Title: The end of the Doctor?
Description: I blame it on Torchwood

Say it ain't so, Doctor! Looks like this is the last regeneration for the Time Lord, with Russell T. Davies planning to cancel the long-running TV programme.
While I'd love to believe that someone will save the show at the last minute, somehow I get the feeling we're reaching the end of Doctor Who for good. What a shame.
I grew up on repeats of the old Baker series, and while I wish Ecclestone had stayed on a little longer, the new series has been great.

Outraged comments? Fond memories? Questions like "What's Doctor Who?"?

Yeah, not happening. This guy got this information from The Sun newspaper, for lack of a more deserving term, and that should say it all.

For those that don't know, The Sun is the epitome of a tabloid paper. Nigh on all of it's stories are pure rumour and those that prove to be true have already been reported in much more reputable newspapers.

So RTS wants to quit. Whoop-dee-fecking-doo. Fine, he can bugger off for all Christendom can care. The Beeb will just get someone who can actually produce decent Dr. Who storylines, I say bring back the writers of the old series.

Just look in any toyshop in Britain (I've no idea of the situation overseas). There's hundreds of action figures, playsets, remote-control Daleks, Cybermen masks, sonic screwdriver torches, etc, etc. And then there's the books, VHS', DVD's, casstte-tapes, CD's and more.
No way would the BBC kill off such a cash-cow of a programme.
