I've done some thinking. Thinking about my past, about some of the stuff I did to piss people off.

Last night, I woke up at around one in the morning. I slowly shuffled my way into the bathroom, and looked in the mirror. I don't know why I did it, or why I woke up. I just felt this need to do it.

I looked in the mirror, and I didn't like what I saw very much. What I saw was an asshole, someone who deliberately pisses people off just for kicks. I saw someone who honestly took joy in seeing others fail. And I saw what he had done.

He had pushed away a good friend, he had verbally abused another person, he had acted like a complete dick to just about everyone he knew. And for a brief moment I saw a smile on his twisted face.

I saw that I didn't want to be like him.

What do you guys think? Did I do the right thing, looking in the mirror and facing my past mistakes head-on?

It's a start, but actions speak louder than words however. If you wish to not become what you see in the mirror, changing your behaviors or mannerisms are the next step...

I plan to, believe me, I do.

I woke up this morning, remembering what I did last night, and I actually felt like I had the best sleep ever. I was nicer to my mom and dad, and I definitely tried to be nice to my sister (though her grogginess and ill-at-ease attitudes in the morning could do with some improvement, as well).

If I do anything to offend anyone from now on, I'm gonna make sure I make up for it and own up to any mistakes. That's for sure.

why would you see me in your mirror? your description sounds simmilar to the discription of how I usualy am during spring and summer (i'm not goeing to go into why) I understand what you feel.
