Title: Vista Woes

Ta Mere - November 27, 2008 02:30 PM (GMT)
Right, well, tried to start up the custom PC this morning only to receive a message about a Registry error(0xc0000000F), and that Vista needed to be repaired.

Ran the Vista repair tool by booting from the DVD drive, and got the registry error again.

Any other solutions to this problem?

booting directly from the CD are we? the tool shouldn't need to access the registry if it's running a repair. Or at least it shouldn't 0xc0000000F. make sure the CD drive is at the top of the boot priority in the BIOS.

Switched it around and tried what you suggested. After about 2 attempts the PC was back up and running.

Thanks for the tips, and if this problem happens again, just do the remedy over, correct?
