So, I turned on my computer a month or so ago, when my computer said:

DISK READ ERROR
Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to Restart

I said, okay. I restarted.

It did it again.

After a few days, my computer worked. I started it up, and it worked really, really, slow. I started up TF2 after a while, and it LAAAAAAGGED. Like, hardcore. I rebooted, and got the disk read error again. It didn't go away for another week when my computer decided to work. I ran a CheckDisk, Defragged, and Anti-Virused. It worked better, and I could use the internet and get it too run at an only slightly impaired rate. I tried TF2, and had LAAAAG. Again. I rebooted, and I had the Disk Read Error. Turned off my computer, started it up again, and it worked. With lag. So I can't press the reboot button anymore.

Now, I've tried other games- Fable I, Dofus, and a few games on NewGrounds. The flash games ran perfect, Dofus lags (It's a semi-MMO, BTW), and Fable randomly shut down on me, and lagged sometime, but that might be an installation error. I tried TF2, and lagged really bad. I used Spybot, and it all ran a little smoother. I tuned TF2 down to Low settings, and it ran, kind of. One day I actually played a game without lag, once. Never again, though.

Before the error, my computer ran TF2 on high settings flawlessly. Now it's gone down to being ONLY able to run the internet, and that even runs slowly.

I don't know what caused the error, because it seems like it just popped up out of the blue. Help, pl0x?

Hard drive sounds fucked. Make sure all the cables are securely ocnnect in the case, though. I'm leaning towards hard drive fucked, though.
