My 360 is used, I got it off E-Bay, it's been behaving for around a year, and it's gotten the fabled R-ROD, and I need to know if I can still send it in to get 'fixed'. It was made in 06-08-14, or August 14th, 2006. If I can't send it in under Warranty, is there anyway I can get it fixed without having to replace.

Also, I'm trying the Towel Trick as you read, and I'd like to know that, when it works, will I have to wash, rinse, repeat every day?

If you don't have the warranty, it costs $100 to have Microsoft fix it for you.

Now I've personally got the Red Ring, and did nothing and it hasn't been acting up since. So maybe it's nothing

However since you're doing the towel trick, my suggestion is to do it every time it pops up. But then again I'm not expert on this, so my opinion might make things worse.

So yea, that's all the helpful suggestions I can give, other than giving it to Microsoft to give you a new one :D

I've gotten the ring 3 times and it all happened in one month last year but it still works like new. I got a new one that is elite and gave that one to my little bro and it works fine for him.
