Well since other anime's such as Pokemon and Ultimate Muscle has been discussed here I would like to wonder what people think of Adult Swim's newest addition to it's anime lineup "Case Closed" aka Detective Conan which depicts of a 17 year old detective named Shinichi being turned into a kid by some sort of drug that two criminals by the names of Gin and Vodka gave him when he was trailing him.

Now in a 7 year old's body he goes by the name of Conan Edogawa and lives with his karate expert "girl" friend Ren Mouri (It must really suck to find out the girl you've had a thing for loves you back but you're stuck in a kid's body.) and her father Kogorou Mouri who is also a detective. Throughout the 361 episode run Conan will help solve the mystery of the day while Kogorou get's all the credit.

I find it pretty interesting myself, it's a real thinking man's anime that sort of resembles Encyclopedia Brown or even the Sherlock Holmes series. Still I thought I'd ask people's thoughts on this. I hope I got it in the right forum.

I want to watch it, but I don't have a chance too.

I really only watch it out of boredom now. (They took Inuyasha off of weekdays for it. Bahh.)

But it's pretty good, I actually find Conan to be pretty cute, but it kind of sucks to have an adult take all the credit for your work. Not to mention being stuck in a child's body with such a high level of intelligence..

Kind of an average show to me though..

Ive read all issues of teh manga, and have seen teh Japanese commercial for teh video game. But ive never seen teh show. I wanna see it real bad now that ive read teh manga. WAIT THE TOOK INUYASHA OFF?!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, my girlfriend and i love that show!

They only took it off of Weekdays as far as I know, not sure about Saturdays.. (They better not have taken off Saturdays..)

I thought Inu-Yasha was still on Weekdays. Well that's new news to me but I still think Detective Conan is great nonetheless

I think it's an awesome anime they brought over. Too bad Inuyasha off weekdays. But hey, at least Cowboy Bebop is on, right?

I like how he looks as a kid. I kinda wish he'd tell the girl about himself. I see potential in this old looking show.

But the thing I hated about Sherlock Holmes is that of all the possible things it could be, he gets the right one first try. THis isn't a good example, but in hound of the Baskervilles, they find a stick or something. It has marks on it. He is certain they are hound teeth marks cause of the gaps in it etc. Maybe a different animal did it. Since when is he an expert on animals? It's obvious there is something rotten in denmark. MAybe it's something else.

Like I said, crappy example. As long as Conan isn't perfect, and considers other options, I think I'll like it. Just wish it wasn't on as late. I almost feel asleep watching it yesterday. I wish adult swim started at 10. Give me more time to enjoy.
