Tales of Hallum: Duet of Blood is the fourth installment of the Tales of Hallum series. Duet of Blood focuses on the exploits of the Death Merchants during the Zutan Civil War, which takes place in 1734 in Zotta, Gratu. As the forth installment, DoB connects some of the cast and events of the first two installments (Love of a Lunar Maiden [Allana, Gratu - 1712] and Fairy Tale Autumne [Autumne, Gratu - 1714]) with the cast and events of the third installment (Chronicles of Tana [Tana - 735-755]).

In Gratu, magic reigns, old fashion weapons still rule the day (though advancements in guns and machines are starting to phase out archaic wapons), and many races live in harmony. Zotta is the most northern country in Gratu. Half of Zotta is the mainland. The mainland has a rolling piedmount surrounded by mountains in the east and west. The second half is a series of northern islands, many of which are sub-arctic. Zotta is populated by humans, vampires, demons, angels, and dwarves (as well as some smaller minorities). The civil war that is the center of the RP is between the human government and two militaristic vampire clans. Stuck in the middle of this chaos is the main party, the Death Merchants. They are a ragtag bunch of mercenaries and freelancers that go about hunting bounties as if they were simply gathering some from inventory for a customer.

Now, for the character creation sheet. Note that you don't have to join the main party. You can control characters in the other three factions. The Death Merchants will often interact with the other factions, and the other factions play such a large role that their central members do get significant 'screen time'.

OK. Now, note: as of now, there is a map being made. This map will help orient players to Gratu. It will contain dozens of cities and towns. For now, players may want to leave areas like background empty or incomplete until the maps become available. The maps will be posted no later than Thursday, May 1st.

Armor/Clothes: She wears a red frilly blouse with long sleaves and a v-neck. She wears tight black overalls that go down to just above her ankles. She wears blacks shoes--nothing specialized, though sturdy.
Magic Discipline(s): None
Spell(s): None
Skill(s): She has mastered several types of ninjutsu and she has come up with several ways attack paterns using her many weapons. She very fast, but all her gear slow her down a bit. Still, she has trained to be nimble with all that weaponry on her. To fully utilize her potential, she has trained a lot in weight lifting.
Personality: She is very bossy and will not listen to other's opinions unless she wants to hear them. Her stubborness is deadly, but she will quickly abandon a cause she finds to be lost. She is very selfish and puts herself first, though she will go out of her way to help employees. She has a cannot-lose attitude about life and battle.
Romance(s): Money. She loves money so much that she would actually marry a golden coin if she could.
Ambition(s): She wishes to be so rich that she can retire before she is thirty.
Preference(s): She likes horses, money, mild dishes, green tea, money, scenic woods, money, and attractive male vampires. She hates the poor, people that get in her way, being poor, spicy food, alcohol, ugly people, and old people.
Appearance: She is about 5'10". Because of her training, she is very muscular for a woman, resulting in a larger body size than most woman. However, she still looks feminine. Most people at first simply think she's slightly chubby. She is averagely endowed. She has slightly tanned light skin because of her outdoor training. Her hair is long (to shoulder blades on her back), brown, and braided to keep it from being a distraction. Her eyes are also brown. Her face is no soft but not jaded--cocky is the best way to describe it.

Background: Kunoichi was born in Sharr into a poor farming family. However, desperate bandits from Autumne attacked her village and her family's farm. Her family was killed, and she was later taken in by Sharr's Special Forces to recieve training as a new program to better utilize orphans. She proved to be especially skilled, but she retained her individualism. She grew up in the institute with few posessions, which vexed her. When she intentially failed the graduation test, she was kicked out and left to her own accords. She went around using her skills to make any money she could. She ultimately met Oracle and Cloak when she was 19, and they together created a new bounty hunter team that feed Kunoichi's greed and Kunoichi and Oracles' shared eccentric ideals.

Weapon(s): A specially designed whip that is resistant to corrosive substances. She will often coat the whip with homemade acids to increase its effectiveness.
Armor/Clothes: She wears the standard Death Merchant black jacket, which includes a hood, goes down to the ankle, and has long sleeves. ((Note: Everyone in the Death Merchants will have to wear this [sleeve length can be adjusted], except Kunoichi.)) Underneath, she wear, more or less, a red bikini.

Spell(s): Dove's Eye (she can witness scenes currently occurring from miles away) and Hawk's Eye (she can take a hawkeye-view of an area to scout for an enemy from mile aways)

Skill(s): She is a skilled contortionist and whip user. She has a haphazard knowledge of medicine and toxins/acids. In her free time, she likes to mix herbs and substances to create new concoctions. Her medicine generally works well... when she doesn't confuse one of her toxins for medicine.
Personality: She is a full-blown nut job. She keeps quiet, but that's because she's aware just how nutty she is when normally talking. She uses odd phrases that sometimes don't make sense.

Appearance: She is about 5'2". Her shortness and childish attitude makes her seem younger than she is. She is well endowed and this is purposely exploited by Kunoichi in order to attract customers. On her back, Kunoichi has carved in all the bylaws of the Death Merchants. On her wrists are scars from her cutting herself. She wears the DM jacket to cover these scars (even though she could easily heal them). She was born with a pair of white wings, but she surgically removed them herself as she didn't care for them. Her eyes are blue, and her hair was once blonde. Now her hair is a light red, thanks to a blood-based dye she made. She has a younger face to match her body size. She is very thin and light, even given her size.

Background: Oracle was born into a normal angel family in Goldengate. However, her rebellious attitude led to her run away when she was seven. It was then that she created her fake name (she has never told anyone her birth name). She made it to Helsing, where she ran into Lady Schambregella. Lady Schambregella, as if on a whim, took in Oracle and paid for her entry into Helsing's magical academy. Oracle initially wasn't interested in magic, but she became mezmerized by Schambregella's seeing magic, and thus Oracle became a seer. After graduation at age fifteen, she became a traveling fortuneteller to get by. During free time, she studied medicine and the arts to creating toxins. At age 19, she met Kunoichi, who she immediately fell in love with. Along with Cloak, the three formed the Death Merchants.

Weapon(s): Fallen Angel MacNamara (a black sword that looks very dull. It is a little under three feet long. Its metal coating negates spells that it makes contact with.)
Armor/Clothes: Along with the Death Merchant jacket, he wears lots and lots of black cloaks, hoods, cloth masks, etc. Ultimately, he has no visible flesh or eyes and mouth. How he sees and properly breathes is also a mystery, as his clothing is thick.
Magic Discipline(s): Unknown
Spell(s): Sigma Blade (enchants the blade with a green, aethereal light. It can then seemingly cut anything without resistance, despite being very dull)
Skill(s): He has superhuman strength, speed, and reflexes. In a sense, he is a killing machine. He can combat a master swordsman using two swords with one and still win in a short amount of time. He seems to defy human limitations.
Personality: He has none. He grunts and speaks a few words when necessary. He never has actual imput, and he merely follows and actions upon command.

Appearance: He looks like a giant black bundle of clothes with legs and a sword. His many clothes add to his initial bulk, whatever that may, and thus he looks huge. Otherwise, he has no other significant features.
Role: Ally
Background: His past is unknown. At sometime, he came to possess his blade and became a famous wonderer. He helps only when asked, and when ordered to do something he will continue to commit to the order until ordered not to. He met Kunoichi and Oracle a year ago, and he thus ended up joining them. Because Kunoichi does enjoy battle, Cloak is often banned from fighting, as that would distract from the fun. The most he does is get thrown into a group of enemies to confuse them and lower their guard.

Personality: Dante is a lady's man. He will do anything to impress a woman who has captured his eye. Not to say he isn't a guy to like multiple girls. This can often lead to conflicts when two girls fighting each other have both caught his eye. He is also very shallow in this aspect. Generally he is very level-headed and quite nice.

Appearance: Dante is about 5'9". He has long black hair which he keeps tied in a ponytail. He is rather pale. However, under his very formal exterior clothing, he wears a kimono and keeps a headband in traditional Flaran fashion. He is most of the time, very polite however, and apart from his fangs, appears very charming, though docile as well.

Background: Dante was born to Elizabeth Ashcroft, the prodigal daughter of the Ashcroft clan of vampires. Dante's mother was very neglective, and thus, he had to fend for himself for most of his childhood. The only information he could gai of his father was that he was apparently from Flara. Dante eventually left on his own when his mother died of alcohol poisoning. He developed hatred for his father from this and later, a hatred for most men.

Weapon(s): Telepathic tripwire, as always. He also conjures weapons out of thin air.
Armor/Clothes: Hakuya wears a simple white kimono at all times. He does not wear shoes. He also wears a strange necklace that holds amulets. he currently only has one amulet. Though there are six holders.
Magic Discipline(s): bardic magic
Spell(s): Nothing harp. (A harp he can make out of his tripwire which has different songs written for it. These songs have different effects on their targets. I'll post a few of the specific ones later (as clix might remember, there are quite a few.)
Songs: (there are a lot more than this but these are some of the core ones)

Nocturne of Souls: An attack of soundwaves that grows more powerful with the more people he kills. Sounds like the moans of the dead. Causes the target to become incredibly disoriented and unbalanced. Even to the point of falling over unconscious.

Bolero of Empathy: A strange song where Hakuya actually absorbs the sound around him and projects hit outward. Allowing those around him to hear what is up to 100 meters away.

minuet of tranquility: Hakuya's first song. He wrote it during his time in Tana, it can cause a person to continue fighting despite mortal wounds. It does not cure these wounds, but the person can simply ignore them while they are in earshot of the music.

theme and variations of despair: Allows Hakuya to block elemental attacks, there are different variations of this theme depending on what element is being used against him.

prelude of fear: An eerie melody that is developed to trigger a deep ancestral fear in nearly all creatures.

Requiem for a dream: Hakuya's teleportation song that allows him to travel between the world of the living and dead.

(those are his old ones, here are some new ones.)

Aria of suffering: An airy, song that uses sounds and echoes from surrounding objects in order to confuse the target and throw them off of Hakuya's true location. Usually played from a distance by Hakuya.

Ballad of Disgust: Causes people to be irritable to the point of lashing out at others. He's used this to assassinate groups by having them turn against one another.

Skill(s): Hakuya, being an assassin has the ability to move with an obscene amount of stealth. He is also devoid of life signs at all times. He is very adept at torture as well. Both taking it and administering it. Hakuya can teleport, and seemingly leave the planet as it were. He is completely monotone in his emotions, showing only a strange happiness at all times. He also seems to have an aura about him that makes animals avoid him.
Personality: Hakuya, like oracle, is a nut-case. He is a sadist, and a mass murderer. Though he only kills what he is contracted to kill. He is very spacey and can stray off onto random tangents at times. Making it very hard to hold a coherent conversation with him. He is always smiling though he can show strain in his voice when he speaks of certain topics. Specifically Dai Gratu.

Ambition(s): to obtain amulets for his necklace/unknown to all but himself
Preference(s): Hakuya, in this form, does not seem to have much problems with anything. He does have a thing for tea though.
Appearance: Hakuya is about 5'4". He has long white hair. Graying eyes without pupils. His skin is even paler than that of Dante. Most notably, Hakuya is completely indistinguishable from most attractive women. ((A point which he will flaunt.)) Other than this, Hakuya does not have much notable features. He always carries a hunting bag with him, the contents of which, remain unknown.

Background: After leaving Tana. he sailed the seas and arrived in Gratu some few hundred years ago. He met a sorceress who separated him into fragments. Hakuya, or at least, the portion of him which retained his original appearance and memories. Became very spacey and much weaker. over the years though, he has trained back up to be nearly at his old level of competency. He has made a contract with the Ashcroft sisters to kill all those involved in the death of Nosferatu Ashcroft, and all members of the Allanan black market as well.

Weapon(s): ((Note: Blades that are currently in his posession will be in bold. He will only start off with two as in the previous rp.))

Shikomo the Lightning Blade: Allows the wielder to summon down bolts of lightning as well as perform the lightning slash.

Kiori the Fire Blade: Allows the wielder to create wave of fire as well as perform the fire slash.

Ryoko the Ice Blade: Allows the wielder to cause a small blizzard around them as well as create large icicles to launch at the opponent.

Andari the Earth Blade: Allows the wielder to create a small earthquake.

Ichimori the Blade of Light: Allows the wielder to create a small Holy shield around them.

Maruki the Blade of Darkness: Allows the wielder to create one shadow clone of themself. While this technique is being used Riku's strength will be split in half. Meaning that the shadow is half as strong as Riku when he is not using the spell. The same go's for Riku himself.


Armor/Clothes: Riku usually wears a long sleeve, button up, blue collard shirt. His pants are a simple black cloth and his shoes are a pair of newly purchased brown work boots.

Wolf Berserker: Like all Zamuras, Riku is subject to the wolf berserker. This form comes about when Riku loses contact with his blades. In this form his hair will shift to bright silver, his eyes will go milky white so that not even the pupil is visible, and his hands will become like that of wolf's claws. During this form his speed is more than doubled but his mind is completely lost. Infact this berserker is a seperate mind altogether. Many a time, it has tried to escape after a battle, only to be subdued by Katsu's magic long enough for Riku's blades to be returned to him.

Skills:

Riku is far faster than any normal human, unless of course they are gifted with time magic. Few have ever beaten him in a foot race, and even fewer have tried.

Personality: Fun loving and a bit of an idiot at times, Riku is just the kind of guy you don't know what to expect out of.

Romance(s): Alcohol, Riku is currently single.

Ambition(s): Settle down, start a family, so on and so forth.

Preference(s):

Likes: Alchohol of any kind and women who display a certain degree of class, and perhaps a bit of fighting capability.

Dislikes: People who destroy good booze. Overly prissy women. Men who don't treat women with respect. Letting go of his swords.

Appearance: Riku is almost the spitting image of the former hero of Tana, Kenju Zamura. His hair is jet black and somewhat long and unkept, occasionally hanging below his eyes. His eyes are a kind of deep saphire blue that often entrances the women he speaks to. He stands at roughly 6' 2" and weighs 175 pounds. His skin is smooth and tanned.

Role: Party Member

Background: Riku grew up in Allana a fairly normal lad until his 13th birthday. It was at this time in which he woke up and found several blades now strapped to his body. When he asked his mother about this she revealed to him the true nature of his birth. His mother was at one time married to a Zamura who's berserker had been sealed by the blades. Unfortunately that seal had broken and he was never heard from again. However this had not occured until after Riku's mother had become pregnant with him. She then told him what her husband had told her. That the blades were the only way to keep his mind intact, that to lose them would mean the loss of himself and everything he held dear, and that he would be responsible for sealing the other Zamura's who were now victemized by their berserkers. By the time he was 16, he and Katsu set out on this quest. Unfortunately though, two years later, Riku lost contact with his blades in a small town and ravaged through the area. He was doomed to hang from a noose but was saved by Katsu. Unfortunately the silver haired warrior was only able to return to Riku two of his much needed blades. The others were auctioned off. Now he works with Katsu in Korplin, doing various jobs while hoping to someday recapture his family blades.

Class: Swordsman/Animus Mage

Job: Swordsman for hire

Weapon(s): Torrent Blade, A huge sword roughly 7' in height. It is only wieldable by Katsu as it has been enchanted just for him. The enchantment makes the blade weigh about as much as the standard katana though he often uses his manipulation of the wind to further decrease this weight.

Armor/Clothes: Usually seen wearing a long sleeve, button down, black collard shirt. His pants are made of a simple black cloth and his shoes are a pair of mildly scuffed black boots.

Magic Discipline(s): Animus Magic (Wind)

Spell(s):

Flight

Hurricane Sweep: Allows Katsu to create an incredibly strong burst of wind by sweeping the broad side of the blade infront of him as if it were a large fan.

Cyclone: A twister like attack that creates just what it's name implies. A cyclone. The cyclone can be anywhere from 3', to lift up party members and push objects out of the way, or 20', to send enemies flying.

Skill(s): Though he often prefers flight and his blade looks like it would weigh him down, Katsu is actually quite fast. Perhaps not as fast as his friend Riku, but he holds his own.

Personality: Sarcastic and a bit of a jerk at times, Katsu is known for having somewhat of a short fuse. Beyond this however, he is an all around good guy.

Romance(s): Like his friend Riku, Katsu is currently single, though he does hope to improve on this aspect later.

Ambition(s): Katsu hopes one day to own a house of his own, start a family, maybe even open up a school for other animus mages.

Preference(s):

Likes: Having a good time, more sofisticated forms of liqour such as wine and brandy though he does occasionally enjoy a good beer, flirting.

Dislikes: The cold. Honestly he despises ice and even has a hard time with cold beverages. Hates men who don't treat women with atleast a certain amount of respect and will often fight them for it.

Appearance: Katsu is quite tall, standing at roughly 6' 4". He weighs roughly 173 pounds, without the sword strapped to his back. His skin is smooth and tanned. His eyes are a kind of icy blue. His hair however is what sets him off. It is long, stretching almost the entire length down his back, and blazing silver. Why its like this, no-one has a clue.

Role: Party Member

Background: When they were young, Katsu and Riku were great friends and they have remained such today. The two were often seen wrestling in the fields or flirting with women that were usually far out of their league. Once, when they were each twelve, each of them tried to woo a twenty four year old woman together by saying, 'If you put us together we're the same age as you!' Nowadays ,despite his blatent objections, Katsu has spent most of his time in Koplin with Riku trying to scrape by on various jobs that required their 'skills'. He despises the cold weather there and has been begging Riku after every job to consider a new place of business.

Job: Independant Mercenary/Bounty Hunter

Weapon(s): Double-Edged Knight’s long sword with a golden hilt and pommel. A Octagonal ruby is imbedded in the hilt of the sword.

Armor/Clothes: Heavily clad in black, Zack wears an ebony, hooded cloak which often covers his body from shoulders to feet. Underneath, Zack wears chain mail over a brown leather vest. Zack has no sleeves but wears a black leather glove on his left hand. Zack wears long black pants with deep pockets.

Magic Discipline(s): Dark Magic

Spell(s):

Intangible Darkness: Zack manipulates darkness, moving it and altering its intensity where he desires. Zack is adept enough with this skill to be able to change at will the lighting on a battlefield, or if he wishes, only in the vicinity of his opponent.

Tangible Darkness: A wide span of darkness creation and manipulation. Zack can control the form and solidity of darkness with extreme finesse. This power is extremely open to Zack’s creativity, and is not restricting in its potential.

((Is it alright that I made this open? Going for more of a general manipulation for combat support rather than powerhouse spells with specific effects.))

Fool’s End: A technique deserving special note. An assassination technique made specifically for killing weaker warriors who are unable to defend themselves, or others whose guards are down. Zack utilizes the darkness and lack of light inside the human body (usually the intestines) and grasps control of it. Once Zack has a grip on the darkness within the victim, he rapidly expands it causing the victim to explode violently and gruesomely. Used often for purposes of psychological warfare.


Skill(s): Though not the fastest, Zack is quick on his feet and fast with his sword. Zack has extremely flexible and strong wrists and forearms for finessed movements with his blade. Zack also has ample, but not extraordinary muscle.

Due to his wings, Zack also has the ability to fly.

Sounds good. You did leave job "blank" (it lists the my description of the catagory). For magic, yes, spells don't really need incantations or such. The two weaker and looser spells can practically be performed without a second's hesitation, but this instant power comes with the draw back of being pretty weak in offensive capabilities. But, for the stronger one, a charge time is needed but it pays off. During the RP, you can have him learn a few other spells, like perhaps Bauckram (Rockwell used it against Dolnagius. The user's shadow violently yanks the user into the darkness to teleport him out of harm) and Profano.

Sidenote: This should be fun... Zack can technically kill Oracle without much effort. Because she was born with wings, she possesses the fetal weakness to dark powers even though she removed the wings. ...And, of course, Oracle doesn't know any offensive light powers to exploit Zack's weakness. Hopefully the rivalry will be short lived.

Her dramatic change almost raises the question if she is the real Ronia Freyja.

Personality: He is savvy, wise, and a bit comedic. He likes to make light of the situation. However, work is no laughing matter, and he takes battle serious. However, when bored, he will sometimes accidently lower his guard. When this is exploited, he chides himself for such a mistake.

Background: Ending of Sho (abridged version): After Aino was defeated, Sho trained himself and eventually used his spirits to cross the ocean. When he arrived in Gratu he mainly wandered around, until he met the woman who became his wife, who turned out to be half-angel. They eventually settled down in Zotta where they started a family. Their pasts lost with the flow of time.

Beginning of Shoshuo: Shoshuo was an average boy living with his family, until one day, the day he turned 16, he got a letter addressed to him from, “Sho Timus”. After he read the letter and found out about his blood line he started trying out the powers that were supposedly in his blood line. When the people in his village learned about what he was doing he was thrown out, and his family was ridiculed and thought of as nut-cases. Shoshuo started training himself using the methods recorded in the letter. He now tries to live a simple life, while helping people like Sho had.

At first I was a bit thrown back that you're using Sho 2.0. However, reading the whole profile, things seem well organized and logical. Thus, I have no further complaints. Plus, Shoshuo will fit right into the part for the next RP's (Moonset Requiem) main party, Mond's Bandits.


BTW, just to let everyone know, every ToH has five main characters. However, it's not until post-game that they are generally decided. For the first RP, Love of a Lunar Maiden, the five main characters were Christopher Silvergate (human knight), Faust Johann Goethe (human thief), Emerald Goldengate (human monk), Samantha Braisen (merman swordswoman), and Laura Lenora (not playable human psychic).
Fairy Tale Autumne starred Yuki Kuroda (vampiric onihi fighter), Sven Reinhardt (human thief), Dionysus Solus (human necromancer), Christopher Silvergate (human swords master), Ettore Monsù (human Chaos Sage).
Chronicles of Tana starred Aino (deity berserker/fighter), Buna Thespis (demon mimic [villain]), Morgan Mistrude (human *insert various classes here*), Kenju Zamura (human swordsman), and Rockwell Howell (werewolf Chaos Sage)

So, already, DoB has two main characters, Kunoichi and Oracle. Those that would like to take up the three other spots, know that you must become part of the plot, not just a player in the plot. Now, you can't be too intrusive that it seems like something is off. You merely have to use your character as naturally and effectively as possible, run a lot of the sidequests (which there will be many of as I'm too lazy to develope an entire plot by myself). More or less, the best examples of this were Kenju and Morgan and just how well Bolts and ULX used the mechanics of the story to make the plot theirs, not just mine.

Sturm (a three-way pole (it can break into three segments) each of them has poisonous barbs in it and is semi-sentient.)

Background: Integra is the eldest of the Ashcroft sisters, and quite possibly the strongest. Though she doesn't do much in battle purely due to apathy. She is not particularly interested in the revival of the Ashcroft clan, she is more in tune to nature than both her sisters and holds a very deep connection, she is also the only sister that knows the dark secrets of the Ashcroft clans history.

It begins with Victoria throwing bombs at the enemies in rapid succession to effectively blind them for the next few minutes. Next, Beatrice uses Fliegen to knock the opponents into the air, whereupon Integra freezes them, then while in the air, all three sisters attack in a bombardment of all their weapons simultaneously barraging the frozen enemies.

Class: Trapper. Drift is known for ensnaring foes, and restrains from killing them while keeping them in check to be killed if necessary. He is fairly talented at defense against physical weapons, as well.

Job: Mercenary; tries to stay localized to areas to build a reputation and increase his fees, but has been driven from various areas for illegal activities.

Weapon(s): -Snare whips: These whips were designed by Beck, as a result of the ideal weapon to help him work over years of jobs dealing with whatever weapons he could hold onto at the time. The creator was quite skilled, but never paid for the whips, and killed by them shortly after making them. The whips are key to capture, due to their unique design. Based around a simple whip, the flexibility is compromised by separated into sections by hollow chutes of metal, between each of which lies a four-pronged ring of blades, each prong being a small, sharp triangle, the ring of which is angled down like a fan. The tip of the whip is capped with a sharp, longer blade which prevents the dividing cylinders and individual blades from falling off the whip. These whips serve to wrap around the foe, and are controlled by magnetic spells. The rings of blades can spin freely to rend the flesh of one captured if it is necessary to weaken the foe further, and can also be used to threaten a captured foe into resisting no further, less they be ripped apart.
While it is common practice for Drift to use but one of these whips, due to their great length and heavy metallic structure, he carries a total of eight, which have to be stored in a large pack he totes everywhere.

Armor/Clothes: Behind his whips, Beck rarely sees danger of injury, so he wears no armor. His clothes are meant to be somewhat practical, complicated only by his own desire for a personal style. His boots are rough and thick, dark brown across the top, hard sole tipped with a thin metal plate at the toe and heel. His pants are rough and black, somewhat tight-legged, but loose enough to keep mobility unimpaired. He wears a tight short sleeve brown undershirt with a loose neck underneath a somewhat leather-like dark jacket, also black, with red trim between the different sheets of fabric. He wears this jacket open in most weather, even when fairly cold, and usually rolls up the sleeves to just below his elbows.

Magic Discipline(s): Animus. While it was intended for Beck to study a diversity of magic as a child, he took specifically to magnetism, and slacked in most of his studies. He eventually was made to leave the study on lack of progress. He worked on his own to further understand magnetism once he began work as a merchant.

Spell(s):
Magnete Dominare- Projects a magnetic field to the user's will in his immediate area. A spell that Beck worked the details for and put together after reading some basics and information in other similar spells. This spell is strongest in areas nearest to him, and is used to control his snare whips, giving them strong gripping power and accuracy.
Megnete Dirigere- Creates a strong magnetic field that diverts affected objects away from Beck, around to his back and behind him. Impressive defense against metallic projectiles, but this spell also leaves Beck's whips at his back, leaving his front open to other types of assault.
Megnete Infagottare- Creates a magnetic field that draws all of Beck's whips into a woven hemisphere about him, which he can then make close and trap incoming attacks, forming a strong defense that is dangerous to approach.

Skill(s): Fair insight into what others think, fairly good at distinguishing when a person lies. Useful in combat against people he knows.
Personality: Beck is somewhat wild, having given up his life with family at a fairly young age. While he loved the lands in autumne, he gave up his home there to forget his all-too-simple past. He's rather irritable and takes offense when people bother him, whether they know better or not. He's grown away from understanding the pain of others, and is self-centered on his own success.
Ambition(s): He is as of yet unaware. Aspirations should be short and of the present; an exciting life is all he seeks.

Background: Originally, his parents hoped he would study magic, but after a few years, he grew bored of text and practice and became too restless to continue wasting effort on. He appeased them by simply making a decent amount of money as a farm hand, but he plotted plans for the future without telling them, and one day, staged a disappearance, changed how he looked, and vanished from the town forever. Since then, he's tried to root himself to different areas as a mercenary, but bad employment has led to him being driven to various places, always further from his home than the last.

Weapon(s): A small short sword that is employed for working tasks but can be used as a weapon, in the hands of someone more physically competent. Christoph also carries a large wooden staff that would appear to be fitted with a gem at the top, but merely has empty space. He finds himself using this more for long journeys forced for travel on foot, (where he would normally ride a horse, if at all possible,) but will occasionally use it as a medium in his magic, particularly when dabbling in tractus spells.
Armor/Clothes: Without the dexterity to carry heavier armor, Christoph wears but the bare minimum under his ordinary clothes; a thin, weak shirt of loose chain mail across his torso that projects him from, at most, being stabbed in a surprise attack. His figure may crumple from the blow, however. This armor means almost nothing against a clean strike from a more standard weapon.

Magic Discipline(s): Runic Barriers, limited Tractus(Space)
Spell(s):
-Shield: A barrier spell that is cast to a specific person, and then maintains fixed shape and moves with the target. Thus, when cast to stay a foot away from a section of the target's arm, it will hover that distance from them whether they move or not. This shield is strongest at blocking magical attacks, but serves well for blocking physical attacks as well. The shield has no weight and thus does not cause adverse effects for the user, except perhaps an obstruction to their own attacks. The shield may grow weaker if the person "carrying" the shield moves far from the caster, and may also diminish over time.
-Barrier: Traditional barrier. These can be cast in varying strengths, sizes, and shapes, and can be further manipulated by the caster once created. They can be moved by the caster, and thrown about as on offense (but will never be sharp, and do not pierce,) and compressed, if forced, to crush inwards on objects. The barriers will break before moving outside of the caster's will, but can be overpowered. Thus, experience has taught Christoph to give his barriers room to move if he fears them being overwhelmed.
-Divide: Tractus magic of an impressive degree. While traditionally barriers are runic magic, by expanding his horizons, Cristoph came to the strongest defense, a barrier of tractus magic. It can only be considered in the sense that it prevents things to pass a certain point; but as Tractus magic manipulates space, this "barrier" does not simply press energy together in a dense packet to repel attacks, but rather divides space on one side from the other; the fabric of space bends and creates a hole in the shape desired, and thus, there is not something that can be "broken" in the traditional sense that barriers can be overwhelmed. The spell is intense, and is thus quite inflexible, essentially impossible to move once generated, or to alter the shape of. Thus, Christoph is forced to use this only as a defense, and only when protecting something is of the utmost importance.
Skill(s): While Christoph is physically weak, even by standards of the average working man, he is decently intelligent to make up for it, and is good at solving problems with an open mind, discovering solutions often overlooked by smarter people constraining their options too much. He is also well-mannered, and tends to never make enemies outside of when he is demanded to in work.
Ambition(s): To continue supporting his family, hopefully earning a steady enough pay on leave to return home to them more often, and have a child, as the first he would have had was sadly stillborn.

Yay, we have 10 party members signed up. Hopefully two more will join to make a good even team of 12. Otherwise Very Hard Mode will be unplayable. Yes, there are different modes of difficulty planned out. Based on the party's decision, the events of the story will play out, as well as the final boss fights. With a 12 man team, the option for a Very Hard Mode is available. Very Hard Mode has an expanded ending, but the cost is high. Our party will largely remain under "leveled" throughout the game. Thus, ally units like Cloak and stronger party members like Daisy may be abused in order to merely survive. I'm warning everyone now to let you all start thinking about your choices.

Now, I have finished the next map. Up next is Autumne, the land of eternal fall.

All four guns are insribed with Spells of lightness(for ease of movement)and many of Sturdiness, making them more than capable of blocking sword blows without nicking or breaking.
Details: To be frank, the Guns are such in name only, as though they work on the same basic principles, they function entirely different. The Grip of each syphons mana from the weilder into the stock, which contains cartidges filled with an alchemic fluid that absorbs and holds said mana. pulling the trigger move an amount of the mana fueled fluid from the stock into the barrel,wich has been treated to be conducive of magic and inscribed with Five series of Runes. the first series, which is where the hammer is is a weak force rune to push the liquid though the barrel. The second is a spell selector, changing the mana in the liquid into a spell determined by the will of the weilder.the third series is of amplifiers, increasing the strength and power of the spell. The Fourth Solidifies the spell, making it a solid "shell" of magic in a long spiral shape. The fifth and last series is of Accelorators, Speeding the Shell out of the barrel at bullet speeds.
Armor/Clothes: Wears A Long Azure and grey longcoat with high collar that nearly hides his mouth, a cylindrical shaped cap, and high black boots. The jacket is inscribed to create a alternate pocket space on the inside, so that he can keep his guns, tools and any number of other items inside regardless of size and weight, without transferring either to the outside. Underneath the Coat, He wears a pair of standard length grey pants, and a tight black shirt. Attached Over his right eye is an obviously Magical long paper seal which he keeps on at all times and refuses to talk about.

Spell(s): (Animus Shot):Most basic magic bullet in Toro's arsenal. it's simply a shot charged with either one of the first or secondary elements of animus magic. effects are straight-forward, fire burns, ice freezes, etc. On that note, sand scatters and blinds and Nature grows things.
(Essence bomb): A shot of un-aligned magical energy, that explodes on contact. The Omicron and Epsilon versions of this spell are quite different from the Alastor and Gae Bolg version, in scope at least.

(Radial):The result of Toro's mediocre understanding of Space magic. Fires shots capable of changing direction in mid flight up to 5 times.

(Radiant Field) a burst of Radials that sacrifice longevity for magnitude by creating a swarm of bullets that swarm around him in a small field, riddling anything that comes close.

(Magus): Shot that bursts bullets in midair or on a surface to create a Magic amplyfying circle.

Skill(s): Inhuman eyesight and reaction time, able to follow and react to things moving at speeds normal people wouldnt even be able to see.Uncommon magical knowledge due to his tutelage. Personality: Calm, Laid back and intelligent. is Blunt, and usually just says whatever is on his mind.

Background: The Weston Family have been alchemists, mages and Blacksmiths as far back as anyone can remeber, specializing in magical weapons. Their name was synonomous with quality and and genius for so long that many noble families to this day still pass down weapons made by them from generation to generation.
Toro grew up in his fathers small branch smithy, Learning the ins and outs of the makings of magical weapons since he was old enough to watch, along with his older brother, 2 years his senior, his mother having died shortly after childbirth. When each of them turned twelve, their father sent them to study at the Academy in Biblos with a freind of his, so they might improve, and bring new knowledge to the trade. for 5 years toro studied there, and when he left, he was considered a genius, second only to his brother ebfore him in alchemy study and inscription.
However, with the modern turn weapons were taking, demand for the Westons brand of specially made and superior customs began to give way for the mass produced guns other companies were making, and try as they might to adapt, buisness continued to dwindle.
Shortly after Toro returned from the academy, His father was Found murdered, and toro was discovered in the smithy, one eye, his arms, and several of his internal organs seemingly badly mutilated. His brother was missing.
The details of the incident are still known only within the Weston family, and Toro refuses to talk about it. He made a miraculous recovery in less than a year, but then bastioned himself into the smithy, and only made trips outside to deliver orders, looking deshiveled and weary, and in fact his customers so progress in the weapons produced , and the ingenious revelatinons in their design caused somewhat of a stir in the community.
Two years after the incident, Toro sold the family smithy and Left, looking considerably more fit and determined than he had two years ago, with Omicron and Epsilon at his side and the experimental Gae bolg and Alastor.
Little known fact: because of his savings of profits during the two years after the incident, the exorbinant price Magical weapons go for, his inheritance from his fathers passing, his fathers savings, and the saleof the smithy and the backlog of weaponry, it is a little known fact that toro doesnt really need to be a bounty hunter, as he is very VERY independantly wealthy.

Background: Wanda was once just an adverage goon in Fort Larki's underground. She would go on drunken rages and rape woman that couldn't defend themselves. However, twenty two years ago, she met a woman who finally stood up to her. Though at first timid, the young mage defeated Wanada, leaving a burn mark that lasts to this day. Wanda chased after the mage and her traveling party. However, Wanda was not able to catch up. Decades later, she met Ronia, who told Wanda the fate of the young mage. The mage's name was Kokoro Hina, who was slain long ago in Draco Castle. Ronia then offered Wanda a job as her subbordinate. Since then Wanda has not left Ronia's side.

She was considered a magical genius, though she did not care for magic. To her, it was all for the praise. She left the academy one there was only one person left that would not praise her. Schambregella never cared for her, though she was always considered the kindest and most generous professor at the academy. Matsu has since become a high-ranking officer in the Chamblee Clan merely to show off her abilites.

Spell(s): Ceacus Facum (uses illusions to distort a target's vision to the point of illusionary blindness), Exercitus Falsum (greats multiple illusions of himself), and Vita Falsum (a powerful illusion that makes the mind believe all other illusions are real. Thus, all damage performed by illusions become 'real')
Skill(s): He is a fast runner and has equally strong upper body strength. While he sacrifices defense, he gains great offensive capablities by combining illusions with swift axe-swings. By combining Vita Falsum and Exercitus Falsum in an ambush, he can kill off his prey in no time at all. His strength is enhanced after becoming a vampire. Though, of course, he has a limited amount of time for fighting because of his vampiric limitations.

He hates to fight, but he hates to see his comrades die and hates to see them soil their hands with murder. Thus, he considers it his role to fight for their lives and innocence. Over all, he is probably the purest person in this whole messed up story.

Background: Like the three generals, he was a normal boy that dissappeared for years. Upon returning to Zotta, he was a strong warrior as well as a man of infinite moral strength. Much of his reasons and past are completely unknown, as well as his relationship with the three generals.

Ahem, as in the last RP I've got swords to pawn off again so I might as well go ahead and get that started.

Right, well there are currently four swords who need somone to take control of them. If you think you would like to control one of these swords then by all means either post here or contact me via some form of messanger. Any swords that go unclaimed until the time at which I have designated them to be 'found' I will make a character for. With that said I expect those that do wish to control one of the four remaining swords to show a certain degree of RP capability. Make sure to chose the sword you want carefully and for the love of God don't pick one thats already been found, Kiori and Andari, that will be grounds for me to just dismiss you from this little contest. He grew up in the Endless Wars, where necromancy was used to lead Autumne to victory against Zotta. However, over the centuries of peace, necromancy fell out of practice. The fire of 432 destroyed part of the Braisen Library, and all written knowledge of necromancy was lost. Thus, except for embedlings, Dionysus alone knows necromancy.
He came to be immortal in a misspell by his friend and adoptive sister Ariadne. At a life-and-death point, Dionysus was revived but bound to Ariadne. They shared the same body, and he would take control of the body at night. The body would actually restructure itself to his old body. The two spent millenniums looking for a cure. Finally, 22 years ago, they finally found magicryst (anti-magic ruby), and they broke their immortality. However, both of them were slain soon after in the Allanan Maidens Kidnapping Incident. With his life once more restored, Dionysus was left alone in the world for the first time in 2000 years. He was originally depressed and suicidal, but he came to accept Ariadne's wish. He wondered around, learning that there was a hit on him by the Ashcrofts. Ultimately, he joined Yuki Kuroda and company in order to save Yuki's friend and solve the mystery around Hehmana, a key figure in the Allanan Maidens Kidnapping. Background: She was born in a village near Machihi. Her early childhood was realitively uneventful. She was the daughter of a successful wine-maker, who specialized in a wine made from Shimahi's hikinomi, better known as Winter's Fruit. When she was only six years old, a group of teenage vampires attacked her village and brutally killed the villagers for sport. Because the Heinlein Clan forbid subjects from learning the arts of war, the village was defenseless. She was one of the villagers fed on by the boys. When fed on without consent, the victim has a small chance to become a vampire. Against the low odds, she survived and became a vampire.
After years of traveling alone, she finally met a boy at the age of thirteen that would travel with her. The boy's name was Sven Reinhardt, and she became tied into the boy's quest to 'save Autumne.' Sven was ultimately kidnapped, and she was left in charge. She recruited several men to her cause to both stop Hehmana and rescue Sven, and she came to realize hidden truths about the workings of fate and nature.

Background: He was born through rape. His mother, already married at the time, was attacked by a gang of vampiric children. The group's leader, who was about thirteen, raped the woman 'for fun'. Ultimately, Ms. Juliani became pregnant and gave birth to Amette. Ms. Juliani and her husband could never stand the child, and the village was equally cruel. To save himself, Amette discarded his emotions.
As an adult, Amette found the work of an underground killer to be all he could do. He vowwed to continue his work ethic developed on his childhood farm: He would never give up until the job was complete. He also adopted the idea of working for anyone that was willing to hire. He became the top professional of the underworld, and this gained him fear and respect.
He ultimately was hired by Sven Reinhardt in order to end the curse of Autumne. While others would consider it a joke, Amette took the job. Even after Sven was kidnapped, Amette continued to travel with Yuki. While he never really opened up, he did finally find a friend in Yuki, who was the first person to ever express interest in his life. Thus, he does not possess the same speed as Amette, but his greater brute strength and weapon's size balances out the lost of speed.
Personality: He has become a very studious leader. He is able to study battles and plot strategies in a few minutes. His strong personality easily raises the morale of soldiers. He is still the quiet type, but he is capable of giving powerful but short speeches.

Background: He was raised as the tenth heir to the Pulaski throne. His low position in the family condemned him to live a life just a step above that of a commoner. He recieved no praise, no education, and no servants. However, his oldest sister, Liliana, took pity on the boy. She tried to educate Leno, but Leno found learning to be something he could not stand. Soon, he found the blade, and his destiny was decided.
When only still a boy, he left his home to become a mercenary. Soon into his new career, he was hired by Dionysus and Yuki. Shortly, Leno dragged his sister into the Autumne Crisis as well. The two traveled with the group, and they helped resolve the crisis. Upon Liliana's request, Leno joined the military after the crisis. His talent helped his rise a few ranks shortly. However, to reach general, he had to spend hours a day, sometimes entire days, training and studying in order to become both a perfect soldier and strategist.

She became involved in the Hehmana plot twenty years ago. She was approached by her lover Ronan Oaks to join Hehmana. She was reluctant, so she skillfully negotiated a tiral period for her to decide. Right when time was nearly out, she met Yuki's group, and she escaped with the group to oppose Hehmana. She ultimately realized the true danger of Hehmana, and she came to see that her lover was wicked. When Hehmana did fall, she spent years trying to "save" Ronan, though the two eventually went their own ways once more when they became duke and duchess of their provinces.

Ok.
1. Your class would be Animus Mage.
2. For magic, you'd have just Primary Elements plus (I guess) either Time or Space (pick one, since you indicated Tractus).
3. ...Your spells are pretty poorly drawn out. For example, Animus magic can't be used to heal. Plus, some of the names lack any fanciness. Fireball and Whirlwind are fine, but more creative names (as well as reworking their purposes) would be nice. Also, since you are a mage, you should add water magic as well. You can also add in the spell Animus. Finally, as your 2nd discipline, you can add in some Tractus magic. There are some examples of Tractus magic in some of the other profiles if you'd like to get some ideals. Likewise, if you'd like to expand your Animus spells, you could look over Matsu Kai (top of page 2).
