The forest of Spores:

Out of all the odd places in the fifth realm, the Mycotopian forest, often called the forest of spores, was by far the most bizarre. It was unknown how exactly the forest came to be, there are many theories (Though most people blame overgrowth scientists) but nothing has been proven. Anyways, the odd thing about this forest is that it's a forest comprised entirely of mushrooms. Small, almost furry mushrooms in place of fungus, hundreds of thin, long mushrooms in place of grass, and giant mushrooms the size of trees, with more mushrooms for branches. Only two of the mushrooms in the forest are poisonous, and those are the most rare. However, the biggest problem of the forest are the 'magical mushrooms', mushrooms which are not deadly, but create spores which cause the victims to sleep or hallucination. Another problem with the forest are giant bugs, though they only come out when disturbed.

Due to it's odd nature, and because it's dangerous, but not overly so, the forest is a popular attraction for warriors. Tournaments are often held there, but single battles are often held too.

Storm was hopping from mushroom to mushroom, enjoying every moment of it.

"WOOHOO! This is fun! and to think this place was all the way out in the middle of nowhere!"

He laughs as he continues to jump from mushroom to mushroom and blinks as he stops, seeing a figure below him under all of the incredibly huge mushrooms.

"What the hell was that?" He asked himself as he continued to jump, this time starting toward where the figure was going.

Athias, who was still getting used to his most recent form change, had decided to take a break from the serious stuff, such as protecting the realms, and visit the illustrious forest of spores. When he entered the outer area of the forest, he was greeted by a small-scale tournament, there weren't a tremendous amount of fighters, but the chances were Athias could find someone could to test out his new form on. Sadly, no-one in the tourney wanted to face a lightning user, as users of that element get annoying to fight after a while. Not even the fire or chaos magic users would have a match against him, at least, not a fair one. Athias was not discouraged though, as he heard that many of the more devoted fighters were in deeper parts of the forest. While the ecosystem consisted entirely of different versions of the same plant, Athias was still very interested in it. After all, Mushrooms the size and strength of trees were hard to come by.

The homunculus has not made it far when he ran into a rather... eccentric fighter by the name of storm. This odd character had managed to spot him from the top of such a large mushroom tree, which wasn't very surprising al thigns considering. The forest was somewhat dark in this area, but wearing crimson red had a tendency to get you noticed. Especially in a place where the dominent colors were white and brownish-white.

"Hey," The red boy said in a freindly tone, "are you here looking for a casual fight, or just bouncing on the mushrooms?"

Storm merely looked up at the boy and smirked.

"I dunno, does that flat head of yours count?" He laughed as he continued to bounce in one place then sighed as he hopped off the bouncy surface.

Storm knew this guy had to have been tough seeing as how he hadn't already been challenged.

"I'm Storm. Nice to meetchya." he said as he stuck out his hand in order to shake his.

"Umm... What?" Athias had certainly picked an odd person to spar with. He should known, the guy was hopping around on mushrooms for god's sakes! ...Then again, he could have accidentally stepped on a "magic" mushroom. Either way, Athias hadn't exactly hit the jackpot, but hopefully, the strange man would give him a good spar. Athias stuck out his hand, and grabbed storms, he felt as small amount of static electricity has the hands made contact, and instantly pulled his hand back, but not because of the static, at least not directly.
"Sorry about that, I still heven't adjusted to this new form, thats why I'm looking for a fight. So what do you say?" Athias jumped back, he stumbled, but he didn't fall on his back, and improvement. "I'll let you get the first attack."

Storm blinked in confusement as he looked at the small warrior jump back and challenge him. he sighed as he jumped back a bit, readying himself.

"If I must then I guess I have no other option," he smirked "but the loser buys the winner sake."

He unsheathed his sword as he looked onward towards his newfound enemy.

"I believe in fair fights so if you insist on me starting THEN ALLOW ME TO NOT DISSAPOINT YOU!"

Storm jolted at the short fighter with great speed, his sword behind him, readdy to send a feirce up-slash.

Athias' skin flashed red for a second, then the sudden light ended as fast as it had began. Though the boy appeared unnarmed at first, when the fash was over, he was hold a moderate sized spear, with a white blade and red handle. There was also something different about the boy, didn't he used to have a marking on his forehead? It might have been the trick of the light, but it was gone now.
Athias Darted to the side at an incredible speed, crashing into one of the giant mushroom stalks. The force of the extreme movement caused a mini sonic-boom, which would most likely deter his opponent, just enough to counter his attack. Unfortuneatly for Athias, due to his inability to succesfully use his powers, getting his spear out of the mushroom used up any potential chance he had of taking advantage of the sonic boom.
"Okay," he sighed, already filling with adrenaline, "My sonic is usless in an enclosed area, now to try my second new power, static!" Athias' skin flashed a few times, when the flashes ended, he found that his hair was standing up. So far, the effects of his static move was disapointing, but he had to see what contact with another would do in this form before ruling out ever using it. "By the way, my name's Athias, but I think 'Seizure Boy' Would be a better name to call me at the moment!" Athias Ran at Nick, he moved at a fast pace, but not nearly at the pace he had evaded Nik's attack with.

Storm could only blink in amazement for a few seconds.

"Damn he's fast," he muttered as he turned to face him, "but I'm faster!"

He darted towards Athias, coming within mere inches of touching him then quickly swung to the left, exactly afterwards beginning to run around him in a circle so fast it created copies of himself.

"Now time for one of my favorites!"

He stopped behind him, slashing at him with his sword, then sending his foot into the blade to increase the power of the swing and the impact.

(PS: Sorry that I'm not really that big on the whole paragraph posts, I do alot better on instant messengers. @.@ XD)

Nick's blade would have cut Athias in two, had he not swung his spear up to counter it as he did. However, the force of Nick's blace was too strong for Athias' spear, which was poorly supported due to Athias' arm moving awkwardly over his back to block it. (When Athias runs, he ducks slightly.) The force of the swing caused him to lose his balance and tumble forward, dropping the spear, and about to bump into Nick. (Judging by the positions both characters are in, it will be had to stop Athias from making contact with you, but you could give him a good blow. Be warned though, as contact with him will cause somethign... unexpected to happen.)

Storm looked at his opponent rolling at him and he jumped away to avoid it.

"Havin' fun kid?" He laughed out as he merely jumped over him and then slashed downwards with his sword, making contact with him.

((That seems a bit godmoddish, and you have to make contact with Athias, not your sword. But since you tried to make it so that I got to test my attack, I'll let it slide. Also, unless the wholse sword, not just the blade, is made of metal, the electricity won't co through it, so I'll bend the rules a bit >.>, just this once.))

As the sword made contact with Athias, two things happened. The fist thing was pretty obvious, a blade was just imbedded in his shoulder, which hurt by the way. The second thing, was energy which traveled through the blade, which Athias had decided to use as a medium. Despite the pain, Athias grinned, he knew what this attack did, and his foe would definity not expect it. A static which could only be described as equivalent to a series of mini-explosions wracked both Athias and his opponent. Taking advantage of his foes surprise, Athias jumped back, still crackling with the static.
If Storm was paying close attention to Athias' spear, he would have noticed it glow fainly red, and change it's shape into a red orb. The orb orriginally had a mark on it similar to the one on Athias' head, but storm had never seen the orbs' base form, and wouldn't have noticed that the mark on it was different that the original mark. The new mark on the orb was a triagle similar to the ones on Athias' cheeks, with a small line potruding from each side aside from the base. "This is my second form," Athias said smiling, "Sonic and static! It's full of tricks, so prepare for the unexpected."

(9To be perfectly honest, I'm mixed about Athias, I like his electricity powers, but they're not very orriginal. I've already gotten rid of chaos powers, and I think that, aside from static, i'm going to get rid of electricity. Athias will always have Storm-themed attacks, but might not be a lightning user. But it will definitly take me some time to consider what to do. What are your thoughts Nick?)

yes yes it is.

But the reason I wanted to do it in aim or YIM is because it doesnt require so much detail... which I suck at as u can tell by comparing our post sizes. lawls. so if u could or atleast like get msn or sumthin' atleast for the battle we can have the battle much quicker get our points and then I guess one of us posts it.)

((Listen, personally, I prefer the more liad back RP, AIM RP's are fun, but I find that this [type of] RP offers an altogether more rewarding experience. I'm fine with you posting in the current format you're posting in now, I never complained. And besides, in addition to everything else, I need a slower RP to give me time to contemplate what Athias should be, Eletric or Sonic/Static.))

Storm smirked.

"So you've transformed, big deal! I'll wipe that stupid smirk RIGHT OFF YOUR FACE!" He screamed out as he ran at his enemy full speed, scooping up his sword as he ran and he swung it behind him, ready to slash at his newly formed foe.
