Title: My Grandmother.

My mother received a phone call a couple of days ago from my Grandmother, who wasn't breathing okay. The next day, my grandfather called and told my mother that her mother was taken to a hospital due to her heart attack. My Grandmother will need to undergo surgery as her illness seemed serious. My mother spent $500-$1,000 worth of a plane ticket and flew to Florida to meet up with my sister and drive to Boston for my mother to be with her mother. My grandmother just entered surgery 16 hours ago as of 10 PM Monday. If she does okay, she'll go under intensive care, and will be released in a few days, then my mother would have to care for her for a couple of week, which would be after Christmas.

I'm pretty depressed about this situation, however I didn't let that become a burden to me too much as I've stayed at my friends for a couple of days to relieve the stress.

I hope my grandmother will be okay, as I would like her, my grandfather, and my whole family to be there when I graduate.

Just hope for the best, give all the support you can, and comfort those in worry...that's all one can do in these situations...trust me, I know...

That sucks, hope things get better for you and your family.

Well, I got news from my dad that my Grandmother is getting better after the surgery, I feel relieved. It's a shame that they (Her, my mother and Grandfather) can't join us for Christmas =(.

Even if they both can't be there, what matters is that your grandmother pulled through. Don't feel horrible if they can't make it to X-mas. Stuff like this is something no one can predict...
