I'm attempting to reconnect my old scanner to my comp. The scanner is a Canoscan LiDe 30 and my OS is a Vista 32-bit.

When attempted, scanner does not show up in the Toolbox. How to make this work?

Did you check the Canon site for drivers?

Just a few seconds ago. Didn't work. For a definition of didn't work, the scanner doesn't respond when its buttons are pushed, and the Toolbox doesn't list the scanner under the settings section. Device Manager knows its a Canoscan, but I can't update it from there since it says the "required section was not found in the INF" or something like that.
