Title: The end is nigh...
Description: Round 6
Streea Barra - June 13, 2007 02:04 AM (GMT)
Barely any of you were alive now. Six. Judging by how the last room looked... it wasn't meant to be this low.
You walked into the room. Nothing special. It was large, circular in shape, and the walls were pained red. At least, you hoped it was paint. There didn't look like any objective in this room. The Raven stood in the middle, and watched you all come in.
"Lady and gentleman. I bring you a sad news. Your numbers started at a nice number. Sixteen. It has only been six rooms into this total tournament, yet, ten of you bastards have managed to die. I was right. You mortals are dispicable. I made rooms that required logical thinking, and you merely resort to brute force. There is no hope for you. I had planned on toying with you for longer, but my patience has run dry. Hopefully the next batch of subjects will fare better then you could ever hope of." The Raven sighed, turning away from the crowd, well, group now, and walking towards the only exit.
"There are no complicated tasks to be completed. No objective for you to strive for, other than survival. This is what this entire room is about. Whose instinct of survival is the greatest. The last to survive your brutality shall be the victor, and awarded the serum. Thus they prove ultimately, they are the only one who can even consider calling themselves close to worthy of the gift of life." The Raven had reached the door by the point, and rested a hand upon its handle. "I shall meet the survivor on the other side. You may begin" The door opened, the Raven walked through, and when it closed, the slam was similar to that of church bells, ringing at the funeral of maybe a loved one. The final task was at hand. Survival.
Edge - June 13, 2007 03:50 AM (GMT)
Edge sighed as the Raven dissappeared. This whole day was just WONDERFUL. Two of his good friends had died, the alliance was gone, and now he had to kill 5 people in a battle royale or he would die as well.
Wonderful.
Edge decided to waste no time, as he turned to the person closest to him, which appeared to be...Sarkos, and swung a punch toward his face.
Sarkos - June 13, 2007 05:08 AM (GMT)
((I wasn't expecting that))
Sarkos staired strait ahead at Edge's fist.
He completly froze with no attempt to avoid it.
It plowed strait into his face causing him to fall over.
Sarkos quickly sprang to his feet and wiped some blood off his face,
"Why me, I'm the youngest one here, you wouldn't dare kill a child would you?"
He smirked as he said this, slowly walking backwards.
Sarkos knew the raven was going to kill whoever managed to live, its obvious,
making us kill eachother.
Sarkos sprayed an ice path all around Edge, then he summoned an Ice Golem behind Edge.
It stood there with its fists raised ready to squish Edge if he tried to run.
Sarkos made three ice daggers and tossed two towards Edge.
Edge - June 13, 2007 05:18 AM (GMT)
"Hm." Edge thought as he watched the young one spray ice around. "Fancy ice tricks. All I've got is my body, but hey, that's still good."
Edge looked around and sized up his situation. Thinking fast, he came up with a solution.
Edge grabbed...Jared, and hurled him at Sarkos. Hopefully that would take care of Sarkos and the knives, but it probally wouldn't help with either. He just felt like hurling someone.
After this, he turned and kicked the golem. If he couldn't run from it, he may as well kick it.
Finally, he ran toward Sarkos. Hopefully, his throwing would have distracted him long enough for Edge to get a hit in. Edge lept through the air and extended his arm. He hoped to grab Sarkos by the head and slam his head into the ground, face first.
Anime Freak - June 13, 2007 05:21 AM (GMT)
Freak looked at Edge and the others, thinking. Survival huh? He just walks out and said we need to survive, but that is what we technically have been doing all this time. He did say that the last one would be the victor, but that means to outlast or kill the others. Contradictory though, he seems angry at us for being savage, yet he tells s to kill each other. She was getting tired of this, Link and Maddi were gone, Edge wouldn't go down without a fight. The others would be just as desperate. Not wanting anymore of this, but not wanting to be among the losers.
In the end, I guess that all sentient beings are foolish, selfish creatures. We want to help others, but only if it can help ourselves at the same time. I don't think I have anymore that I can learn about human nature, so I'll just have to put my findings to the test. She looked down at her broken hand, it wouldn't affect her transmutations. Pinako would still beat her over the head with a wrench for it though.
Clapping her hands together to complete the circle, she transmuted both arms into a sword and shield. She took up a defensive stance in front of the door that the Raven had gone through, keeping her back facing the wall and watching her front. Only ready to attack if she was attacked first.
Sarkos - June 13, 2007 05:42 AM (GMT)
Sarkos flung himself out of the way of Jared.
However Edge managed to slam his head into the ground.
Without looking Sarkos sprayed ice around the surrounding area, hoping to at least spray some on Edge.
His Golem completly paralayzed(spell) from Edge's retaliation dissolved into the ice path, it moved to the area Edge was standing and shot itself up from the ground in the form of large sharp icicles, in an attempt to impale him.
Athias - June 13, 2007 11:36 AM (GMT)
Crap, CRAP, CRAP!! I can't beleive it... these deadly puzzles I can stand, But I'm not sure if I'll be able to survive a fight with 5 other warriors. I mean, edges partners are dead is dead, as is about one third of the combatants, but still I need to play my cards right, or I'm as good as dead! Maybe if I stay on the Sidelines I can... As Jared was lost in though after hearing the raven's annoucements, he somehow DIDN'T notice edge pick him up and throw him at Sarkos. Okay then, Forget the sidelines, Jared said to himself as he flew, as when you're being propelled through the air, you tend to tsay what you think. "I'm not going to stand for this." Luckily enough, Jared was the one who had the ability to slow things down, and he was able to get rid of enough force that he fell right before he crashed into the wall. Crashing onto the floor back-down still hurt, but slamming into the wall that way would have hurt more.
"If edge tries that again, it will be time for me to bring out my deadlier arts," Jared mumbled as he ran towards freak, "but first, a compromise."
"Hello," Jared said in a rather depressed tone, "I've noticed that out of all of us, you seem to be the least... fight happy. And I'm not exactly the most eager to fight at the moment too. So, while we'll definitly have to fight eventually, I'd like to team up with you... for the time being."
Anime Freak - June 13, 2007 12:14 PM (GMT)
Freak eyed Jared for a minute, trying to see if he was pulling something. "I'm going to assume that you don't wish to fight anymore. I don't think any of us do, but we're not being given much of a choice. Fight and Live, or Stop and die from the poison. We don't even know if this Raven really has an antidote, as he claims." She was sure to keep her guard up during this. "I'll accept you for right now, but don't pull anything on me. I will not hesitate to kill you if that means I can get back home, but only if it comes to that."
She then went back to watching the fight between Edge and Sarkos.
Dehgan - June 13, 2007 06:07 PM (GMT)
Dehgan sighed at the Raven's announcement, and watched as Edge tore into Sarkos and, rather entertainingly, threw Jared at at Freak. He watched as Freak and Jared presumably made a temporary alliance. Dehgan moved away from where the two were fighting and kept away form the others. Thoughts began to race through his head *so, it comes down to this? I was hoping more than one of us could get out...But what if..?* Dehgan glanced around at all the participants that had survived so far. Edge and Sarkos we're already fighting each other, so there was no need to get involved there. Jared and Freak we're apparently taking a more defensive approach. When it came down to the threat level of all the participants, the people Dehgan was most worried about were Edge, Freak, and the Sith Lord, all of whom had proven themselves adept at combat. Another thought shot into Dehgan's head *This Raven see's us a barbaric monsters...what if we proved him wrong?* he spoke quietly to himself, "That's idea's easier said than done..."
SketchedHero - June 13, 2007 08:07 PM (GMT)
The dark figure who had taken his place on the edge of the circular room crossed his arms as the Raven left. He, unlike some of his ignorant opponents, believed the Raven when he said that they would be rewarded with the serum. After studying the masked thing's attitude and such, he noticed that it seemed to think this whole ordeal was a game. Everyone knows that all real games have an enjoyable reward at the end.
Of course, death wouldn't be such a bad thing, I suppose. He thought. At least I would be spared the unfortunates of senility.
Despite his agreement with himself that death was, indeed, not such a horrible thing, he was determined to beat every one of his competition in this room, no matter the cost. He looked them over, registering the stupid ones versus the worthy ones. There were very few of the latter.
However, he did notice a familiar face still about. Jared, the annoying fog-boy, still remained. This was almost the Sith Lord's first target, but he noticed that he had come to an agreement with the Freak. He rubbed the handle of the sacrificial dagger he had previously acquired, and tucked into his belt, but knew that he wouldn't be able to take both Jared and Freak with a simple knife.
Instead, Davin decided to wait it out, and look for an opening.
Dehgan - June 13, 2007 09:49 PM (GMT)
Joseph looked towards Davin, who also appeared to be watching the two battle it out, though to Dehgan he seemed like a hawk watching it's prey. But something didn't seem right to Dehgan. *For someone who calls us humans an overly violent, barbaric race, he sure seems to be intrested in getting us to kill each other...just who is he behind the mask?*
Athias - June 13, 2007 10:16 PM (GMT)
"Don't worry," Jared said, "I'm not even asking for a direct team up, I'm looking for a temporary ceasefire and a 'I scratch your back you scratch mine," policy, assuming we're not busy ourselves. You see, I've thought about this, and anything more or less would put me at a large disadvantage. If I make an offensive move to soon, I'll be an easy target, and everyone knows about my fog, so hiding it would be obvious AND seen as a sign of weakness. Now, if I directly teamed up with someone, me and that person would be viewed as to large of a threat and ganged up on. If I try to boast and act to strong, I'll also be ganged up on, and if I act weak, I'll be killed even faster. And out of all the scenarios which have gone through, teaming up with someone then purposely attacking them would be the WORST. The slightest mishap would mess it up, and I'd still have to fight, in addition, the fuss the person would make would catch other peoples attention, and there's a good chance others would gang up on either of us."
"And yes," Jared sighed, "I did consider everything, even attacking a partner, but I definitely wouldn't, more out of strategy then morals at the moment though. The thought I put into this is also why I decided to team up with you instead of someone else. Edge is to gung-ho, I don't like Sarkos (And besides, he's a bit to... emotional for my taste. I'm not an emotionless monster, but I'm afraid he'd act irrational.), and that sadistic sith has it in for me; seriously, he's over there freaking watching me! So it was either you or Degahn, I haven't really been watching you, and he's a bit shady f you ask me; so you guys were just about even. But you were closer, and easier to get to, so you were my choice in the end."
Dehgan - June 14, 2007 05:23 PM (GMT)
((someone actually spelled my name like it's pronounced...0.0))
((You sir, get a cookie.))
Dehgan moved towards Jared and Freak, watchin for any warning signs of an attack. He stopped several feet from them and spoke, "Sorry to bother you, but would you mind moving a little? I'd like to get a better look at the exit our gracious host took." It may not have looked it, but Dehgan had several spells prepped and ready for the worst case scenario.
Anime Freak - June 15, 2007 11:11 AM (GMT)
Freak looked at him, "I guess it couldn't hurt." She stepped off to the left and well out of the way of the door, in case there was a trap. She did NOT want to get taken out by an Inanimate Object like the Sayian was. "I'm guessing that you wish to see if you can simply open it?"
Dehgan - June 15, 2007 08:21 PM (GMT)
"Not quite...I want to get a look at the past, and see if anyone has ever walked through these doors besides HIM, and if they had, I want to know if there are any other ways to get out besides killing everyone else." Dehgan eye's seemed pained for a moment, "I have enough blod on my hands as it is."Dehgan placed a hand on the door and his eye's seemed to grow vacant. A golden glow i ng triangle appeared on the floor, surronding Dehgan, projecting an invisible barrier, denying entry to all but the most determined efforts. With this tunafish safe placed, Dehgan focused his energy towards the past, hoping to pierce through the veil of time and find an answer.
(Stupid censors on the word w i n...>.>)
Streea Barra - June 16, 2007 08:15 AM (GMT)
Dehgan's searched proved two things: One, that no one had ventured past this transportation device other than the Raven, and two, that no magic covered it. Only pure technology, the same technology which was between each and every door. The teleport, allowing this game to go on for as long as the Raven wanted, where ever it wished it to go. This final door was no different, just a simple turn of the knob, and anyone could be through the door. But what was on the other side was the better question? The destination for the teleport could be set to anywhere. Could the Raven be trusted to keep its word?
Dehgan - June 16, 2007 01:46 PM (GMT)
The Life returned to Dehgan's eye's and he removed his hand from the door. He let out a sigh and shook his head, "Well, so far as I can tell, the only person whose EVER made it through this door is the Raven. Also, there's no magic in this door, only technology. Also, it appears that we can go through it right now...however, I can't tell you where this door leads, and I REALLY don't like some of the possibilities that it could lead to..."
SketchedHero - June 18, 2007 12:42 AM (GMT)
As Dehgan explained his discovery, he was probably completely unaware of the threat that loomed so lethally just behind him. Davin had crept up behind the boy, holding his dagger in a reverse grip. He masked his approach with a mind-trick, then sped towards his enemy while he was studying the door. When Dehgan finished, the Sith Lord pounced, slashing out towards the boy's back with the sacrificial artifiact, then following the attack with a wide kick.
Athias - June 18, 2007 01:08 AM (GMT)
((I HATE YOU SKETCHED, 1/3 of my post is nil now.)
As Jared stood, awestruck by Dehgans magical spectacle, and disappointed to find out it was for nothing. Well, Dehgan DID say that the door could simply be opened, but the only question was, where did it lead. The raven was an honest creature it seemed, but it was also a deprived, Evil and sadistic one. So, the door could be to freedom, and the raven was just screwing with the fighters heads. However, there was a much greater chance that the door lead to somewhere, or someTHING far worse than where Jared currently was. After considering what could happen for a bit, Jared noticed how utterly silent the room had become. Edge and sarkos were fighting, but no one else was, the Sith, The alchemist, the mage and Jared were almost completely silent, either waiting for something to happen, or planning their next move.
Jared Considered his 3 options, Fight, Hide or see what was behind the mystery door. Hiding was definitely not a smart option, as he had already acknowledged that it would be seen as a sign of weakness. Now, as for fighting, an idiot would think that they would have a 1/6 chance of wining, but it was hard to calculate his chance of winning, so Jared had to do some guess work.
First off, Edge and Sarkos were fighting, Since they were both stubborn, and everyone would prefer to fight 2v1, they'd probably fight to the death, or knockout or something. There were 4 possibilities there: Edge wins, Sarkos Wins, They decide to join each other (Unlikely, but possible) or someone interrupts their fighting.
The second thing to consider was the was the Sith. Now, Jared knew that this guy was unpredictable, and while he had seen Jared make a pact with the Alchemist, Jared knew he'd strike eventually. Now, the biggest chance was that he would attack Jared. Now, there were a few possibilities: The sith Decides to stay in the background and wait, Attacks someone besides Jared (unlikely, unless it was freak.), The sith decided to Attack: Jared soon, Once he lets his guard down, or after Jared gets into a fight with someone else (Unlikely).
Then there was freak. The alchemist would most likely keep her word, but she probably wouldn't help Jared (Though there was a chance she might). Her possibilities -assuming she kept the truce, which Jared sincerely hoped- were: Both she and Jared lasted and fought each other, She got into a fight with someone and Jared saved/helped her, She got into a fight with someone and Jared was busy. She didn't keep the truce.
Now, the last thing to consider was Dehgan. Jared honestly had NO clue what to make of him, as he never really paid attention to him. He could only assume that he was semi-hostile, so as long as Jared kept out of his way, he would keep out of Jared's.
Now, all things considering, There were to many possibilities for Jared to consider. However, out of the most likely possibilities, Jared probably had a 1/4th chance of winning if he played his cards right, 1/8th if he didn't act right, and a 0/10 chance if he was being an idiot.
Jared decided that he would wait and see what would happen, and if worst came to worst, open the door.
-----
Edit: When Jared went out of thought, he saw the Sith, wielding the knife he had gotten in the second room, Sneak up behind Dehgan. Now, Jared could let the sith doe this, eliminating a potential threat, or He could do the smart thing, and eliminate an obvious threat while temporarily preventing a potential threat. If jared Saved dehgan, then the mage would at least not attack him until only he and Freak were left to fight.
Jared concentrated his energy into his legs, and ran at davin. Since the Sith had already lunged at Dehgan, Jared wouldn't be able to stop the first attack, but he could prevent any other attacks. Jared might have had some trouble fighting the sith, but since Dehgan would most likely help him, Jareds biggest enemy would -hopefully- go down easily.
SketchedHero - June 18, 2007 01:40 AM (GMT)
Without checking the damage he had done to his first target, Davin turned to the enemy now running at him. A foolish move to simply run towards one who had already proved himself against the boy, but the Sith Lord smirked nonetheless. This was going to prove exciting, after all.
Just as the nuisance (Jared) got within a couple of meters, Davin sprung forward, concentrating the Force into a powerful dose of lightning. Behind that, his dagger was waiting for when he got close enough to use it.
"Jared, you foolish boy."
Athias - June 18, 2007 02:08 AM (GMT)
Jared just kind of Stared in disbeleif, he couldn't beleive what had jsut happened. Was the Sith expecting Jared's move, were his senses better than thought, or did he just get lucky. Jared didn't have time to ponder this new development however, as a bolt of lightning was coming RIGHT AT HIM. Jared leaped over the lightning, and came flying at the Sith. Now, Jared KNEW the Jedi had the knife, so simply ramming into the Sith would be suicide. Jared concentrated almost ALL of his stored energy into his hands, absorbedsome of the force from his current assault, and blasted all of the energy out through his hands. Now, this was the first time Jared had tried this, and he didn't know what to expect, so he had no clue what was going to happen next. The sheer amount of force jared released was huge, shooting out of his hands like a shotgun, cracking the ground below him, and sending him flying backwards. Jared landed less that gracefully, even bouncing off the ground on the first impact. Though he didn't take an excessive amount of damage from the collision with the ground, using up all of his energy at once made him feel, exhausted. He lazily kicked the air, hoping he could gain enough force back before the Sith recovered.
SketchedHero - June 18, 2007 02:31 AM (GMT)
((They sure don't make lightning as fast as they used to... :<))
The force that Jared had shot from his hands was powerful, but simply misdirected. It smashed into the flooring in front of the Sith Lord, knocking him back a couple feet, but causing little to no damage. His ears rung from the noise, however, and it took him a few moments to recover from that. He stumbled a bit to his side, dizzied.
Finally, he managed to regain his footing, and spotted the boy laying helplessly on the ground. Davin stretched his hand towards Jared, and began clenching his open palm as if he were holding some invisible coffee mug. The effect, however, was supposed to grab the boy's windpipe with the Force, and eventually suffocate him.
"Lucky for you, you shall not live to tangle with another Sith Lord, Mr. Jared." He said, as he commenced crushing the boy's windpipe.
Anime Freak - June 18, 2007 03:05 AM (GMT)
Freak simply watched all this happen, noting that she could save this man's life, yet have to turn around and kill right after that. She didn't like the thought, but caved in anyways. She leaped up, shield blocking to her front, sword arm raised to strike at the extended arm of the Sith Lord. "This has to STOP!!" She cried out as she brought down her arm.
Dehgan - June 18, 2007 03:32 AM (GMT)
Dehgan had, suprisingly, felt the Sith's approach at the last moment. Dehgan has twisted in an attempt to avoid a fatal blow, and had succeded in doing so. however, he had not entirely dodged the knife, which had left a, thankfully rather shallow, right side. The kick had sent him tumbling, but he quickly recovered. automatically prepared for the worst, several spells were automatically begining to charge. Dehgan recovered in a defensive stance, glowering down at Davin, "Why can't you get this through your head!? Killing each other is exactly what he wants. We need to prove that we're not a bunch of mindlessly aggresive apes."
Athias - June 18, 2007 09:25 PM (GMT)
((Well, considering you've used this against jared 2-3 times already, Jared was expecting it. Besides, people avoid Athias lightning attacks... Also, I don't know much about how the force works, so bare with me on this.))
The Sith had recovered much faster then Jared had hoped, and only a few seconds after Jared got up, he felt his throat close up. He gasped for air, but in vain, as little air was able to slip through his throat. Acting purely on impulse, Jared stuck his finger into his mouth, and released a small blast of force. The blast was enough to open his throat, and right after his first breath, which was really more of a gasp, Jared leaped to the side, hoping to throw the sith off. (I'm not sure whether or not this would work, but considering the fact that if this was impossible to get rid of, it would be VERY cheap.)
"Now," Jared said to Dehgan in a rough tone, -that blast of force hurt his throat- and never taking his eyes off of the Sith. "I apologise that I couldn't save you earlier, but I was lost in thought."
Dehgan - June 19, 2007 02:38 AM (GMT)
Dehgan also kept his eye's focused on the sith lord, and he responded to Jared, "It's not a problem. I shouldn't have dropped my diamond of protection so quickly. I was careless. However..." Dehgan chuckled slightly, "It would appear our Dark Side friend is in a spot of trouble, seeing as how he now has three opponents gunning for him at once." Dehgan shrugged, "It's a shame really. With his help you could have probably made it out easier."
SketchedHero - June 19, 2007 03:05 AM (GMT)
Davin pulled his arm back in time to evade the attempt at chopping it off. He jumped back, using the Force to hurtle further backwards, then curled up into a tight somersault, landing with both feet planted. His dagger rested easily in his right hand.
"You people really think that we could simply all run out and take the Raven if we were to gang up on him? That's pure stupidity, and you all should know it, considering you've seen exactly what I've seen in terms of what he can do." He glared at them from underneath his blindfold. "Now, if you would please, shall we?"
The Sith Lord twirled the dagger between his index and middle finger, wishing to himself that he had his lightsabers at the moment. However, he knew that such a wish was a stupid one, as it was probably back where he had been kidnapped. It would certainly prove useful against these infidels, though.
Again, Davin found himself waiting silently for his opponents to make their moves, smirking as he noted how confident they all sounded, simply because they had the advantage in numbers.
Anime Freak - June 19, 2007 03:36 AM (GMT)
Freak landed from her failed attack. She then glared at Davin, "I don't think that attacking that Raven character would do anything. I simply want to get out of here in at least one piece. I'd also like to get those of us who remain out as well. Since it seems like that isn't an option here . . ." She then turned around and faced the door. "I may just have to take matters into my own hands here!"
With that she changed her arms back to normal and reached out for the door. Opening it up, she snuck a peek over her shoulder, "I'll be seeing you later I hope." Then she jumped through the doorway, closing it behind her. Here goes something, was the last thing she thought. Then all went white.
((Blah Blah, the ball is in your court Streea.))
Streea Barra - June 19, 2007 03:45 AM (GMT)
The door immediately shot open once more, as Freak flew out across the room, the gunshot blasting out, and blood spraying forth from the back of her head. The bullet went straight through her brain, instantly killing her so she didn't feel any pain. However, the hole was large enough that the only reconizable feature was her bottom lip, barely hanging on. The rest was one massive hole, and the force of the gunshot sent her flying across the room, smashing her body against the opposite wall, cracking all the bones, and leaving it in a heap on the floor, a massive blood slide down the wall. A leathered glove reached out and grabbed the handle of the door, and closed it shut. Only five guests still remained, and the time was ticking. Only one could survive this horrid nightmare, who would it be?
Edge - June 19, 2007 04:02 AM (GMT)
(I suppose I probally should uh...respond. And stuff.)
Edge couldn't completely dodge the icicles, unfortinatly. He got stabbed by a few of them.
"Shit...I guess that's what happens when you take about a week to react to an attack..."
But mere icicles wouldn't be enough to put down Edge for good. Edge ripped the icicles out of his own body, and tossed them at Sarkos. He had no clue if he was immune to his own attacks or not, but he did it anyway, and then he followed it up by a right hook to the jaw.
(I dunno why I waited so long...oh well.)
Sarkos - June 19, 2007 04:36 AM (GMT)
(Instant response)
Sarkos stood up and staired into the icicles with a mocking grin.
*Psh, my own attacks against me, what a joke*
He stood their willingly as the icicles hit his arm and chest.
"ARGH!!"
Many thoughts ran across Sarkos' head as the icicles hit his body, many of which questioned everything about him.
After his painful seziure into his mind he fell flat onto the ground just before Edge threw his punch.
Sarkos quickly got up as he moaned in pain again as two icicles tore out of his back, blood and some flesh dropped to the ground near Sarkos.
In agonising pain he stood up strait and felt the giant icicles that tore out of his back.
*What the hell?! why do I have two giant icicles coming out my back, and whats worse my jacket is ruined :(
Ok ok, think, apparently if I absorb my own icicles I turn into a giant ice crystal, ok ok, right then, time for a change*
Sarkos' eyes flashed and had changed to a dark shade of purple.
"Time for a different tactic aye? It's too cold for ice now"
He jumped backwards and did another pattern with his hands, his hair stuck up and as he landed on the ground an electrical wave was sent through the ground.
Dehgan - June 19, 2007 06:46 PM (GMT)
Dehgan watched as Freak's limp body crumpled. He sighed and shook his head, "For someone who seems to hate us for our violent ways, our host seems to enjoy killing us." he shrugged and looked over at Davin. Dehgan was not aobut to mistake him for an easy kill. He knew full well that he was one of the most dangerous people in the room. Dehgan simply had to keep his guard up and wait for his chance to strike. A voice nagged at him in the back of his mind *Even if it cost's Jared's life?* Dehgan shook himself out of that state *I need to survive....that's all that matters.* Dehgan suddenly launched an attack on Davin, 12 orbs of energy straking out from his open palms, all converging on Davin from diffrent directions.
((Multi magic missle! : D ))
Athias - June 19, 2007 07:03 PM (GMT)
"..." Jared just stood there in amazement, not even bothering to go help Freak, as she was obviously not coming back. "..." It just happened so suddenly, and it showed Jared how serious the situation was. Jared figured that the door would be worth a shot, a possible escape if worst came to worst. And while Jared knew that the situation was bad, he never realized how real it really was. After all, most of those who died he either didn't really know about, or were idiots. But while Jared didn't know Freak, she seemed to be noble, and she died attempting a noble cause.
"Hey Dehgan," Jared said in a weak tone, "It's only... 2 against one; I guess your calculations were wrong. The funny thing is that I used to think my calculations were always right, but I guess I was... Wrong." Jared laughed weakly, before taking a step upwards, and then another step, and another, until Jared was a fet feet off the ground. "Well, I save this power just in case... just in case my calculations are wrong. So far, it's infallible, but considering how long I've been lately, it will tunafish me." A tear rolled down Jareds cheek, and he seemed to be completly silent for a moment, just before cursing at the top of his lungs.

Davin sensed the energy orbs flying at him, each at their own angles. No easy way to dodge these. He knew that he wouldn't be able to avoid all of them, but most was certainly possible.
The Sith Lord leapt upwards, propelling himself with the Force, then flipped his legs above his head, so that he now faced the ground. This maneuver managed to get him out of the way of four of the threatening balls of energy. Three more flew in his direction, and he managed to change their course with a wave of his palms, redirecting them towards Jared. The final five were now shooting towards his lower body. He split his legs, and two flew underneath him, then shot two of the remaining three spiraling back towards Dehgan. Unfortunately, he was unable to dodge the last one, which smacked him straight in the abdomin.
He was sent spiralling backwards, then smashed into the floor face first. Davin layed there for a moment, regaining his composure, but stood quickly. The Sith spun about on his heel, slinging a bit of blood from the side of his mouth to the ground.
"Very good, indeed. You seem to have made me bleed." He chuckled when he realized the rhyme, then wiped the blood away with his bandaged right arm. "Your turn."
Davin held his hands out to the side, summoning the Force. It slowly built up into something invisible to the non-Force-sensitive eye, but quite deadly no matter who you were. The spears of midnight black, as they were called by many, slowly formed by his side. He forged six of the lethal weapons, three on each side.
As he finished up, the Sith Lord leapt at Dehgan, then flung his arms out, unleashing his undetectable power. A few of them flew out at an angle, so that they would come in to less predictable areas.
He landed a few meters in front of his opponent, prepared to follow up his attack with another.
Dehgan - June 20, 2007 05:23 PM (GMT)
Dehgan, who had been temporarily distracted by Jared's sudden burst of emo, was brought back to attention when some sort of invisible blade cut his leg. Cursing in pain, he sent out a shockwave, defelecting the other projectiles away from him. He placed one hand over the wound in his leg and willed it to close over. He didn't have the time to fully heal it at the moment, but he wasn't about to fight with a gaping wound in his leg. Dehga glanced over a Jared, who was now having an emotional break down. *Well bugger...now it's me and the Sith.* Dehgan almost smiled, "That was quite impressive as well. You'll have to tell me how to do that sometime." A strange black orb suddenly appeared in Dehgan's palm. He slammed the orb into the ground, and for a few seconds, nothing seemed to happen. Suddenly a black spike burst forth from the ground, aimed Directly at Davin, and several more were on their way.
((I seriously hope Jared's not gonna go do something stupid...))
Athias - June 21, 2007 12:54 AM (GMT)
((Yes, it might be a bit emo, but COME ON! Eleven people have died for the love of god, you don't just compete in a competition where you have to fight to the death, and 11 people have already died without some mental trauma, honestly.))
"In case you want to know how I'm doing this," Jared said, his voice eerily devoid of emotion, "I'm not telling you. However, I will tell you this; while I tend to rely on my force energy, I also use regular energy. This means that, while I save them for the more dire situations, I have more abilities than what I've shown thus-far!" After saying that, Jared held his hands in a position similar to that of someone charging a beam. After a small flash, Jared took his his hands out of the position, and held a translucent ball of unknown substance in his hand. He then threw the ball at Davin, and it rocketed forward at unnatural speed.
((By the way, I might explain why later, but this ball will explode on contact. Also, I do have a reason for Jared 'walking on air', but you'll have to wait and see what it is.))

Davin looked towards the mass of projectiles flying towards him. Dodging wouldn't be necessary in this situation, as he was pretty sure the spikes were solid. He reached out with the Force, grabbing hold of each of the spikes, then drew them in towards himself slowly.
The ball of energy would prove a bit more difficult to get rid of, but not impossible. The Sith threw one of the spikes towards it, hoping that it would stop it. Sure enough, it did, but not without exploding. The shockwave reached Davin, but it wasn't powerful enough to do anything aside from tossing his hair back.
Switching his stance to a low crouch, the spikes began spiraling around him, and he was once again grinning menacingly. The projectiles picked up speed after each rotation, and Davin's grin grew ever larger. Finally, after about their fifteenth revolution, the Sith began sling-shotting them rapidly in single file, aiming for Jared's lower torso.
As the spikes hurtled through the air, Davin boosted their speed with the Force, ensuring that they couldn't be reflected back at himself.
Dehgan - June 26, 2007 11:10 PM (GMT)
The Spikes suddenly divered from their collision corse with Jared, flying through the air a few feet before suddenly dissolving. Dehgan sighed, happy he had been able to stop them in time. Returning his gaze to Davin, Dehgan began to recalculate his foes abilities, * All right... Those powers of his make it difficult to land a hit. I'll need to try something else...* His eye's shot to freaks body "I could use necromancy too...* Dehgan shook his head *What're you thinking? You can't do that! We don't have time for a proper necromantic ceremony anyway.* Deciding on a course of action, Dehgan swung both of his arms, sending out two crescent waves of energy, both of which were arcing towards Davin at diffrent angles, one arcing across the gorund towards Davins Leg's, The other Hurtling down towards his head.

((I suppose I could just deflect these... But that'd feel too god-modish.))
Once again, his opponent was using projectiles to attack from afar. These, unfortunately, were not necessarily solid, and, therefore, would be impossible for him to use the Force against. Instead, he jumped from the ground, twisting himself in hopes to dodge the oncoming waves of energy.
His hopes failed him.
The lower of the waves grazed his thigh, burning into his flesh. The Sith grimaced, biting his lip almost to a point of drawing blood. It hurt, to put it simply. He landed on his side, but threw himself from the ground, keeping the pain to a minimal with help of the Force.
Of course, Davin was feeling a bit angry at the moment. He glared though his blindfold, grinding his teeth, then raised his arm out in front of himself. A small explosion emitted from his palm, but was immediately suppressed into an energy field. It shot from his hand, speeding quicker than a bullet, directly towards Dehgan's upper torso.
Dehgan - June 27, 2007 02:59 AM (GMT)
Dehgan saw the Sith's movements, and predicting a Projectile attack, raised a barrier. However, he hadn't predicted the power this attack would hold, and the barrier could only hold for a moment before it shattered, and Dehgan was launched backwards from the force of the explosion, slamming into a wall. Dehgan dropped to the ground, and struggled quickly to his feet. At the moment he wasn't sure, but he might have broken something from that last attack. Yet strangely, he smiled, "I really must admit, it feels good to have a fight this difficult again."
