ye guys, I've been running into a particularly shitty issue right now.it seems my internet has taken a liking to dropping on me. Now, it only does this when I'm on things like IE and FireFox, and MSN every once in a while (Speaking like, maybe once a month), but whenever I run an online game, such as Tibia or something, it likes to drop every 10 minutes or so, and when I drop the cilent for the game, it runs fine again. So, I'm assuming the computer can't handle things such as an online game, but I could be wrong.

However, when it does drop, the Modem (It's a Motorola SURFboard model SB5101) looks like it completely resets, then does it's thing where it checked the power, recieving, sending, then online, and then it works again. Sometimes it'll reset multiple times before reconnecting completely. Also, it doesn't say the internet has been disconnected.

Comp Specs are as follows:
Windows XP
Home Edition
Version 2002
w/ SP2
Pentium III processor, 551 MHz, 640 MB of Ram

Also noted that the computer is slow, and has issues playing videos sometimes, plays FLash okay, and runs Tibia on the lowest settings with Ease.

Any help guys? I could really use it.

DSL resyncs occasionally, usually when something changes at the ISP side, but it can also be caused by bad termination in the RJ11 port or whatever. Also, make sure your modem isn't running hot. That can make it a bit temperamental. I'll go into more detail when i'm not blootered.
