Title: Spaced

Anyone else watch this? This has got to be my favorite non anime show.

For those of you who don't know, Simon Pegg (who played as Shaun in Shaun of the dead and Officer Angel in Hot Fuzz) wrote the script and acted along side Nick Frost (Ed in Shaun of the Dead and Danny in Hot Fuzz) as well as many other great actors.

Actually, if it weren't for episode three of this series, Shaun of the Dead wouldn't exsist.

It's fantastic. I remember the first episode I watched was the one in season 2 where they go out for a drink and end up... well, I won't spoil it for any forumgoers who haven't seen it.

Watching it makes you realise how bad a lot of comedy on TV nowadays is.

Oh damn, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost?

I'm interested in it now, moreso because you guys are saying it's good. I'll have to keep my eye on it.

If you've got some spare cash, grab the DVD box-set. It's only two seasons, but it's far and away the best sitcom since Red Dwarf.

It also has Jessica Stevenson in, who you may recognise from recent episodes of QI and Dr. Who, and Peter Serafinowicz, who was in Look Around You, Shaun of the Dead (the flatmate) and voiced Darth Maul.

Actually I'm going to be quite frank, Monty Python's the only show I watch that airs in England. I've never watched anything else like Dr. Who or the UK version of The Office.

Not that I've never had an interest in the shows you guys have over there. I just never get to checking the BBC channel.

I'll have to keep my eye on that.

Spaced is the best comedy TV England has put out since Monty Python. It's way better than The Office (which got passed on the Funny Meter by the US version long ago anyway).

Too bad it'll never see release in the US (music license quibbles). You can still order it from www.amazon.co.uk and play it on a Region-cracked player (like I do), however.

Hell no it didn't!

I like both versions, but the UK version's legendary.
This isn't a "UK is funnier than US" rant on my part, I'm just saying the British Office was better.
