Title: You Spin Me Right Round...
Description: Round 2 B
Streea Barra - November 28, 2007 01:36 AM (GMT)
The six burst through the door, and fell down upon the large ring before them. The large circle had a hole down it's centre, not unlike a ring, except the only problem was that all the walls sloping down to the door at the bottom were lined with spikes. Long, spikey, painful spikes. Even the door was covered in them. Didn't seem too dangerous. At the other end of their circular platform stood heir gracious host. It stood there, coated in black, hands in its blazer's pockets as it stared at them. There was no face to speak of, only a grotesque masquerade mask of a raven where its head should be, covering its entire head. The eye holes were blank, nothing stared out of them. The beak came down in a sharp curve, darker than night, yet all could see the shine coming from it. It nearly appeared nothing more than a statue, before it spoke.
"Greetings, one and all. I do hope you have been enjoying the festivities. My apologies for not greeting you in person, but I usually find that people are rather... agitated at first. I welcome you, to my game. For the most part you seem to be doing rather well, though remember every game has its rules. Mine are simple. There shall only be one victor, and to the victor will be the antidote to the poison that each of you has in your bloodstream. I wanted to make that point clear. As well, I shall give you a hint for this current round, as I rather feel sorry for you. Upon my exit, the room shall spin. To make it stop, a sacrifice to be made, which will contract the spikes and allow freedom. I bid thee, adieu." Not a noise, not a light, nothing showed that the Raven had even been there before, or that he had left. The group of six were alone now, to think over what must be done.

((Well, no one else is posting so I'll go first))
Verloren looked at the room and sighed, rather morbidly impressed with their host, "I must say, our host has quite the taste in interior decoration." he spoke in a way that one owuld be unsure whether he was joking or speaking with all seriousness due to the subject. He turned to the rest of the 'people' who had survived the last room and said, "Well then, what are you all planning then?"
Clix - November 30, 2007 09:41 PM (GMT)
Kunoichi smiled back at Verloren's question. "Well, I guess I'm planning to wait for one you idiots to kill someone that's not more, or I'll have the kill one of you. Unless someone starts to do some productive in the next couple of minutes, I'll make my move. In the meantime, I'll just hang out over here."
"Oh, yeah, by the way, consider attacking me this round a death sentence. Since you losers wouldn't try to play the game outside of the alotted rules, you took away all the fun in this. As such, I will show you the reason I'm imfamous if you provoke me."
As she spoke, one of her long sleeves were coming apart. Threads were reshaping themselves, becoming straight. Shorter threads merged at the seem with the longer ones and soon formed numerous long strands. The course matterial began to refine itself, becoming thinner.
With her not broken hand, she pressed one finger against the thread. She just slightly brushed the thread with the tip of her finger when she pulled back her finger. A few small drops of blood hit against the floor with a slatter from the tip of her finger. Using her clothing and chloromancy, she had successful created some fiber wire, much like Hakuya did with aeromancy.
Athias - November 30, 2007 10:29 PM (GMT)
((Meh, not alot of interaction with the others, but I had to establish Reas' defense and third-power. A flute of summoning.))
When Reas entered the rooms, he fell to his knees and almost cried. Though these were not tears of sorrow, but of joy. Reas was finally out of that god-forsaken white room, and hopefully, out of it for good. Sure, this room wasn't exactly the nicest room, hell it was awful, but it was better than it's predecessor, at least in Reas' eyes.
Once Reas was done thanking his patron gods, The Lord of Stags and The Mistress of the Forest, he kneeled down and began to think. The current fighting arena had quite a bit of potential for abuse, and Reas planned to make the most of it. Unfortunately, the lack of any walls or barriers would hinder Reas' primary fighting style, as it would be much to easy to fall off. Reas shifted his form to one more similar to a human's, the only things that didn't disappear were Reas' horns, which shrunk to a much more manageable and lighter size.
Reas held his hands to his mouth in a manner similar to the way one would hold a flute, and began to blow. For a few seconds, this made no noise, but gradually, a faint, pleasant sound could be heard coming from Reas, which seemed to get louder and stronger until it was as rich and melodious as a real flute, which, oddly enough, he was now holding. It was a beautiful emerald-colored flute, with gold, leaf-shaped decals and gold-rimmed holes. But this was no time for pride, and in the dull light, the flute looked rather plain, so Reas didn't spend anytime admiring the flute.
With a clear, high note, the ground surrounding Reas became covered in bright-pink rose petals, with another note, they began to stir, slightly rising into the air, and slowly orbiting Reas. And with a third note, they shot up and began to swirl around Reas, looking somewhat like a pink hurricane. The petals would hopefully act as a deterent to attackers, making it hard to locate the Satyr, and possibly intimidating them. After all, one of the most common moves of plant-users was razor-petals. Unfortunatly, Reas wasn't powerfull enough to summon petals of that magnitude, these petal weren't sharp, they were jsut petals. But that being said, Reas felt sorry for anyone who entered his defense, they would soon see what the Satyr was capable of.
With one last note from the flute, a sword of energy appeared in Reas's free hand, and almost as quickly disappeared behind his back.
deidaraofthestone - December 1, 2007 01:28 AM (GMT)
Hakuya simply observed th earchitecture in the room and looked to Kunoichi "interesting, isn't it, kunoichi? Seems like a fun place in a paradise, you know?" He then looked around the room and announced to all "Okay all, Now then, I'm an assassin as most of yo uknow, so, I'd like to do business with someone here, whomever can offer me... something of interest... I shall help that person take out someone this round. Sound good?" He said, his innocent-looking smile never leaving his visage.
Oushi - December 1, 2007 01:41 AM (GMT)
Oushi sighed, "It's a shame that poison in our blood forces us to take action, I have some great ideas for what to do, but I'm afraid none of them work if I have to deal with them myself. However, I can do this." Oushi formed a dome over the pit in the center- just in case.
As the floor beneath him began to spin, Oushi formed a floating ice platform beneath his feet, allowing him a much more steady form of travel than a spinning platform. "I doubt a spinning platform is trouble enough for you guys, so here, allow me to make it more challenging. Oushi raised his hand above his head, and formed a ball of water, which he threw down to the arena, soaking it and making it a spinning as well as slick surface, "Venge, Veloran, just endure, nothing will happen to you guys. However, I'm well aware of the effects of this poison, so I'm afraid I'll have to join you on the arena."
Oushi hopped off ice and onto the spinning platform, the water beneath his feet formed to ice and helped him get balanced once more, "Alright, Venge and Veloran, I'm have trouble deciding between the Goat-kid or the pacifist girl."
Streea Barra - December 1, 2007 01:43 AM (GMT)
The room finally started to spin, it's acceleration slow at first, to the point at first it wasn't even noticable. But now the spinning was enough to make people lose their balance, and if you really wanted to, you could run in place probably, work off some carbs from that key you just digested.
Clix - December 1, 2007 02:13 AM (GMT)
Kunoichi, unalarmed at the situation's gravity, much less the room's spin, had begun bargaining with Hakuya. "Hakuya, how does a rematch with Cloak sound? You two always seemed to have some deeper bound, sort of like something written by destiny. If you make it out of it, you will have the rights to use Ens to find him. ...She is the greatest seer in the world, so it'll be no trouble for her. She'll be waiting for you if you do survive. You'll have known of what happened her and of my will. Anyway, if you don't care about Cloak, she can find you whatever riches or persons you could want."
"Anyways... I'm getting sick of these little dicks that think they are better than me. I'll amit my injury, so I'll need your help. ...You can fight me later on. With us both using the same attacks for now, it'd only be a stalemate for us to fight, leaving both us open to these bastards'. Let's save a duel between us for the finals..."
Dehgan - December 1, 2007 02:42 AM (GMT)
Verloren, due to his rather intresting situation of currently using a suit of armor as a vessel, wondered just how to deal with this spinning room as it began to speed up. Deciding that he should take action lest he be cast into the pit to be impaled by spikes, which he presumed their host had done something to so that they would damage him spiritaully. He focused energy to the bottoms of boot of the armor, and attached himselfr in some manner to the ring, so that he may still move, yet not be tossed off into the spikes to die a slow and likely painful death. He glanced at Oushi, "If I may state my personal opinions, I do not particularly like the girl who seems to believe she is so much better than the rest of us." The armor shrugged, "That, and I'm somewhat curious as to what the Satyr is capable of."
deidaraofthestone - December 1, 2007 04:12 PM (GMT)
Hakuya simply glanced at Verloren, and then looked back at Kunoichi, The never would have liked a rematch with cloak.. but.. not right now.. maybe some other time... he wanted something else as a part of a deal if one was to be made "Shiny things?" he said as an open ended question to anyone in the room that wanted his help.
Clix - December 1, 2007 04:38 PM (GMT)
Kunoichi then smiled. Already she knew something Hakuya would love that was shiny. "Hey, remember Ens's crystal ball? You can have that. It's incredibly shiny." She had to get Hakuya onto her side of the matters, no matter what. She couldn't let Venge's group to gang up on her. She needed one more though... "Hey, Reas, let's call a truce. I'm injured, your injured, and those three want one of the two of us dead. What do you say?"
deidaraofthestone - December 1, 2007 04:49 PM (GMT)
Hakuya contemplated this for a moment.. "okeedokee" he said, "though if things get rough, I'll betray you in a snap." he said, his usual smile on his face.
Kozmic Kat - December 1, 2007 09:12 PM (GMT)
((Late post is late))
Pre-Spinning
Venge couldn't help but wear a small grin as he strutted into the room, looking his host's statue directly in where the eyes would of been. He kind of licked his lips, he did love a challenge.
He laughed half heartedly, at the feeble attempts of the others, the ones not his "Alliance," of course. He cracked his head, rolling it some more, stretching his legs and his arms. It seemed he would need to call upon his P.E. skills later on in life after all. A shame really, he quite loathed it.
He jumped down once Oushi had put the water down, making the "track" slick, getting his bearing he heated the area at where his feet were, the water evaporating just in that area where he was, have your cake and eat it to, they said.
Spinning
He listened to his "friends," and thought out all the ways things could turn out in his, as he put his hands in his pockets and walk/jogged in place. Due to how tall he was, he was always able to to run faster and easier, with his definitely longer legs.
It turned out patience was a virtue, the annoying narcissist and her friend in valor had, as he suspected, made their little allience, and as it were, Reas would most likely try and join up with them, he was the lone wolf in this little equation. Venge laughed, flipping his chain out from where he had put it, gripping it and swinging it. "Looks like we have a orphan in this little family, now." He was of course, talking about Reas. "We might just need to amputate him from our lives!" He cackled at his own dark humor, he was such an evil man, he figured.
He slapped the chain against the ground once for intimidation, but did nothing with it. He silently breathed in, turning to face him and walking sideways, he blew his fire at him, to try and burn away the petals surrounding him.
deidaraofthestone - December 1, 2007 10:35 PM (GMT)
Hakuya stared at Venge's strange action and looked back to Kunoichi, then shrugged as if awaiting orders. Due to the spinning of the room, he used a tiny bit of aeromancy just under his feet to levitate a few inches above the wheel, he simply didn't feel like walking was all. So he levitated along with the wheel as it spun.
Athias - December 1, 2007 10:52 PM (GMT)
"A fire user eh? I should have guessed." Reas smiled to himself as the fire began to spread amoung the petals, until he was no longer surrounded by a twister of petals, but of fire. And what a fire it was, despite the maelvolent man's corrupt flames, his petals were enough to turn the fire into a beautiful, pure blaze of bright orrange. Interestingly enough, the petals didn't burn out, but continued to burn long after they should of shrivled. These petals came from a rose, but no ordinary rose, it was a rose native to Reas' home-forest, which was, incidentally, right next to a volcano chain. To survive near the volcanoes, almost all organisms had adapted a way to survive in the heat and flames, and this particular rose had petals filled with so much energy, they could burn for days, at which point, the fire had generally worn out. Infact, Reas himself had developed a way to survive so close to the chain, pyrokenisis.
As the blaze grew wider, hopefully engulfing Venge, Reas darted out of the Blaze. an opening appearing in front of him to let him escape, and disappearing almost as soon as he exited. His flute in hand, or erather, in mouth, he let loose a rich, cheery note. Inside of the infeno, glasses of wine appeared out of nowhere. If, they could be considered wine that was, as they contained almost 90 percent alcohol, more than enough to make a nice little blast. The fire spread to the Glasses, and almost instantly, they exploded in a blaze of fire and glass.
Reas dashed towards Hakuya and the annoying kunoichi, knowing that they were his only chance of survival. He held up his hands, to signil good intentions, and as he drew near, brusquely said, not asked, "Join up with me, or we will all die."
deidaraofthestone - December 1, 2007 10:54 PM (GMT)
Hakuya chuckled a bit at the declaration made by Athias, he then said fine, the constant spinning of everyone was somewhat entertaining to him so he was in a better mood than usual.
Kozmic Kat - December 4, 2007 03:27 AM (GMT)
Venge was all fine until the glasses exploded, he then swore. Disregarding the flames, he flipped up his chain, using his speed to hit the glass shards coming for him. He grunted as one impaled his right arm, one of the last ones, so he could simply just dodge the remaining ones he couldn't hit.
He stepped out of the flames, unhurt by them. His hair flaming, he picked some water off the ground as he walked forward, flicking it in his hair and putting it out, without first burning his hair into a spikier cut. He made sure it was fine, before looking to his right arm, there was a large shard of glass in it. He took it out, blood coming out of the would. He put a finger to his tounge, and took it out. Placing the finger on the wound and heating it up, he ran it from the top of the scar down to the bottom of it, making a large hiss as steam came from it. His head quirked to the side, as the wound became nothing more then a scar. He rolled his arm around.
"That hurt." He muttered, patting down his burning clothing. He picked up his chain, and by now Reas was about at the others. He kind of growled, how crafty this man was.
Athias - December 4, 2007 10:26 PM (GMT)
Even with his temporary allies, Reas knew taking out his enemies was going to be a tough job. His allies consisted of the injured, cocky girl everyone, Reas included, hated, and the crazy ninja. And Reas's foes? A suit of armor, who would be impaired but not useless by the spinning platform, a cold-hearted Ice-user who knew his advantage on the field, and his current opponent, the cocky-yet-deadly fire user, with that god-forsaken chain.
The biggest thing was to avoid over-extending himself, and to avoid acting rashly. Perhaps even more importantly was paying as much attention to his allies as to his enemies. They probably wouldn't be any problem until after the other three were dead or defeated, but that didn't mean he should ignore them for now, not at all. First of all, he had to make sure that were doing their fare share of the fighting, if they couldn't fight, they were useless, making it harder for him. And if they could fight, they would need to be weakened sufficiently until such a thing was troubling for them, so that Reas could defeat them in the end.
Lastly, Reas had to be careful, he was the one everyone noticed, which meant that he'd probably be the first to go. So, to ensure his survival, he'd need a plan... just like the one in his head right now. Reas almost grinned, but that might give it away, instead, he did something completely unexpected.
"All this thinking i giving me a headache," Reas announced to no one in particular.
Another not came from Reas' flute, identical to the one he had used just seconds ago. And, in his hand appeared another glass of wine. Reas took a large sip from the glass, practically draining it, then blew on his flute again, filling up the glass once more.
"Nothing like a glass of wine to cure one of Ill's," said the Satyr merrily.
Oushi - December 5, 2007 06:38 AM (GMT)
"Indeed," Oushi chimed in, "Pass a glass over here, make it two for both Venge and me"
The water underneath him formed to ice, lifted him up some then placed him back down, next to Venge. "Well, looks like you've already made a friend, Venge."
Oushi turned attention to Hakuya, "Heh, don't tell me you'll be fooled by her lies. Did you not hear out host? There will only be ONE person to receive this antidote and survive this ordeal. She's pulling you into her trap, she's using you, promising you shiny things so you'll offer your loyalty to her, however..." Oushi grinned, "In the final round, she'll try to kill you. Kill you in order to keep her shiny things, in fact, the only way I see you getting this crystal ball, and all other shiny things she may 'promise' you, is to kill her yourself."
Athias - December 5, 2007 09:00 PM (GMT)
The conversation was getting interesting, and, actually, just where Reas wanted it to be. A thin smile spread across his lips as the Ice-Man proved his heart was jsut as cold as his powers. Turning ally against ally? That was low, Reas would have to make sure he didn't go to far, but that didn't mean he should stop the man just yet, no he'd let him continue for a bit, and see where the conversation yet.
Somewhere, deep down inside, Reas hated himself for this, but that feeling was dwarfed by his paranoia and need to survive.
A familiar melody emited from Reas his flute, summoning 2 more glasses of wine, they were of an average substance, a bit stronger than Reas', which was barely more than grape juice, but no where near as strong as the explosive stuff. Reas slid them accros the ground towards Oushi and Venge, anglign them so that the spinning platform wouldn't cause them to stray in the wrong direction. The Satyr had no worry of the two using his wine against him, as he could unsummon it as easily as he could summon it.
deidaraofthestone - December 5, 2007 09:14 PM (GMT)
Hakuya simply smiled at Oushi. "Loyalty, me? that's a laugh. By swearing my allegiance to Kunoichi, I'm merely going to help her out instead of actively trying to kill her. I think she knows this too." he then turned his head over toward Kunoichi "Besides, if it's the two of us that make it to the final round, there's something I've been meaning to test on you, Kunoichi." He then smiled and looked back at the others. " I even said to her, if things get rough, I'll turn on you in a heartbeat. So no worries, at least that's what I think. I am only my own ally, after all."
Oushi - December 5, 2007 10:49 PM (GMT)
"I see." Oushi said with a pout as he took the wine. He swirled the liquid around in its glass, secretly watering it down, and every now and then a bit would spill out. "Well then, I propose a toast to Reas, may this last meal of yours be a valiant one." By the time Oushi was done, the wine may as well of been a glass of water, "Ah, I seem to have spilled most of my drink, oh well." Oushi gulped the wine down quickly, wondering what Reas had spiked it with.
"Now then, I think we've wasted enough time trading words." Oushi tossed the glass of wine behind his back and shifted into a defensive position, "Lets get on with the sacrifice." he said grinning.
"Venge, this is going to take some concentration on my part, so watch my back, unless thats too much to ask." Oushi said as he began conjuring his magic. It was a bit of a lie, while Oushi certainly wasn't as flexible when performing this trick, he wasn't helpless, it was a precaution against the chance of Venge betraying him.
From the walls surrounding the spinning platform, five icy blue circles, like portals, appeared. What they held inside was a surprise, and Oushi had no intention of ruining it too early.
Kozmic Kat - December 5, 2007 11:59 PM (GMT)
Venge could see it in Oushi's eyes, he knew of course Venge would eventually betray him, of course he would have to. Venge could not live if Oushi was well, to put it bluntly, still alive. Though the time Oushi would betray him, or Venge would betray Oushi, were later on in this game, Venge hoped. He didn't exactly see it coming earlier then atleast room 4. Assuming of course, there were rooms for everyone's death except one.
Venge flipped his chain and had slapped it to the drink before it even reached him, he wasn't about to drink something poisoned. Venge would of loved to sit down and take a breather, but the spinning made him unable, his head started to spin, even though he knew he would have to concentrate. Venge gritted his teeth and made the pain in his head go to one center, and soon diminish it down to a small point, where he then simply forgot about it. Venge watched Oushi's back carefully, taking time to observe everyone. Doubtfully anyone could get behind Venge or Oushi and make their move.
Athias - December 6, 2007 01:25 AM (GMT)
Reas' smile instantly faded. They had refused his wine. Under any other circumstances, Reas would have charged them right then and there. But, doing such a thing would be acting rash, and acting rash would get him killed.
"Do you honestly think I poisoned that wine?" Reas asked sincerely, "I'm a Satyr, such a thing would be the lowest of the low. Something not even I would resort to unless circumstances were even worse than they were now."
"Ah well," sighed the Satyr, "I shouldn't let good wine go to waste."
Without even needing to blow his flute, Reas changed the contents of the wine, making it more Grape-Juice than anything else. In a second, bloodmoss had popped up on the juice infront of the Ice-user, sucking it in. And, in another second, a tall, but thin, bambo-like plant grew out from the moss. It was a yellow-brown plant, with a dark brown top. Reas snapped and the top of the plant lit up with flames, which didn't spread to the bottom part, oddly enough.
With another note from his flute, a glass of 'wine' appeared in his hand, it was the explosive stuff this time. Reas threw the glass, which sailed through the air, and hit the flaming plant dead-on. Shards of hot-glass propelled towards the Ice-user as the wine hit the flame, intending to impale him.
Dehgan - December 6, 2007 01:33 AM (GMT)
Verloren had stood by quietly, seemingly forgotten by the other guests in the room, and really didn't personally mind. But now, he decided, was the time to take action. Verloren began to walk forward on the spinning platform, whatever kept him attached to the surface still in effect. He slowly began to come closer to where Venge and Oushi were currently standing. Verloren stooped a respectful distance away form Oushi and whatever he was planning to do, and began to charge his own little trick. As for who he was planning on using his little trick on...well, time would tell.
Oushi - December 16, 2007 11:45 PM (GMT)
With a flick of his wrist, the water surrounding Oushi flew up in front of himself and Venge, hardening into ice before the flaming projectiles could reach him. As the chunks of glass lodged themselves within the ice, the ice once again reformed into a liquid. "Come now, don't' tell me you think this situation could get worse than this. You are about to die after all, if it were me I'd be puling out all the stops." The water congaing the glass took the form of a javelin and hurled itself towards Athias, the tip of it shaped in a deadly point. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some epic magic to deal with, and it requires more concentration than you three could muster combined."
Athias - December 17, 2007 12:04 AM (GMT)
((STOP CALLING MY CHARACTER ATHIAS. I'm REAS, REAS, R-E-A-S. Sounds like 'Race', but it's spelled 'Reas'))
(Also, for the record, that attack wasn't so much offensive as it was defenisve, it happened relativly quick, but most people would realise I was setting something up and move out of the way, breaking focus.)
Reas wasn't sure if the Ice-mage was merely cocky, or if he was trying to get him to act rash, but the man was powerful, there was no doubt about that, so Reas decided to take the defensive, and wait and see what the man was preparing. The satyr twirled to the side as the ice-javein flew passed him, barely dodging it, feeling a rush of cold air as it passed by.
Reas decided to save his best tricks for when he'd really need them, instead, he would fall back on his superior speed and agility to avoid his enemies attacks. Waiting for the right time to strike.
Kozmic Kat - December 28, 2007 04:24 PM (GMT)
((Song played while writing this: Oogie Boogie's Song))
"Ohhh! How delightful, how insightful! I could use this to my advantage, to their disadvantage~! A subtle grin and a fire around the bend, they aren't of my kin, they couldn't see it coming and defend! A subtle snake I am, just because of a little incident long ago, and now I'm going to put on a show!"
Mr.Venge, melted the ice in front of him to get a better view of the javelin. When in flew past him he pulled up his hand and snapped, and a large fire crept from the back of the javelin, exploding it into a puddle of water, the fire coming up on his Reas's heals, growing and moving quite fast, trying to trip him up and make him fall them into them.
Mr.Venge let out a devilish cackle, self-proclaiming himself a fiend as it were, he flipped his chain out and flung it at Reas's feet, another attempt to trip the boy up. His grin stretched across his face, a full set of fangs showing, as his little cackle erupted from it. The chain flew fast, it flew hard, all to trip up little Reas.
Athias - December 31, 2007 03:04 AM (GMT)
The heat caused by the fire behind him sent chills through Reas' back, well, that or the cold, shallow pool of water which now covered his feet. Reas shifted most of his attention to Vene, jsut in time to see him throw that freaking chain at him, hew as getting pretty sick of those thigns, especially since he had already destroyed one.... Actually, he had forgotten about that moss-ridden chain, he'd need to keep it in mind, it could come in handy later on.
Athe the moment However, Reas' main concern was the new chain. The water would make friction almsot impossible to build up, so he couldn't try to stand his ground, and the chain was moving to fast for him to bind himself to the ground. So... in lack of that, he would bind himself to the chain. A Reas' leg became covered in stone, which spread to the head of the chain, binding his leg to it. Reas took a deep, nervous breath in as the chain yanked him forward, sending him reeling towards Venge, praying to his patron god that is plan would work.
