Title: I've witnessed a car accident.

Today, it was graduation, one of the greatest days of my life. My family was there, me and my friends were at a graduation party, and life couldn't have gotten any better from there. On my way home, after returning to school at 5 in the morning, I was driving down in the dark at a slow pace with lights on, when about a few feet away from me. A class-mate of mine, along with her friend, who both have attended the graduation ceremony, was driving a silver car, when a grey car came out of nowhere and drove into the front left of the vehicle. While the occupants of the silver vehicle was lucky enough to gain no injuries (except for one having a sore neck, which my be the result of the air bag deployed), the occupants of the grey vehicle wasn't so lucky. The driver was covered with minor cuts, only one being deep but narrow. Passenger was thrown out of the vehicle, resulting in a broken arm, as she lies on the dirt aside from the vehicle, constantly crying for help. The back-seat passenger suffered a deep cut in the wrist. The other back-seat passenger was very fortunate to survive the car crash without injuries. As soon as I noticed what immediate took place, right before my eyes, I immediately park my vehicle on the curve, while it was still on with Head-lights and warning signals on, and one of my class-mates, driving behind me, followed soon after. I called 911, despite the driver's insistence on not letting me do so, which is because he had beer with him and seemed that he doesn't want the police to know that he was drunk while driving. I got the ambulance to come over, with the help of my class-mate who knew the road very well. While me and my class-mate was trying to regulate traffic, with the help of a truck driver who came to ensure everyone was okay, a couple of Police cars, a fire truck, and about five ambulance vehicles came soon after the call was made. Me and the class-mate stood around, because we both are witnesses. The parents of the students who were the victims of the accident came afterwards, and thanked us for standing around to help, and I offered to help with anything I could. The police received our information, and we were dismissed.

I told my grandmother about it, and I slept on the couch. I felt better when I woke up. I never thought to see something like that to occur.

Damn man. Seeing something like that always scares the shit out of you.

Same thing happened to a mate of mine when he went out with some friends, but luckily, like the people in the two cars that you saw, no one was too seriously hurt, or worse.

But at least no-one died in that accident, let's hope it doesn't happen again eh?

Happened to me once as well, it's something that stays burned into your mind. In my case it was a little diferent, a taxi driver cut in front of an old lady, forcing her to drive into a pole, while he drove away as fast as he could. The old lady wasn't as injuried as she was scaried, and almost suffered a heart attack, luckly it was broad daylight and lots of other cars stoped nearby to help, because I had no idea what to do in that situation.

Thanks for the replies. I'm keeping in touch with the girl that was in the accident via Myspace. Herself and her friend are okay, according to her. She doesn't seem to let it bother her that much, but she's talking about it with me, and she's beginning to think that it may have been her fault in someway, where I replied that there was nothing she could've done to prevent it as it wasn't her fault that the accident started.
