To be fair, you are allowed to choose two.

I wish to be the steampunk pilot.

However coal is the closest thing to steam on this. So instead of that I'll just go solar/wind.

Nuclear and Solar power. >:C

Lightspeeds - July 25, 2008 05:30 PM (GMT)
Solar and Hydroelectric are #1!

Hero_of_Fate - July 26, 2008 05:00 AM (GMT)
I picked Hyrdoelectric just due to it being beneficial to Boston. Not like the rest of the US has a lack of them either. The place is surrounded by rivers. As for the other: Solar. Why the hell not?

I picked a combination of solar, hydroelectric, and wind power. The three combined could easily reduce dependency upon the majority of fossil fuels. Wind power alone can supply us with 20% of the average required amount of power.

I agree.

Anything would be better than fossil fuels right now, really..

Either nuclear or wind power would be best. Both are incredibly clean and safe, plus wind turbines look badass.

Hazzardous - September 12, 2008 06:30 AM (GMT)
But it only works in places of wind blowing fast enough to spin them...

I've seen windmill farms in both LA and Vegas...and I agree with Avi, their cool to look at...

They're really tall for a reason, ya know. It's ALWAYS windy when you get high enough up.

Strife_Hiro - September 12, 2008 07:32 AM (GMT)
Personally, I'd like to see some effort put into compressed air research.
Or, if one wants to go for a more fringe approach, cold fusion.

On the other hand, I'm sad at the fact that there's been noticable neglect into advancing towards even conventional nuclear power. =/

True, but you'll always have those whiny idiots who will say it makes the landscape look ugly...
