Hello all, and welcome to the OOC/ sign-up for my RPG "The Etreo Chapters." The actual RPG will most likely begin on Thursday.
now then, let's get this sign-up underway.
Name: Warning - setting is that of a fantasy RPG, set in our world's equivalent to the roman empire's era, and chinese imperial times.
Age: Please be reasonable with this. We don't need any 3 year-olds are 90 year-old mortals. They both smell.
Gender: Male or female, of course.
Sexual Orientation: Hetero, homo, bi, etc.
Species: Unlike Tana, Etreo is more diverse, humans and demons both exist, though weren't exactly on the best of terms, there were also elves, vampires, and all sorts of other species
nationality: characters will all be from somewhere in Etreo. nearly all forms of transportation do not exist... and unless some character managed to come across the ocean on a board. *which I doubt* I don't think they could have reached Etreo. Eastern Etreo is mostly barren plains and cold deserts, it has some forests and jungles to the south and some arctic climates to the North, most of it is uncivilized, with mostly people being from various nomadic tribes. Though there's one major city in the strip of land connecting East Etreo and West Etreo. West Etreo is more European, think Ancient Rome.
Class: Just about anything will do. With your class, tell what kind of weapons, skills, spells, and etc. Keep in mind, the technology in this one is about that of the first century A.D. it uses if it is not selfexplainitory. Also, please no god-moddish classes or futuristic classes, like a gunner or something like that (Note: there are no explosives in this time.)
Weapon(s): Be creative. You can have just to average wespons, or something special and custom. Remember, nothing over to top, like somekind of instant-killer blade.
Armor: Be creative. It doesn't really need to be armor, but more of what you are wearing. No unbreakable armor from the gods, or something like that. oh, and keep in mind, MODERN CLOTHES DO NOT EXIST. wear things like togas, chinese outfits, kimonos, tribal clothes, and other ancient stuff. Dai Gratu smites those who do not follow his dress code.
Spirit Class: Foundation Elements, Common Elements, Divine Elements, Emotions
Spirit(s): Be creative, again. While more common spirits are aeromancy, aquamancy, etc., you can be more creative. Try thinking up interesting ways to make sure of an elemental power. ((see section below for more info. on spirits))
magic class: elemental magic, sacred magic, chaos magic, time magic, runic magic
spells: unlike spirits, spells are only known by people existing in the magice cross, *which I'll explain, to the best of my knowledge, in a moment* pretty much, people from Western Etreo know magic, while people from Eastern Etreo use spirit. Think up creative ways to use the various classes of magic, though most are self explanatory, you can add various twists to them.
Skill(s): Be creative, give descrition, blah, blah, blah. Such thinks like physical traits, like natural agility, should go here.
Apperance: Just so we have a feeling of what you look like.
Background: What kind of character doesn't have a background story to tell? I'll tell you, either the lame or odd, vague characters. So, you don't really need one, but it would hurt to take a second to make up something.
tribe: *if any* you can create your own tribe to have come from, if you are of Western Etreo blood, as I will introduce NPC tribes and enemy tribes later.
now, to describe Hallum. For those who don't know, hallum is a fictional planet created by Clix, it exists in a parallel universe from our Earth and was created by the deity Dai Gratu. Hallum is still young in these days, the inhabitants are still somewhat archaic in traditions and do not know of the other continents outside their own. This RPG will take place in Etreo, who's map I shall post in a moment. Etreo is Hallum's largest continent, taking up over 67% of the planets landmass. it is two large bodies of land to the East and West, with a small land bridge connecting the two sides.
next: here's the explanation of magic and spirit:
Magic: Magic is learned from mana that is released from the magice cross, which lets-off underneather Gratu and western Etreo. From absorbing mana from nature, an individual can learn a varity of magic spells which they can then use at anytime through the use of self-made mana. However, only 83% of humans have the ability to harnest mana. And, for those outside of the magice cross, natural mana doesn't exist, so they can't learn spells unless they migrate to Gratu or western Etreo. Now, master spellcasters can leave the magice cross and still use magic. Magic is permanent.
Spirit: Spirit is gained from ether that is released from the spiritus cross, which lets-off underneather Tana and eastern Etreo. Spirit is hereditary, like a gene. So, an individual's spiritual powers depend on its parents' powers. Now, at birth, ether is absorbed to activate the spiritual selection process, meaning, at birth, ether decides an individual's spirit. Outside of the spiritus cross, ether is nonexistant. However, ether is simply needed to select the spirit. If both parents have the same spirit but have their child outside of the spiritus cross, then there's no need for ether to select: The child will automatically have its parents spirit. If one person with spirit mates with a foreigner outside of the cross, then their child would take on the spirit of the single parent with spirit. In fact, many royal families in southern Gratu are decedents of immigrants from Tana and Etreo that kept their spiritual powers to this day.
Type of Spirits:
Foundation Elements - Earth, Wind, Water, Fire
Common Elements - Electricity, Nature (Plants), Sound, Psychic, Sand, Ice
Divine Elements - Light (Holy), Dark (Shadows), Time, Space, Raw (non-elemental spiritual energy)
Emotion - Anger (sort of like a beserk effect), Fear, Sadness (emergency/last-minute super spirits), Happiness (healing and such), Disgust
magic class:
Elemental Magic - spells that have elemental properties on par with spirits. However, Divine Elements and Emotions are not included here.
Sacred Magic - angelic magic, ranging from light spells to summoning spells. This also includes healing magic.
Chaos Magic - demonic magic, ranging from dark spells to destructive spells. This also includes raw magical power.
Time Magic - spells that affect the world around the user. They can manipulate time and space.
Runic Magic - basically, if it doensn't fit in the other schools, then it is here. Some types include necromancy and seal magic.

Gender: male, though it's hard to tell.
Sexual Orientation: asexual, though seems to act more kindly to females than males.
Species: seemingly human. No one's been able to identify exactly, but he calls himself human.
nationality: Northern East Etreo
Class: hunter, a class which specializes in trapping and stealth, basically, they're assassins without jobs.
Weapon(s): He uses a special type of tripwire that he controls with his mind. He can manipulate it with his aura into moving all sorts of ways and thickening/ thinning as he sees fit. the wires can easily cut through flesh and bone and are quite deadly when used in the right hands.
Armor: Hakuya dresses simply and wears a white men's kimono, he generally wears sandals or goes completely barefoot. wear he is from, the white kimono could count as a type of camoflauge, as it is constantly snowy where he lis from, however he has just recently begun to wander away from his home. He now sticks out like a sore thumb.
Spirit Class: air
Spirit(s): levitation, wind blade, wind thrust.
magic class: time magic and elemental magic
spells: teleportation, ice blast, partial teleportation *is able to teleport certain parts of his body away*
Skill(s): Hakuya's biggest natural physical skill is his stealth. He is able to go about silently and unnoticed very easily, in other news, he knows very well how to play the harp.
Apperance: Hakuya has long white hair, pale skin, is rather short, stands about 5'3". looks very feminine, and is often mistaken for a girl. He has gray eyes which have no pupils.
Background: Hakuya came from a tribe in the Northern snowy regions of East Etreo. The tribe kept itself in secrecy from most of the known world, he defected from the tribe and attempted to run away once, bringing along with him his dearest friend, however he failed, and his frien was killed (this made him socially awkward with women as this friend was the only girl he ever knew) after her death, Hakuya began down a slippery slope of insanity and eventually destroyed his tribe. Now he is the sole surviving member and he wanders around aimlessly trying to find purpose in the large continent of Etreo
tribe: lost Sulani tribe, him being the sole surviving member, the rest being dead, the Sulani were a tribe of all men that all had incredibly long long longevity. The tribe could only produce one female that was bred with a randomly selected male who would remain sheltered for their entire life. That chosen male was Hakuya and that girl was his best friend.

-Skill(s): She is very agile and flexible. She is also very seductive. She is also a master of Bajiquan, an explosive short range power combat style that uses a lot of elbow strikes. She is also skilling in using the parasol to trick enemies and strike them with the consealed dager tip.
-Apperance: She is 5'2" with long black hair with a blue-ish tint. Her eyes are a shiny dark drown. Her skin is very light and fair, thanks to her parasol.
-Background: She was raised in the largest city in the mainland of West Etreo. She lived the normal life of an independant courtesan, but she soon wanted more in life. She decided to see what life was like outside of the Empire in the lands of the East.

Armor: Icho is usually found wearing a loose grey shirt of a somewhat high quality cloth though its nothing extremely nice and a pair of black loose pants with a pair of brown boots.
Spirit Class: Holy
Spirit(s):
Holy shield, Creates a spherical shield of light aura around Icho. The shield is tough but not unbreakable and Icho is incapable of attacking while the shield is up.
Holy lance, Icho thrusts his halberd out straight causing an aura to extend from it to a desired length. The aura itself is like that of an extension of the blade.
Holy Seperation, Icho will create a clone of himself out of pure light energy. Doing so cuts his strength in half. The plus side is that there are now two of him.
Light Arrow, Icho holds his halberd vertically infront of him when he does so a large beem of light energy will extend from one end of the halberd to the other forming a kind of bow. Whenever Icho pulls the aura string back he will create an arrow of pure light energy which he can then fire off to the selected target.
Skill(s): Icho is unusually fast for a human.
Apperance: Icho has a lightish brown hair and green eyes.

Background: Icho was raised by monks who taught him the art of using the Holy element. Though he chose not to become a monk himself he is still supported by his many fathers. He is often found traveling the countryside lending his fighting skills where needed and necessary.

apart from that you're good, except western Etreo is really the place that is non-nomadic, Eastern Etreo is tribal. but the magice cross still exists on the western side, meaning the non-tribal peoples use magic and the tribal ones use magic.
though both Icho and Tinnum are approved otherwise

-_- In the Hallum Universe, Necromancy is a type of Runic Magic, not some skill. Magic. M-A-G-I-C. That was decided over 2 years ago in the very first Hallum RPG.

indeed, he doesn't have to be from the west, just means that he's trained there...and is powerful enough to have not lost the power even though he's left the magice cross. (area where mana is found) Hakuya is an exception to that rule in some ways, he's never left East Etreo, nor has he been to East Etreo yet. You'll see why he has that ability later. Oh, and Kenpaki is accepted except for that small factor, good to have you aboard. Welcome to The Etreo Chapters.

you mentioned something about him being strong enough to leave the magic cross and still be able to use magic if someone from east etreo who was weak went to west etreo would they lose the ability to control their spirits?

Yeah. In fact, most of the leaders in Allana (southern Gratu Country made up of several kingdoms) came from East Etreo or Tana and kept their spirits that were passed down for generations. Some of their spirits weren't much, but others were extremely powerful.
Mas Wata family - Exiles of a sandpeople tribe in East Etreo, they made it to Gratu and found themselves to be the only sandpeople there with spirit. With their sand geomancy, they turned the desert region into a thriving kingdom for their kind.
Braisen family - A common trait of the family is curiousity and wanting to know more about the world. So, they left Tana ((and it was a wise move, as we know what happened after the Endless Wars)) and swam to Gratu ((they're merpeople)). There, the colony of merpeople were impressed with their aquamancy, which was just short of Zamza level. They were in trusted with Schambregella's library of magical tomes, and, from there, they formed a Library of Magic. Later on, it would be Lord Creviston Braisen who would finally destroy Zamza.
Flara family - They were also exiled from a desert tribe in East Etreo. They came to in habit the desert penninsela of Allana. There, they combined their fire spirits with some fire magic and chaos magic to become powerful leaders until their downfall to the Ashcroft vampire family.
Helsing family - They were a family that served Oni Akki in Tana, but they betrayed him to the Council of Sages. Knowing they were doomed if they stayed, they fled to Gratu. There, in the large unground cave systems in the Allan mountains, they united the demon races to create their own kingdom. They held a tight grip for centuries with their shadow spirit and photomancy.
Lenora family - They were two clans from Tana who wished to leave the fighting, so they adventured out. Using one of the clan's powerful psychic spirits, they survived the journey and made it to Gratu. They together formed a kingdom of their own. However, over the centuries, the psychic clan killed off the other clan, since they lacked spirits and were considered inferior.
Sharr family - They were a clan of elf chloromancers from Tana who also desired peace. They travelled with the Lenora clan and now forgotten clan, and they settled in the elf colony in northern Allana. With their chloromancy, they improved the forest colony and brought it into a golden age.

Oh and hey lightning EXE..theres a difference about lycans and werewolves...werewolves only change on full moons and are 50% human while lycans stay their state forever because the werewolf gene takes over,so lycanthropes are vicious and more powerful,but they cannot go human.

Specializes in, of course, wielding axes of all sorts with ease. Just using them isn't enough, however, training with axes for years has taught him some techniques the average warrior would gawk at. Weapons like swords and spears are used poorly in his hands, and the only way he could hit with a bow and arrow would be at point blank.
Weapon(s): A large axe made of iron strapped to his back. In case the battle calls for a long ranged attack, he keeps a pack full of 10 tinier throwing axes on his belt.
Armor: A cloth tied around his head to keep the sweat from his eyes. The only thing he wears for a top is a vest crafted out of tough leather. For pants he has a pair of trousers made of the same leather as his vest. He also wears sturdy boots made of the same material, iron kneepads, and a pair of leather gloves, all from the same animal.

Skill(s): Training constantly to master the art of axe-wielding has paid off, giving Shin a large supply of strength, as well as agility. Also, he posses brain as well as brawn. Before he began training, he would read what he could since his childhood, and gained a fair amount of intelligence for it.

Weight: 216 lbs.
Body Type: Muscular. (Not to the point where he's suffocating inside of his pecs or anything like that :P)

Hair color: Blond
Hair Style: To make sure it doesn't interfere with his fighting, he keeps it relatively short and pushed back behind his ears.
Other: A few scars from fights or training incidents. His face is mostly calm, save for his bright eyes which would make him appear to be bursting with energy.
Background: Shin hails from West Etreo. At a young age he found whatever he could and tired to read it. Shortly after he had mastered the art of reading, his father passed away. He had no mother as she had died during childbirth, and he didn't know where any relative of his might be, and he had no siblings. So, living off his father's remaining wealth, he trained everyday so he could start making money as a mercenary. Several years after his father's death, Shin could no longer bear to be in the same house as his father's and left for East Etreo, positive he could escape from any memories from the West that would haunt him. After living in his new home in the East, most of the painful memories have been pushed far back inside him mind, and he makes enough money doing jobs for the townsfolk.

RyouKysler, Lycans and Werewolves are the same thing. Werewolfism is a disease called Lacanthropy. Its named after the first Werewolf that before catching the disease was named King Lycan.

.....There are several things that do need some fixing...
1. ....Well... We've never had dragons in the Hallum universe. ...I... guess it's not impossible. There were no dragons on Gratu or Tana... But, Etreo is larger and such, might be able to house them. I'm currently discussing the matter with SaturnDiva, who is also one of the masterminds behind Hallum mythos. Deidara will have the final say. 2. Deidara would have to make final comfirmations on allowing two enemy characters, especially ones that have higher profile specs. However, things might be tricky to work out. East Etreo is moddled off of Mongolia, Siberia, Central Africa, and Malaysia.

P.S.: In ToH, vampires and werewolves are a bit different. Vampires don't like the sun, but they can tolerate it. Also, crosses don't exist, and water doesn't seem to have any affect on them that's special. Werewolves don't really transform to a full moon. Also, it's not a disease, but an anctual genetic race. They are simply humans with wolf qualities, so they have more body hair, a tail, claws, and wolf eyes. ...So... uh... yeah... they're more like battle furries than traditional werewolves... now that I think about it. ...Which is odd, seeing as the first werewolf introduced into the series was a gay pedophile.

Tallio, umm, if you could modify your profile to match the template I have set up that would be great. As for villains, they're perfectly allowed in Hallum, I can't remember a Hallum RP where i haven't introduced a side villain for the party to fight, however if you want to make these villains, they have to have their own profiles as well. Oh, and as for South Etreo, could you be a bit more specific? like, which side of the dividing point are you on, east or west? those islands to the south and North were more or less uninhabited and now they belong to the Western empire. So yeah, if you could edit it to fit the standards that'd be great, oh, and as for dragons, sure they exist, they'd just be as rare as all get out. we've never had very much crossbreeds in hallum..however a dragon-human hybrid would be ok I suppose..I just gotta say that sounds kinda......nevermind....anyway just fix the profile and then you should be good.

Werewolves are 50%wolf 50%human so the human gene can fend off until certain times when the full moon comes out the wolf part reacts and takes over
Lycanthropes are 75% wolf 25% human so its always a wolf.Unlike the were wolf posture,which mostly stands on two legs Lycans are more of a huge wolf posture all on fours.
SHOOT I FORGOT,werewolves are bitten but lycanthropes are the cursed humans,the cursemakes most of there cells into werewolf cells but how the hell could anyone be sure werewolves are myths.
Trust me a had to do a project on were wolves and Lycans on mythology in school everything had to be accurate...

They are stationed in West Etreo and Gratu, though they will send teams out to Tana and East Etreo for major assignments. They try to prevent the abuse of magic by deities and rulers. Currently, they are plotting to seal away both Oni Akki and Tenshi Hikaru. Schambregella has travelled to Etreo to deal with Tenshi Hikaru.
