Title: Well it's official...

The economy is going down the shitter. Fast and Screaming.

The Bill should have fixed it, but hey some people in congress didn't like it cause it was too much money.

So...they'd rather watch a lot of money go down for nothing, than watch a lot of money go down to fix the problem.

...

Well that makes perfect sense.

Alright everyone, grab your hobo sticks, we're traveling on the road. Cause hell when the TSX is down more than 900 points and DOW is down more than 600 points, well lets just say we're gonna have a lot of hobos.

But enough about my views...what are yours in our hemorrhaging economy and market?

I'm not quite sure you understand why this wasn't passed. They didn't pass it because all this bill would do was help the rich corporations that got everyone into this mess. They'd rather pass something that actually helps the everyman.

...Right...

But...you don't seem to understand about the financial system. In order for the "everyman" can get money, they have to get a loan from a bank. Where does the bank get the money from?

BIG RICH CORPORATIONS!

...

So...what happened? Big corp got fucked, but so did the everyman.

You seem to think they're rejecting the plan outright. What they're rejecting is the fact that the taxpayers won't get anything back from it. The plan would have passed if Americans would make a profit off of buying a company their tax dollars paid for. But there was nothing more than "WE NEED BILLIONS OF DOLLARS NOW". Also, helping these companies hasn't helped anyone in the past 8 years. Thought I should just let you know. All it did was let them get off with doing anything, which ended screwing us all in the end.

In short, the entirety of Congress doesn't want these guys getting off free. Someone needs to be held responsible, and we shouldn't have to pay for them to continue doing what they're doing. Throwing money at every problem isn't going to fix it, it's just going to delay the inevitable.

P.S. The credit of many Americans was ruined due to these companies. So it's not like they could get loans these days anyway. My family included. (American Express, the owner of Lehman Brothers is responsible for that)

Alright, that shit is your fault for not making sure you weren't fiscally sound in taking out a loan. It's also the company's fault for doling out subprime mortgages to people who couldn't financially support them.

wtg, you crashed the economy. dick.

Well played.

Personally, I want to see the 'everymen' win. Screw the corporations. But the fact that we're all in debt IS partially the everyman's fault as well as the rich guys. However, that's where I'm left confused; why are we trying to put the blame on one side or the other when we know perfectly well (or should know) that it's technically everyone's fault? It sounds kinda stupid, but I'm starting to think that this situation is turning out to be one of those unsolveable arguements that goes on forever with no definite solution. You've probably realized this already. as I'm slow to analyze these situations as well as slow to reply to these damned threads. But I'm just sayin'. =P

((Bill: Nice. =3 ))
