Title: Fall Down
Description: RMXP project

Harosata - January 9, 2008 09:54 PM (GMT)
Like Xero, I'm gonna attempt a game with RMXP. I might not be able to complete it, but I will be messing around with it from time to time. All I mainly ask for are people to sign up so that I know which characters to put in the story and hopefully influence the story. No limitations, chooseable as boss, NPC, or character. Also, will need a lead character; if no one claims this, then I'll be default. Also, send in your skills for animation.

By the way, the title, Fall Down, is not final.

Signed-up:
Harosata(Hero)
Hazzardous(Hero)
Fireyone(Hero)
Anonymous (NPC)
craig(NPC)
Bolts(NPC)
Animerose(NPC)

Requirements: Simply a sheet, at least a pose, regardless of positions.

---

Story (In Progress):
An epidemic is draining even the strongest fighters in TFS of their strength. When the symptoms grow worse and the epidemic doesn't seem to let up, several TFSers must investigate the source of this sickness and put an end to it. (if anyone has a better story idea, IM me.)

Battle System: Currently, it will be a Sideview and Active Time one. Due to this combo, it'll be hard to place in scripts like multi-hit or battler shaking unless I have to modify it. Results panel, however, is default.

Menu System: Currently default, but am most likely to include party system in it. If anyone wants me to spice it up, say so.

Movement System: The player character can move in 8 directions smoothly and will change animation while running. Also, my modification to this script keeps the person looking left or right and has a standing pose when not moving. In events, however, movement is default.

Music: MP3-wise, I wouldn't have a problem finding it. However, if anyone wants me to stick with midis to save space, say so. Also, if anyone wants me to use the Random Battle Music script (random music for battles), say that as well.

Scripts: This part I'll handle.

Demo:
Tech Demo (Requires RTP)-No story. Fire and Cross Cut Skills are used to demonstrate Cast Delay and Team Casting.

Question: Just what kind of sprites do you need. Full running animation and whatnot or just enough for the battle system?

Harosata - January 9, 2008 11:36 PM (GMT)
Basically, just your sheet. I'll convert them into the walking and battle sheet from there. Of course, it would make sense that those participating in battle would need specific poses.

This would be an example of the battle sheet and the pose type, which you don't have to do:
user posted image
Standby
Hit
Low HP
Defend
Moving towards target
Leaving target
Attack 1
Attack 2
Skill/Item cast
Victory Pose
Dead

If you're an NPC or boss, you need one standing pose at minimum, movement optional. If you want to be the lead character, ladder climbing is recommended. There is no size or style limitation of the sprites.

Can I be an NPC? Sprite in the signature.

Hazzardous - January 10, 2008 08:46 AM (GMT)
I'm not one to play eiether villian or NPC in RPG's...so I'll sign up as one of the characters, not really the leader, but one of the folks who's trying to solve the mystery (As I was a fan of Myst and still am -_^)

Expect my sprite sheets via PM Haro, as you know my policy on public appearances of sprite sheets. But I can't pass up this chance to have my character in an RPG comic....so sign me up! Oh, and if anything is missing from my sprite sheet that you need, just PM me back and I'll do what I can...later's!

craig - January 10, 2008 04:06 PM (GMT)
Npc Please I think that I don't the right sprites for this.

Fireyone - January 10, 2008 08:33 PM (GMT)
Curious, If I send your sheet as a Hero, what else will I have to do for it?

Harosata - January 10, 2008 10:16 PM (GMT)
For a Hero sheet, simply make sure it has poses similar to those of the battle sheet. Movement is optional. You do not need to set up a battle sheet, but if you want to narrow down the poses, it'll help.

In other words, just simply send the regular sheet you use.

Yes well my main problem is as simple as a lack of sprites so I might enter as just an NPC unless I manage to find some help.

Harosata - January 14, 2008 11:21 PM (GMT)
...I see a lack in posts.

Anyway, an issue came up. While I was searching for more scripts, I soon came across http://www.rmxp.org/forums/index.php?topic=5853. Not knowing what version number I currently possess, I wonder which battle system I should use.

Edit: The updated version of the sideview allows me to specialize battlers. I guess that means I can allow more people to be heroes regardless of number of poses, and I might make some bosses animateable.

Hazzardous - January 15, 2008 11:08 AM (GMT)
If it's doable, than make it so Harosata -_^

Your also lacking people too...I can't be the only hero folks...

Fireyone - January 15, 2008 08:51 PM (GMT)
Sorry I didn't post back. I kinda forgot X.x

Either way like I said on AIM yes, I'm willing to be a Hero.

Harosata - January 17, 2008 11:01 PM (GMT)
Good news people. I have found a combo of scripts, meaning that there needs to be no lead player, aka on the party 24/7. However, an idea of a starting player is still needed.

Here are the minimum and optimal requirements for the positions:

Heroes:
Minimum-Movement (Left, Right)
Optimal-Battle and Running, Climbing

NPC:
Minimum-Standing Pose
Optimal-Movement

Bad:
Mimimum-Standing Pose
Optimal-Battle
