pleasure to torture him cut by cut. That left her with just the option of doing major damage, not that such a thing wouldn't be pleasing, but she had allready calculated he had the speed to keep up with her attacks. Not the mention the fact that two more had shown up, making it difficult to charge and conserve energy.
"Keh!" Akuryou raised her head, glaring down at Gene. "Transformation? Hah! Your world won't even allow me to show you the true form that hides within this human exterior, young warrior... but don't let that make you think that determination alone is enough to assure you victory, lad."
She let go of Excaliber with her un-armored left arm, the clawed gauntlet of her right tightening it's grip on the sword, but making no means to defend herself just yet.
"One has made his decision..."

Soukou kept manipulating the heat for his attack.
His blade had succumbed to the might of the previously unsummoned Excalibur and began to shatter. He planted the sword into the ground - and now he was defenceless against Akuryou/Valkyrie.
If she was going to attack, Soukou needed to rely on his speed to dodge every blow and every swing.
Suddenly, something clicked in his mind. He thought of how the light reflected from the red moon could trigger his transformation - if he could somehow manipulate his fireball to emit the same energy as the red glow of the moon, he could stand a chance of transforming...
"It'll never happen..." he thought aloud. "But it's worth a shot - or is it?"
He tried not to think about it too much, he had to prepare for what Akuryou/Valkyrie had in store...
His heat manipulation of the fireball finally transformed into a blue flame. Soukou threw his attack up at Akuryou/Valkyrie - he didn't know if it would work, but anything was worth the attempt right now...
Akuryou Densetsu - February 24, 2009 10:05 PM (GMT)
"Che!"
She moved her attention from the other two, back to Soukou as he turned out to be the first to launch his attack. She closed both of her eyes, taking a deep breath as she seemed to focus. Then, opening only her left eye, she analyzed the fireball and reached out for it with her bare hand. Scooping the flame out of the air, like a lilly out of the water, she curiously started to study it, before glancing over at Soukou as she cocked her head.
"Why so impatient?" Regarding his sudden attack, she looked at him as if he did something completely illogical, but her attention allready turned back to the flame before he could respond.
"It singes..." She muttered. "Is this flame the extent of your fighting spirit?"
Soukou Von Blaqk - February 24, 2009 10:41 PM (GMT)
Bad. Very, very bad. His attack ... the hottest flame physics can create, and all it could do was singe? It seemed as though his powers were obsolete. Soukou was at the edge of his powers in his base form - he had to find a way to transform into is self titled 'True Form'.
His best shot seemed to be re-creating the energy of the Red Moon. But the logic was twisted. There was just no way a puny flame could change into the intense energy the moon could emit.
He would have to trick Akuryou into attacking.
"Keh, think you can do any better?" Soukou taunted Akuryou, trying to provoke a response. "C'mon. Show me why they call you 'King'"
Akuryou Densetsu - February 25, 2009 09:47 PM (GMT)
"King?" She repeated after him, questionably. She seemed to think it over for a while, as if she were contemplating something. She gritted her teeth slightly, a look of discomfort flashed over her face. She closed her hand around the flame, extinguishing it. All the while she kept her right eye closed, while looking over the small burn wounds on her hand, opening and closing her hand constantly.
"I did refer to myself as that, didn't I?"
Unlike before the shapeshift, she seemed to think more rationally over her actions. Rather then to dive into the fight headfirst with everything she had, her current form kept a more calm demeanor, one that wasn't easilly provoked into doing what her opponent wanted.
Hips swayed as she made her way towards Soukou. The blade slowly being lifted up untill it pointed straight at him. "I'm afraid I can't afford to waste anymore mana on you, besides, roasting you alive would make the trouble of summoning this sword all for nothing." She chuckled behind the back of her hand, finally opening her right eye again as well as she combed her fingers through her hair. However, the very second she did, she started to sway on her legs for a moment, lowering the blade slightly. She flinched again upon lowering her arm slightly, but what worried her the most was the reflection of her eyes in her own blade. She moved her hand towards her normal looking eye, studying it in the reflection as if she was hoping to find some trace of the yellow runes that donned in her other eye. "Careless..." She hissed, glancing momentarily at the small burn marks again. "It must've damaged the muscels."

Not the reaction he hoped for - knowing Akuryou he would have attacked more or less instantly. Oh but thats right ... that isn't actually Akuryou - it was a woman.
At this point a name was out of the question - he kept reffering to her ask Akuryou.
He slyly began to charge up a deep red orb in his hand - waiting for an attack from Akuryou to collide it with. The theory running in his head was that the red orb's collision with any attack from Akuryou will emit the exact energy as a Red Moon. He had studied Akuryou's attacks for a long time - his , or in this case her, attacks emit the same light as the reflected sun rays of the moon.
As her proximity closed in, he made sure not to take his concentration off her energy signals - the second they rose he would have to launch his orb.
He made sure he didn't reply to anything she said - for the rest of this plan to pull off, he would have to provoke her with his stare.
