Allow me to explain. Remember the shitty PC I used to have, over a year ago? It's still with me, and why did I get it replaced? Because it keeps shutting off every time I'm into a game longer than five minutes. Me and my dad weren't exactly aware what the problem may be, so we assumed it was the mother board after closely examining it for any damaged pieces, which wasn't any. My dad eventually got a new computer, which I am using right now. Recently, my Power Supply died, so I replaced it with the power supply from my shitty pc...well, I wouldn't call my old pc "shitty" any more, because after finally playing Phantasy Star Blue Burst online, and a bit of Deathmatch Classic...it happened again...the same shut down problem...
It came back to taunt me (or rather just shut down every five minutes into a game), and...wow, I wouldn't exactly say the money my dad spent was a waste, but damn, will he have a field day when I tell him the actually problem.
So yeah, the FUCKING power supply was the problem THE WHOLE FUCKING TWO YEARS! The powering on problem also came back, but not as bad as before.
Which comes to this: POWER SUPPLY REPLACEMENT! I need recommendations of a new, and working power supply, powerful enough to run something less demanding than CRYSIS (I have no intentions of even ATTEMPTING to run that game on my PC), and maybe good enough to run Call of Duty 4, WoW (so a friend can play) or Team Fortress 2.
My computer supports 115 Volts (as the red thing on the back next to the power switch indicates), power is needed to run two fans, a video and sound card, along with a DVD/CD-RW player, a floppy, and a hard drives (which reminds me, I need a new and reliable hard-drive too, to replace the 160GB that broke on me).
Specs, as recorded from CPU-Z recently, below.
