Title: Fable II
Description: From Pub Games to Fate Games

0ctane - August 14, 2008 05:26 AM (GMT)
This topic is about Fable II. The pub games are out, and I preordered my copy, so tomorrow I get to the code to play them. And that's what I'll be talking about.

But, Fable II is awesome. Out the anus.

This will probably sink to the bottom until October 21st. Which is when it comes out. I heart you gays.

Wolf - August 14, 2008 05:33 AM (GMT)
I'm looking forward to it but knowing me I probably won't get it for a few months.

Even my mom's looking forward to it too.

Jman1236 - August 15, 2008 01:28 AM (GMT)
Yeah I had the limited edition of Fable 2 reserved for over a month at gamestop.com, and oped for in store pickup, and they e-mailed me my code on Tueday. Fortune's Tower is very adicting but theres no better way to get into debt besides the spinboxes. I wonder what would happen if you transfered you file into the full game and you had debt? Would there be heavy-armed loan sharked that your character would have to deal with?

MYKE - August 15, 2008 03:50 AM (GMT)
1.Get the game before everyone else
2. Grind like a motherfucking fists of the north star, jesus christ!
3.????
4. Stereotypical animu villain for Mclovin :D

0ctane - August 15, 2008 04:03 AM (GMT)
I haven't gotten my codes yet, so, I'm playing the demo.

DEBT DEBT DEBT DEBT.

I only make money if I play Fortunes tower with bets of 120-150, otherwise I FAIL FAIL FAIL.

My biscuits are hard.

Hedgecat - August 15, 2008 04:20 AM (GMT)
I'll be bumping this thread in a year or so.

Y'know, when Fable II actually hits our game stores. Bloody Australian release dates.

0ctane - October 16, 2008 03:26 AM (GMT)
Hey guys.

Fivedaysuntilfable2orgasm.

I'm psychin' out.

Jman1236 - October 20, 2008 05:12 AM (GMT)
I traded in 4 games to gamestop and they payed for all but 2 bucks for the Collectors Edition of Fable 2 that I have reserved. However my Gamestop(Southfield, MI) is not doing a midnight release but other people are saying that other Gamestops/EBgames are doing them so call yours and ask them. Will Tuesday Get Here Any Faster?
Also watch this video to just about after 3:00 to see one the coolest things in the game(semi-spoiler but nothing about the story.)

Hero_of_Fate - October 20, 2008 08:31 PM (GMT)
Fucking shit, I need to get my hands on this game. I loved the original Fable, despite its flaws. Hope this one is like the original vision of Fable I, because that would make it even more awesome.

Jman1236 - October 21, 2008 05:44 AM (GMT)
X-play's Fable 2 review 5 out of 5! BOYA!!!!

0ctane - October 21, 2008 09:50 PM (GMT)
I haven't gotten fable 2 yet, because, 2-day shipping apparently takes two days. Which completely ruins my schedule, which looks like this:

Fable 2

I'm about to turn off the internet so as to avoid spoilers.

Now where's that tracking number of mine . . .

It's fantastic. Really, I haven't had a marathon gaming session like that in a long time.

At this point, I've crafted a Witch Hunter pretty much. Pistol, Cutlass, bit of fire for burning heretics, and an eyepatch 8D

I'm being a SKILL HERO. I used that pub games glitch before it was fixed, so I have loads of cash. Bought myself a steel blunderbuss, one shot kill pretty much. Love it.

I'll return, some sunny day.

0ctane - October 27, 2008 03:07 AM (GMT)
I just beat it and took the middle middle ending (Those of you who beat it should know what I mean.)

BUT HOLY SHIT. I didn't really do much of the side questing, BUT DAMN. I had a baby, and she grew up, and told me how I was a great dad and she wanted to be just like me.

I felt fucking warm and fuzzy.

The only issue I had was that I didn't do enough sidequests.

Tomorrow, I play through again.

With a vagina.

Iota - October 27, 2008 04:27 AM (GMT)
I've already started my Female/MALEVOLENT game. I grew horns before I even got into Bowerstone. Now my eyes glow red. I dig it.

After a long campaign of being a paragon of justice, killing children just feels so right.

She uses a cleaver, appropriately.

Nurse Katsu - October 27, 2008 08:20 PM (GMT)
I think I was the only one who opted to go good girl hero first. Why, people ask? Was it because of the loli girl being cute? No, of course not, though that was iceing on the September 11th. It was because, everyone was freeking guy first, being different is cool.

Though fuck, I really don't want to play her anymore. I took the left ending and WHILE HELPING MANY, I don't have my dog still. I fucking hate it. I miss my doggie. :<

Linken Rocuta - October 28, 2008 06:31 PM (GMT)
Well my friends. I'll get right down to it.

Fable 2 is amazing.

I'm working towards getting every Silver Key and every Gargoyle on my main character who I fashioned to look like Dante from Devil May Cry, simply because I could.

I have every Demon Door open. I've obtained every Legendary Weapon save for the Bow inside of the Gargoyle Chest...

The only thing that perplexes me at this time is the chest inside of the Mansion. I have yet to open it... But I will. Soon... Soon...... I didn't focus on Magic as I found that... it was quite useless at this time. I had no need to charge up for my special Will powers when I can simply one hit just about everything with the two greatest weapons in the game. FYI, The Daichi and the Legendary Turret Rifle. I can't recall the name, as all that comes to mind is the Enforcer, the Legendary Blunderbuss.

I'm currently Pure/Evil, Everyone loves and hates me at the same time. They fear me, yet they want my hot throbbing man cock.

Anyway. I'll update later if I ever find what's inside of the 50 key box. I have no fucking shame spoiling shit either, because this is TFS, not IGN. >:C

Hero_of_Fate - October 29, 2008 12:51 AM (GMT)
So uh...my daughter is broken. She won't do anything other than sit there, and doesn't react to expressions. Any gift I end up giving her also ends up in my inventory again after a few seconds. I think Microsoft might've rushed this a bit.

Linken Rocuta - October 30, 2008 12:29 AM (GMT)
So make another one. Kill your wife and get a new one. It's then circle of life, m'boi.

Also you're retarded for thinking that Microsoft made Fable. :| Lion Head, a British company, made it. They did indeed rush it.

Also? 50 Silver Key chest holds 50K gold. I raged.

Hero_of_Fate - October 30, 2008 07:41 PM (GMT)
I know Microsoft didn't make it, but they're the publisher. You do realize Publishers are generally the ones that rush a game, right? Because they refuse to miss a certain key money making season.

I felt fucking warm and fuzzy.

Same thing happened after returning from that god-forsaken Spire, with glowing blue cracks all over my hero's body, and claw mark scars that started all the way across from his cheek to his nasal bridge.

She still wanted to be just like him, and the wife seemed unusually understanding about the loss of his looks.

Then the daughter got happy when she was given a nice toy horse.

... I don't want to leave them again D:

0ctane - November 2, 2008 01:08 AM (GMT)
You got scars?

Weak.

I have died ZERO times, because I'm an expert at dealing with bandits. This usually involves an AXE an a motherload of LIGHTNING.

Hero_of_Fate - November 2, 2008 09:37 AM (GMT)
Yeah, it's pretty difficult to get scars in Fable II, unlike 1(where you get a scar from taking ANY hits). I didn't die at all in my playthrough either, though I do had those motherfucking Spire Guard Generals, or whatever they are. The ones that refuse to stop using that rending wave attack.

I never died to the bandits, only to the banderines. Partly because the AI for allies like Hammer is retarded and it resulted in me having to deal w/two flurry spamming rodent-men.

They still ate flying swords to their faces though.

0ctane - November 2, 2008 09:45 PM (GMT)
Balverines? Those things are easy. Easier than the Commandants, anyway. When they leap into the air, shoot the other one. When they land, roll the fuck away and fill their hairy carcasses with lead after they leap at you. It only took around fifty clips from my trusty "Rusty Clockwork Pistol" to kill one dead.

God dammit, flintlock just doesn't do it for me.

In my new playthrough, I realized that focusing on one thing, like "Skill only, Physical Only, Will Only" makes you terrible. I played through first with a skill hero, and got my ass handed to me several times(i.e. I died fifteen times, plus some). This time, I'm using everything, and let me tell you, it's so much easier (i.e., I haven't died once).

Hero_of_Fate - November 2, 2008 10:35 PM (GMT)
Yeah, that's how I played. It may take a while for your skill and will spells to be amazing, but by the time it's needed you'll be an unstoppable killing machine.

I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE.

Favorite clothing set from Fable 2. Well, on a woman at least.

Oh. Bunny ears not included.

Wolf - May 9, 2009 05:02 PM (GMT)
OH COOL A FABLE 2 TOPIC

I got it like 5 months ago or so, unfortunately I haven't been playing it that much because of other games + AND OTHER THINGS but I think it's pretty cool. Right now I'm trying to be an AWESOME GUNSLINGER but also working on Will and Physical so I'm not completely gimped.

I wish I could change the hairstyle of my character (I'm using the default man hairstyle) but so far the rest of the hairstyles aren't that appealing.

0ctane - May 9, 2009 06:08 PM (GMT)
My brother stole my fable 2, just I finished maxing out my blue hulking female. Maxed out as in ALL HER SKILLS ARE TOTALLY COMPLETE.

I never figured out why she was blue, though.

If a character is evil enough they'll end up looking like a Chiss from Star Wars w/the blue skin and glowing red eyes.

This is the step before horns and loldemonic look, though.

C.S. Goto - May 9, 2009 07:19 PM (GMT)
I managed to make my character look like a old, manly bearded, buff dante from devil may cry.
