Title: Hello there..
Description: My Introduction
Legendary Elite - January 15, 2009 03:25 AM (GMT)
Well to start with, my name is Legendary Elite. And that is a name I go by on many forums as well as a few other names but this is the most common I find. I'm a fan of role playing as well and like to do it whenever I can. I came here after watching the episodes of the Flash series many of you know as TTA which I have come to love very much for a lot of reasons.
I don't suppose there are any threads around here to chat about it?
Keeper Takura - January 15, 2009 03:30 AM (GMT)
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF, TTA has no home here anymore >:C
Nurse Katsu - January 15, 2009 03:47 AM (GMT)
Kirb hated all the annoying fanboys, so he left. Sorry m8.
Legendary Elite - January 15, 2009 03:49 AM (GMT)
I understand. In that regard, are there no threads still active in relation to TTA?
Straa McLovin - January 15, 2009 03:59 AM (GMT)
No, the TTA forum is abandoned and now in read only mode. Once Kirb shut down TTA because he cared more about random popular crap rather than something with a fucking huge fanbase, the inflow of TTA fans slowed down to a halt.
That, and god damn, a lot of TTA fans just can't spell or think. Though you seem to be a lot better off than a lot of them at the very least.
Legendary Elite - January 15, 2009 04:31 AM (GMT)
That's actually very true, and yes sadly that is the sad solid fact as well for a lot of franchises, no matter what sort, is that you get the irrational sort who "think before act" simply put. I'm just one of those good people out there that loves TTA for the right reasons. Not simply because TTA was all about Action sequences, the unique thing was that though the fight scenes were made like one from an RPG it was always different in terms of how the fights played out. The characters themselves looked as if they played different strategies each time though. But the best thing of all was that Kirbopher was able to combine good action and drama with good narrative conventions. People might consider it a ripoff of Megaman and Dragonball Z etc but really it isn't. It might use things from Anime shows, it might look like that but it thinks rather differently, more like it used those ideas from different Anime shows as inspiration. TTA actually impressed me because I found the need to watch every episode, it had a particular vibe that always had me guessing as to what would happen next, although I was able to sometimes guess how a certain situation would turn out (I always read the description of each video first, let's say if there hadn't been a description then that would've had me guessing even more). It was like one of those story books I could never turn down.
Not only that but even better was that it always remained true to its themes (and I studied a lot of Media and Visual Arts in Year 12, know that I'm 18 just so you know) but also entered more darker themes too. Not only that but I love nothing more than a good story (whatever sort) that can involve practically every character and experiment with their personality rather than focus on several main characters and make the rest look 2-D, no TTA actually made every character have their moment of glory whilst developing on the main ones (e.g. Alpha being involved with the Virus of Kagemamoru as well as shedding some light on his relationship with Flamygirl and his friendship with Kirbopher and Gamecrazed). Not only that but some characters turned out rather unexpectandly such as the 6 Netkings (partially excluding Zetto). I expected all of them to be serious individuals but as fate has it, they all became very different stereotypes from each other. The only truly serious one was Webmaster yet he treated TOME like it was his only child like the others but at the same time he does break down. You have Blitz who is a Netking yet a huge fan of Mario judging obviously by his appearance and his abilities. Kindarspirit being the only woman out of the Netkings displayed a tonne of innocence to her personality (as well as an uncontrollable desire to hug Kirbys' like so many fangirls would :D). Rubyrulz meanwhile was one who always liked to become the form of any character he preferred using the battle data from other characters, he was sort of like a psychic, a mind reader yet he still had a bit of nobility about him. EXE the 5th Netking, although he was the king of battles like Zetto, he became obsessive with the D-Bug virus and so was responsible for endangering the lives of every individual in TOME, even himself yet he came out as an anti-villain in the end like Zetto. In some ways he is Zetto but possibly a more older and darker form in some ways. Even Kagemamoru had a personality to not only be possessive of anyone he was able to take control of but also was innocent in some ways. When Alpha combined himself with the virus that held "Ericho's Spirit" so to speak in order to kill the D-Bug dragon, it was almost like Kagemamoru himself felt some competition as to be the ultimate virus/infection of TOME only instead letting some dragon become that.
Honestly the list goes on with the characters but you catch my drift. The main point of it all was that it reminds people that it's only a game and becoming obsessive is an unhealthy attribute when games come into mind. But it's not just that but also how Cyberbulling, hacking and even viruses can become very dangerous to us in real life if we don't know how to handle them properly. TTA remained true to this throughout the series and is exactly why I loved it. Honestly, I might resent Kirbopher's idea of completely abandoning TTA almost (I still believe that somewhere deep inside him that he wants to do a Season 4 but of course, I can't blame him due to College being his biggest issue) but I know that one thing he has done is started a trend I have been hoping to see for a long time. Not only that but TTA's spirit will live on. Kirbopher meanwhile deserves to be an inspiration to fans, artists and animators and anyone else.

At least the boy sure as hell isn't illiterate.
That aside, while I don't agree on numerous points about TTA's story depth and character development I certainly respect your well-outlined and detailed expression of affection for the series.
Even if you should not find this place terribly welcoming to TTA in of itself, you should at least hopefully find it welcoming of you.
Legendary Elite - January 15, 2009 05:06 AM (GMT)
lol, I'm not a boy.
But yes, I can see why it's not as welcoming as I'd like to think it is. But then, I'm curious, what's actually stopping anyone from expressing their opinions now that Kirbopher is gone?
Oh and that question is in no way disrespectful towards the author himself, it's just out of plain curiosity. Minus the irrational fantards.

To speak completely candidly,
Most of the out-of-clique users hereabouts stigmatized TTA As a whole due to its generally conceited creator, less-than-witty humour and general clique wankery in of the fact he held contests which people were really really fervorous about, offering people a place in the comic.
Meanwhile of course the contest winners were beaten the shit out of by the main character for like 5 seconds before it returned to "ADVENTURES OF KIRBOPHER AND PALS IN MEGAMAN BATTLE NETWORK + .HACK LAND!" Which... Is essentially all it was. It was Kirbopher putting his friends alpha and flamegirl in a rather bland mixture of the two. Of course, this brought the rabid anime and video game fans out drooling for all of this. See aforementioned "Be a redshirt contest". Most of the TTA Fans then really had no sense of etiquette, Kirbopher himself was only out-assholed by betamax (long story) and managed to alienate what little TTA Fanbase he had by outcasting his fans that he himself had created.
...Of course, that's only my perspective on how it happened.
tl;dr
Kirbopher arrives, leeches off of pre-existing FB20XL dumbfuckifans for the basis of his empire. Creates more blatant MMBN material with repetitive fights and nearly inuyasha-like reuse of powers, people eat it up, Kirbopher continues with this method adding in a slow weave of .hack-styled "OBSESSION WITH MMOS IS BAD M'KAY" storyline, Pampers his friends in his self-insert storyline, positively takes a dump on his immediate fanbase at all regions and then leaves proclaiming that he hates his fans.

I. Can't. Stop. Laughing.
I have several bones to pick with Kirb, but I'll let those lie. But I've GOT to see how you being here plays out. Enjoy.

Wait, are you referring to me or Diamond over there?
Well I guess to go with Diamond's comments about Kirbopher, I reckon that the only reason he probably rejects his fans is because (well stress could be one thing), well perhaps he just wishes there were some fans who actually were honest (by that I mean they have a very good reason for liking his creations).
Also, the other reason is that heaps of his fanbase want to ripoff a lot of his plot of TTA or practically do anything like that. I can see why though and I've seen it happen to others before. Of course it's not a good thing either way but then I guess he was so angry by that point that he wanted to thrash out at everyone.
I suppose I feel sorry for him either way.
Oh and uh, why can't you stop laughing?

Because Iota has no real sense of humor
That's why.
and boy I need to get my name changed at some point
Legendary Elite - January 15, 2009 07:26 AM (GMT)
Well after watching the audio file that went for about 40 minutes long with Kirbopher answering questions from the fans, then that helps a lot. It's understandable why he's so irritated.

To sum it up, about until TTA was cancelled, and even a few months after that, every single new member was spouting "I CAEM HERE 4 TTA :3"
Every. Single. One.
And it's been like... a year or so, and hey, another one! Lulz all around.
Diamond/Sam though? He's a fucking bastard coo'
Legendary Elite - January 15, 2009 08:57 AM (GMT)
Ah because the link directed them here even though Kirbopher or none of the cast ever come here anymore. Oh well.
Raptor_Shadow - January 15, 2009 10:22 AM (GMT)
God. And to think I remember the days when Kirb's dream was to get TTA hosted on FB20xl. Like, the moment that happened I swear he had a month long orgasm or something.

Did ... did you really ask that?
Wow, just wow. Most of the more annoying TTA fans all came here through the links Kirb had put up on that site.
To answer your question, FB20xl is short for www.Fireball20xl.com

It's understandable why she wouldn't know it, because the place sucks balls.
Also, like, the whole Kirb wanting the truth thing is silly. I remember a topic, (I got warned for it, though later released because of the Revolution, moar about that later.) Simply stated, a TTAFAG posted a thread entitled, "What part of TTA do you like the most?" I stated, "None of it." Later, kirb messages me and is like, "WTF U DON LIEK MY SHIT AND U POST ON MAH FORUM? WHAT THE FFFFFFFFFFFF KEEP UR SHIT TO YOURSELF." Fun evening really.
Enough of this aside though. Legendary, you aight. Stay here as long as you like.
-The names Venge, I need to get my name changed to.
Iota - January 15, 2009 06:33 PM (GMT)
Amazingly, there's a few decent things on FB20XL, but that's because PSY hasn't had too much influence yet.
RITTZ! TRUNKS! AME! GET OUT WHILE YOU STILL CAN!

Well I guess he does feel annoyed sometimes, especially when he makes a decent enough series for the fans and someone goes and says that they disliked it. Well I would feel annoyed but hey, I guess it happens.
I found it a great series nonetheless. Only episode 73 I had some issues with, mainly because Gamecrazed sounded a little cheesy when he was talking with motherboard. But otherwise the series was really good.

It seems like TTA fans who keep coming back are like hardcore masochists who were sexually abused by their hairy, overweight, balding uncle and want more.
Although you seem like you've gotten a fair amount of counseling.
Legendary Elite - January 18, 2009 07:22 AM (GMT)
Uhmm, excuse me, I find that a bit offensive.
I'm not some fanboy who rants about how orgasmic a character from TTA is. And secondly, I am not sexually abused by my uncle thank you very much, have some respect from new people will you?
