I'm looking at all the dumb card games (Chaotic, Duel Masters, Naruto, Ect), and it makes me sorry for card games like the Megaman NT Warrior Card Game that never made it past 3 expansion sets. That's when I had an Idea.
I was looking through Ebay for random Megaman Classic crap, when I saw some Japanese Trading cards of Megaman. they were randomly put together, but it had a solid idea- Making a deck around either Megaman and his power-ups, or Robot Masters, Stage Ememies, and Wily Bots. So I had an Idea for an American Card Game.
Megaman: The Robot Battles
Making a Deck is Simple:
~40 card Maximum/Minimum
~Make your deck with the different Card types: Robot Master/Megaman Power-Ups, Fields, and Ability Cards.
~You can only have up to 3 of any given Card.
Playing:
~The game mat/field is, much like all card games nowadays, set like the Yugioh Mat in a sense.
~Each Player starts out with 8 Health Points
~You can only have up to 2 Robot Masters out and Once.
~Only one Field Card can be active on your side of the Mat.
~you Can only play up to 3 Ability Cards Per Turn
~After adding Bonuses from your field and Ability Cards, Select a Robot Master to do battle with an Opponent's Robot Master or Attack Directly.
~If your Robot Master is Destroyed, you lose 1 Health Point. If it was a direct attack, you lose 2 Health Points.
You win the game if:
A: Your opponent runs out of cards
B: Your Opponent's Health points are taken to 0.
Does it sound good?
It seems like you'd need some sort of counter-balancing mechanism for a robot master vs. DRNs and weapon copy in general?
It seems like in general it would be a bit... Tilted.
ALSO THIS TOPIC CONVINCES ME THAT TFS SHOULD HAVE A TRADITIONAL GAMES SUB-FORUM
EDIT: Also you should have 8 Health points.
8 robot masters destroyed, y'know
Edited for 8 Health Points, and the usual "only 3 of any card" Rule.
